Scarce Large Antique American Pewter Plate, William Danforth - Middletown, CT., c. 1792 - 1820. This is a large pewter plate by one of the finest families ... morethat manufactured American pewter. This pewter plate has a single reeded rim and shows good manufacture. The plate has a part of two impressed eagle marks. Both marks are worn and hard to read, but one can clearly recognize the "W", above the stars and eagle. There is also a "D" that can still be read below the eagle mark to the left. This would mean there is the name "WILLIAM", above the eagle and "DANFORTH", below the eagle. The second mark appearsto have a part of the name "DANFORTH" below the eagle. These marks are listed in "A Guide To American Pewter" by Carl Jacobs, mark number 122, page 81-82; where an 8" plate with this mark was valued at $65 back in 1957.

Sauce Boat - Unknown Maker's Mark - No Monograms
Sauce Boat Unknown Maker's Mark No monograms Offered at auction is a sauce boat by an unknown maker. This sauce boat is in very good condition. Showing few of the usual signs of use or storage that is commonly associated with estate silver. Here are some more particulars: 8 1/4 inches long 2 5/8 inches in height due to the nature of silver-plate. I don't weigh it in grams, like sterling. Instead, I weigh it in"hamburger" ounces. With that in mind, it weighs out at 9.3 oz. Please view the pictures carefully. I generally take my photographs outside in sunlight to accurately depict the colors and conditions of the items I am offering. If you see any discolorations or other anomalies that would indicate damage. It is either the sun, the clouds, the trees, or me. I have a large variety and inventory of assorted sterling flatware ... moreand other items in our store. As well as several other popular and obscure patterns. Whether you are shopping for a gift(even for yourself, I say it's okay to indulge) or to complete or buff your current collection, we have many pieces of high demand and interest, or even weird and rare. Do not forget! Purchasing sterling. Whether simple hollow pieces, or intricate& detailed patterns, is an investment! With the current silver market having more than doubled in price in the last two years alone. It is comforting to know that silver is a smart choice to comfortably invest in this uncertain financial climate. I try to fully and faithfully disclose any irregularities I find but I am far from perfect and some things may escape my detection. Also. When damage(no matter how minute) I try to make sure that it is clearly depicted in the photos. Also. Per new EBay rules, the shipping insurance is included in the shipping costs. Shipping methods are per our discretion. If an item can safely be shipped in a padded envelope. We will. However, purchases of more than one item will usually require a box. As always. Shipping amounts are estimates only and I always refund any overages

Pair of beautiful antique hair ornaments with fine detail of what look like lotus blossoms and frog on water lily They are Kanazshi style hair ornaments. I believe from China since the one with the frog on it has a maker's mark of a square reserve- 4 dots within a square. The metal appears to be brass and there are small opal like stones in the one without the frog. The one with the frog has some damage on the back side of it with an old repair- see photos. Each ornament approx 5" long, and"heads" of ornaments approx 1 1/4" wide. Wonderful pieces of art!

Old Antique Mulberry Violet Transferware, "Milanese Scenery", Maker Mark Unk.
Here's a nice old mid 1800's plate we received recently. This one is a mulberry color transferware plate with markings"Milanese Scenery" The front is very nice with fine crazing as one would expect but n discoloration or chipping. There is a maker mark stamp engraved under the glaze on the back that has 5 or 6 letters but we can't determine what it says. The back also has a fine crack from the outer edge that we show in a picture. It does not extend into the front much beyond the lip and seems to have been present for a long time. We show this in the pictures. The plate has slight signs of use and age but appearance overall from a decorative perspective is very nice. It is about 10.75 inches in dimension. That's about it. The pictures should be helpful to those having interest. We'll start this antique or early ... moremulberry plate low so enjoy the auction. When packed this will weigh about 2.25 lb so we'll use USPS Parcel Select service as the lowest cost postal alternative to the buyer. We have no packing or handling charge. Extra cost USPS postal services like Postal Insurance or Upgraded postal services are easily available should the winning bidder wish to make arrangements. As mentioned above. International Bidders should be aware that this item is not listed for sale outside the United States and we ask that International Bidder do not bid on this item. Please let us know if there are any questions. We will cooperate with winners of more than one auction to combine items whenever practical. Thank you for your interest and Good Luck!

VINTAGE R T FRAZIER PUEBLO COLO SADDLE ANTIQUE 1890'S FAMOUS MAKER MARK
This is a very nice early 1890's saddle by famous early saddle maker R.T. Frazier out of Pueblo. Colo. whose saddles were known for large skirts, high straight cantles and of course for the fine quality of workmanship that even in his day brought top of line prices that often only those of means could afford. This saddle is a smooth oil tanned leather that oil conditioning over the years has darkened the brown to a very dark color. Saddle has a 14.5" seat; 6" gullet; swell fork that is about 14.5" wide and a 5" cantle. It has a sound rawhide covered wood tree. The horn is nickel and is solid; the skirt is 28" long. Saddle has rawhide saddle strings that are all in good condition and has double rigging with leather cover Dee rings. There are front and rear strap holders on left side. Wood stirrups are ox bow with ... morea 3" ncek and 1 3/4" wide tread. There is a repair to the right front skirt-see pic#11. It appears as if the left strap holder and front cinch strap might have been replaced at some time and there are two small leather plug repairs on right and left seat where apparently something was once attached and removed-see pic#10. The sheepskin needs to be replaced as it is coming off. This saddle is very well marked with the maker's mark and is still well defined. It is marked"R.T. FRAZIER PUEBLO COLO. on front of seat; right and left fenders and strap holder. It is also marked on front of cantle"R. T. FRAZIER MAKER RG'D. TRADE MARK" with"PUEBLO" in center-see pic#9. The initials of'AOR' are on back of cantle. This R.T.Fazier antique saddle is all in all a very nice saddle and the few issues are what is to be expected for it's age and use. I try to thoroughly describe and list everything but please use the zoom on the pictures and if you have any questions please email using the'ask a question' on this page.

This is a very unusual sweet iron bit featuring engraved iron cheeks and a ported square copper swivel mouthpiece. The bit has a maker's mark inside the left cheek that says"50th" with a banner underneath as shown in the photos. I have tried to research the mark and have been unable to determine it's origin. But it leads me to believe this bit was made by a bitmaker to mark their 50th anniversary in business. The bit has some rust. But is still a great using bit with a super flexible mouthpiece featuring an internal bushing which permits either half of the bit to rotate independently. The sweet iron and copper mouthpiece measures 5 inches across and is 3/8 inch in diameter. Even though there is some rust, this ... morebit is great for either training/schooling, or show with a design that eliminates pinched tongues and cheeks. This design allows each side of the horse to be worked separately through lifting the shoulder and bending exercises. The port measures1-1/2 inches high by 1-1/2 inches wide with a 8-1/2 inch long shank. The measurement from the top of the ring where the headstall is attached to the center of the mouthpiece is 3 inches. The bit weighs 1 pound 2 ounces. Although this bit has seen some definite use(the shanks are dull and rusted, and the copper roller has"bite" marks as shown in the photos) it is still in usable shape and should be a great addition to your bit collection.
