The baluster shaped capitals are embellished with impressive layered graduating shell designs and are fitted with the original fully hallmarked detachable sconces. The sconces are encircled with scroll decorated rims. Accented with four stylised leaf motifs. The surface of each scone is embellished with a contemporary engraved crest depicting a double-headed eagle. Its wings displayed uplifted. The base of each candlestick has a quatrefoil shaped sunken well encompassed by further fine and impressive leaf and scroll detail. In the same design as the upper knop. The surface of one lobe of the well of each candlestick is ornamented with the identical crest to that of the sconce. Very nice vintage pair of teak candlesticks from Norway. Both branded on bottom"ifp" and"Genuine Teak Norway" Total size of each is 7 5/8" tall x 1 3/4" wide. No cracks or repairs. There is one very small dent on the lip of one of the candlesticks that only shows up at certain angles- see photos. Both have some wood wear and wax residue to the inside of the holders from candles being replaced. Striking display pieces.

E k l e c k t i c s… Item: Vintage German Silverplate Reticulated Art Deco Bowl and Candlesticks. Description: This is a beautiful reticulated set of candlesticks and bowl. The bowl is marked WMF. A German company which start their business in the late 19th century. It is also marked"EPNS" has a reticulated pattern all over and stands on four feet. The candlesticks are Reed& Barton and are marked sterling although I don't think they are. I have not tested them but there is a yellow tinge to the silver just below where the candle is inserted. The candlesticks have initials engraved on one side. There is also a place for initials on the others side. Both pieces are in excellent condition overall. There are some fine scratches consistent with age and use. The bowl is approx. 10" wide x 3 1/2" high. The candlesticks ... moreare approx. 9 3/4" high and the base is 4" high. Vintage Silver-Plated Candlesticks - Classic Design
Silver-plated candlesticks in a very simple. Very classic design. Candlesticks will hold a normal size taper. Each candlestick stands just under 5 inches high and is just under 5 inches wide at the base and 2.5 inches wide at the top. It is 1 inch in diameter at the candle holder. Classic Gorham Sterling Silver Candlesticks Vintage Pair # 662 Not Scrap
For auction. A pair of classic Gorham sterling silver candlesticks. They measure about 4 1/2" high and are 4" in diameter across the base. They are very attractive and will fit into any style of decor. I see wax remnants on the base of both(photos 9& 10) and in the candlestick cups. There is a small ding to the rim of both candlesticks and light marks to the top of the base(photos 11& 12) Even so. The removable sconce is 2 3/8 inches or 62 mm across the length of its upper rim by 1 3/4 inches or 45 mm across the width of its upper rim from side to side and it has an internal candle holding aperture that is just under 7/8 of an inch or 2 1 mm across its width or diameter. Both candlesticks stand 8 1/ 4 inches or 21 0 mm tall to the tops of the sconce rims when they are in place. The candlesticks are both made from sterling silver in oval shapes that have relief step decorated stems and bases. This auction is for a pair of vintage hand painted porcelain candle sticks. There are no chips or cracks the only issues is some minor paint loss from age and cleaning over the years. In the description I wrote that they are pre 1920's They could be as early as the 1800's but I'm not positive. The glaze goes inside the bottom wich is unusual. makes me wonder if there is some other use for them. The spot in photo 4 is loss of paint not a chip. A silver manufacturing company that later became the Hickok-Matthews Company. The candlesticks are decorated on the rim, shoulders, ankles and base with an intricate scrolling pattern. The candlesticks do not have removeable bobeches or wax drips. The central portion of the candlesticks are monogrammed with the cursive initials EGP on one side and LPH on the other. Both have holes at base which are original( not drilled) and I assume are meant for ease in electrifying if so desired. Hispano morsque Islamic Designs in yellow. Blue, and green on an off while base glaze. Safi Pottery is very well desired. Specially early pieces which are so harder to find and rarely seen. Fantastic pair of candlesticks in the design of an African man and woman. Both are jet black. Highly glazed, with white eyebrow and eye details and wonderful bright red lips and earrings. Both are 5-3/4" tall. The woman is 4-1/4" across the shoulders and the man is 4-1/2" across. The man wears a wide brimmed basket that narrows on the inside to hold the same size candle as the woman.
