An exquisite item, with its original delicately embossed white internally cased yellow glass shade, and yellow glass font. Good Quality Late Victorian/Edwardian Vianne Etched Glass Oil Lamp Shade
This is a good quality late Victorian/Edwardian Vianne etched glass oil lamp shade that is decorated with bands of flowers and leaves. The Vianne name appears on the side of the shade(see pic) It measures 6.5"16.5cm in diameter and stands 6.5"16.5cm tall. The base opening measures just under 4"10cm meaning the shade will fit a standard size oil lamp burner shade gallery. 3.75"9.5cm top opening. No cracks or chips to the glass. Victorian Edwardian Antique oil lamp brass under-mount fitting for glass font
This brass font under-mount is ready to be fitted to a glass oil lamp font. These are difficult to find spares and I had a number made many years ago when restoring antique oil lamps. After over 40 years in the hobby I have finished doing restoration work and am selling off old lamp spares. Parts etc. The screw thread diameter of this under-mount is approximately 21mm, the height 23mm and the diameter at the widest point 40mm. A useful item for the oil lamp enthusiast.

Thanks for looking at this rare and useful and even beautiful piece of glass. I'm told it would be hung over oil-lamps and candles to stop the ceiling getting discoloured. Nowadays it would look lovely and be a conversation piece if dangled over a candle and serve the same purpose though we have rollers on long handles now. It's out of a cottage loft clearance. Few inclusions and bubbles but absolutely perfect condition with lovely smooth rim and great handle for hanging. Sold as seen but I'm sure the buyer will be delighted. Just £20 start. Good luck!

VICTORIAN EDWARDIAN BRASS VERITAS OIL LAMP BASE MINIATURE KEROSENE READING LAMP
Up for auction is this attractive brass oil lamp base. With a coarse thread( approx 23/ 24 mm internal) for a 6 line size Kosmos paraffin burner. Standing 180mm tall( approx 7 inches) the base/ foot is 112mm diameter and has a loaded/ iron base underneath to make the lamp stable. These lamps could be had with various shades. Or a chimney-mounted reflector( reading lamp) and were sold by Veritas for many years, appearing in victorian times, the catalogue page shown is from the well known 1933 catalogue. No dents or damage. Stands straight, and no cracks. Could do with a polish but is essentially clean. These are quite hard to find in good condition. Careful packing assured! Check out my other lots.
