I have seen lamps like this and the metal is thinner and fragile this is tough and heavy; I guess that’s good because it can last more. But either original or knockoff I think it is beautiful and well made with all the glasses there and with no cracks. Beautiful example of pure French art nouveau style. Measuring 24” ht to finial by 20” diameter the shade by 9” diameter the base. The finial bolt has to be welded to the base or just get a longer bolt because this is not holding the shade in place.

Up for auction is this early all original 8-panel American slag glass lamp attributed to Miller. Circa 1910.The base is stamped"223" One of the few early pieces with one-socket upright mount, fitter ring holder. Original socket and pull-chain. It is 22" high- top to bottom of the base, with shade is at 19" wide and 7" high. Beautiful light amber/caramel color shade, with the traces of the original metal color overlay made in red. A few vein heat cracks and a professionally soldered inside seam as seen on the pictures. No other breaks or chips, all original glass panel clasps. Ships for $70 in the lower US 48 expertly packed. Stunning big Edward Miller table lamp stamped E& M Co. on the base. It measures 24 inches high and 16 inches across the widest part of the shade. It needs re wiring and has not been used for many decades. Unfortunately the shade has some losses to the detail(see picture 3) and the basket detail is missing from 3 sides(every other one) This could be restored. However I think it looks beautiful as it is. The base and the finial are stunning and the detail is excellent. It is a very stylish item. With a gentle clean and re-wiring this lamp will look exquisite in a period or quirky home. It is very heavy and I will post in the UK in a very large box by courier. Early 20th Century 6 Panels One Panel is Cracked top/bottom. Condition& Description: This offering is for an early 20th century table lamp made and signed by the miller lamp company. This lamp is in preowned condition and does show slight signs of age but over all it is in beautiful condition with the exception of one panel being cracked from the top to bottom. The crack took me a while to see but it is present yet the slag glass is holding inside the metal casting perfectly fine. The ... morerest of the lamp is in spectacular condition with not other flaws and a beautiful light patina showing through parts of the metal. Lamp is signed on the underside of the base. Base is heavy cast iron with a brass stem and cast iron metal holding the slag glass panels. Overlay metal work on the shade has a nice hammered aged look to it with some dust present and light surface scratches yet I think that is from production and not actu al scratches. The base is etched with a very nice leaf/floral design cut deep in to the cast iron. Also included with the lamp is an old 8 foot extension cord that match's the lamp's cord. Beautiful Old Antique Miller Lamp- signed on socket with ornate scrolles on oval shape Brass Base. Cyclinder is enclosed with borders of designs in Brass. Reverse glass hand paint is of house with red roof and pine trees by ocean with beach. Side to side width of cylinder is 9 inches. Oval base at longest is about 8 inches. Height is 8.5 inches. Small possible hairlines seen on one side of glass- not on the backside. Unnoticeable unless carefully looking as they merge into a textured glass. Some paint loss on interior. Antique Slag Glass Lamp Art Nouveau, possibly Miller, Beautiful!
As far as I know. Most of this antique slag glass lamp is original. The only exceptions are the sockets, which have been replaced along with the pull chains. The lamp has also been rewired. The slag glass appears to be all original. There are no breaks on the shade or anywhere else. It's gorgeous. Based on the online research that I've done, this lamp appears to be made by the Miller Lighting Company. If it was ever signed, the branding was probably removed when the sockets were changed. As you can see, the lamp works well. One socket is a bit loose, but both sockets work. Lamp weights over 14 lbs. Stands about 24" high and the shade is more than 12" in diameter. For sale is a large vintage curved slag glass lamp shade. This shade has an opening at the top of just under 6 1/2" An opening at the bottom of just under 17 1/2" and is about 12" tall. The company got its start in lighting manufacture by producing metal candleholders, and then moved into kerosene lamps, gas lighting, and electric lighting ... moreas times changed. The name of the company changed too, becoming Edward Miller& Co. for a time, then The Miller Co. A mark of Miller or E M& CO on the base indicates a Miller lamp. Miller produced more expensive leaded glass lamps. But seized the opportunity to sell lighting for the middle classes as more and more homes were wired for electricity. The company sold lamps in bulk to utility companies in large cities who retailed them to their customers. A 1920 Philadelphia Electric Co. catalog shows lamps with prices from $12.50 to $60, depending on size. All the lamps are described as being“cast metal openwork” over“light amber art glass” and could be ordered in a variety of metal finishes including French brown, Grecian antique, Etruscan bronze and Florentine relief. While lamps were made with glass in colors other than amber. Or caramel as it is often called now, amber predominates. According to a lighting catalog from the period, Amber is the color used in all[our] lamps. Amber has, by scientific tests been proven to be easiest on the eyes, and most restful when reading. THE MILLER COMPANY EARLY 1900s BRASS DOUBLE BULB LAMP WITH ORIGINAL SHADE FRAME! Beautifully articulated small brass lamp with original shade frame that has been recovered in silk and lace. Brass finial seems to be original and if so is worth something on its own as a replacement part. Appears to be Empire style with two pull-chain bulbs that have candle cover bases. Also original. Lamp is fairly weighty for its size, nice sturdy piece. The Miller Lamp Company is comparable to Bradley, Hubbard, and Handel, started in the late ... more1800s to produce quality and innovative stylish lamps until the early 1900s. Bottom of base is marked Miller 1134, shade frame also is imprinted with the Miller name. Lamp was found at a local flea market 15 years ago covered in lavender paint and the fabric on the shade was torn beyond repair. At that time we gently flaked off most of the paint and repaired the shade with lace on the outside and silk inside, all hand sewn but not like the original and not professionally done, but looks acceptable. Some bits of the paint remain here and there mainly where it is not particularly visible, easy to remove with the help of paint remover but remains to be done, could not be scraped for fear of scratching the brass surface, which has been carefully preserved. The bulbs in place are the smallest wattage we could find to help keep the silk shade from deteriorating, but larger new energy saving bulbs can probably provide more light without heat today. Candle type bases for the bulbs are slightly worn and chipped. One flaw has come to our attention at the point of listing, which is a vertical split in the metal just above the base and it can be seen in a couple of the pictures. The lamp is

For sale is this great old bent panel slag glass lamp. 8 green. Brown and cream panels- all in great condition. Shade is a floral, vine pattern and measures 18" w x 8" h. A nice wide base with harp type pattern in gold color, nice patina. Should be re-wired. Two sockets are old with nice brass chains& umbrella pulls. Works smooth and crisp. Antique Art Deco Miller Lamp Co. Reverse Painted Lamp Base & Satin Shade #232
This auction features an antique bronzed Miller Lamp and shade. This lamp has been in one families possession since it was acquired new back in the late 1920’s(Or maybe the early 1930’s. The owner cannot remember exactly) The bronzed base stands 20 ½ inches tall and has a nice authentic patina. The base features alternating panels with tulips and a stylized art deco design. The base is signed on the bottom as pictured and retains all of the original bronzed finish. The cord is a replacement cloth cord. The shade which is original to this lamp is a satin glass shade with an attractive reverse painted scene which completely surrounds the shade. The shade measures 15 inches in diameter. Stands 8 inches tall, and has a 3 ¼ inch fitter. There are a few condition issues needing mentioned. The first and in my opinion the worst of the issues ... moreis a loss of original finish. There are 4 areas where this has happened, and I have pointed all four for one to evaluate. Here is the story I was told on this issue, and I tend to believe it. The original owner liked the way that the canopy of the lamp had areas where the red-toned sky was lighter is depth. Making it look like a clouds. She liked this so much, she decided to scratch off areas on the shade to make it resemble clouds as well. I am certain this can be restored, and it does look like clouds, but I think if I were to keep this, I would have it restored. The second condition issue is two small chips on the edge of the shade. These are small. We have shown them in comparison with a pencil point for one to evaluate. These are on the flat ground surface and does not affect the profile but mentioned for accuracy. There is the typical roughness around the fitter, but these are covered when the original cap and finial are placed on the shade. All in all. A nice survivor.

For sale is a beautiful antique lamp that looks very Art Nouveau. The slag glass panels are all in good condition. No chips or cracks. The metal is also in good very good condition other than a couple of places that, upon closer examination, look like they were soldered which I have tried to show in the photos. Antique Boudoir Table Lamp Art Nouveau Bradley Hubbard Miller Handel Era Slag
Up for auction is this nice little boudoir lamp with cloth lined shade. This lamp would have never had a slag glass shade. It was made to have a cloth lined shade. It has been nicely restored, it has nice newer gold tone paint. The cloth shade liner was also professionally redone with a patterned cloth and the lamp is rewired with a newer safe cord. The condition is pretty good for its age there is one small cosmetic crack in the shade shown in picture number 5. I believe the crack is from when the lamp was made. There is also some wear here and there on the paint. It measures 14 inches tall, shade is 5.5 inches in diameter. Overall this is a really nice little lamp and would look great in any room of your house.

There are some wear marks in the painted surfaces and imbedded dirt and dust throughout. Untouched and fresh to the market. Marked on the base M.L.CO. 232. The base is bronzed and painted metal with two Ostrander lamp sockets and pull chains. The octagon shade is painted metal and pewter construction. Antique Signed Miller Art Deco Green and Cream Slag Glass Table Lamp MLCO 235
Warm. Bright signed Miller 1920's-30's six-panel lamp of green& honey-colored stained glass and dark, elaborately cast metal. A good size, it stands 22in tall; the shade measures 15in and the base has a 8in diameter. Adds a comforting glow to any room it graces- it is very heavy and good condition! The base shows it's age and the glass has one cracked panel and two that have chips in the corners. They really don't show much from the outside. I can provide replacement glass if wanted, however I decided to leave this as found since it appears to be all original. Cord needs to be replaced also. Includes original finial and keyed socket. It is missing several of the small pieces of metal decoration along the bottom edge. Not really noticeable, size of BB. Please see pics. Please ask questions before bidding. Bradley Hubbard, Handel, Miller style ART NOUVEAU SLAG GLASS STUDENT LAMP
WELCOME This auction is for an extremely fine. O riginal. Vintage and antique student desk or table lamp. This is an early 20 th Century student desk/table lamp made in the art nouveau style. Made of h eavy cast metal in the Art Nouveau style. This lamp comes with the original and intact filigreed artistic designed slag glass shade which swivels for optimum lighting. The shade is a heavily decorated and the metal filigree is in perfect condition with no cracks and absolutely no missing pieces. The curved glass panels are an opaque striated color and are in perfect condition with no chips. Breaks or cracks. The glass is the old bumpy variety on one side and smooth on the other. The original light socket and cord have been replaced. At some point in time. It still has the original acorn pull used turn the lamp on and off. The arm supporting ... morethe shade appears to be made of bronze or brass and has some roughness to the touch as a result of oxidation. This lamp measures 13-1/2" tall. 11" wide, and 6" deep. The shade itself is 8-5/16" long by 6"wide and 4-1/4" tall. It is in very good condition for an antique piece with some scratches and mild oxidation to the finish of the metal. There is evidence of glue on the sides of the shade where the side pieces were probably glued to the top metal piece(please refer to the photos) It is unsigned but is of the typical casting quality and style of Bradley and Hubbard. Handel, Miller and Wilkinson type student lamp pieces. The stem and base are a fine and detailed casting with good molding and showing no wear to the details. It is made of a heavy cast material and has wonderful patina. The base of the lamp measures 5-7/16" by 4-7/8" Please review all the pictures for details.
