There is no plug on the end of the cord. It needs a new cord. The lamp stands 6 inches(15 cm) high and the wooden base is 3-1/8 inches(7.8 cm) across the widest part of the bottom. It is possible that the shade is older than the base. Although it has been this way ever since I acquired it more than 40 years ago. It would make a super night light or accent lamp if it had a new cord. I see no chips in the shell, and the wood base is dusty and dirty. This antique cast iron industrial lamp base is marked O.C. White Co. Worchester Mass and also marked with a patent date of August 1 1911. The wiring appears to good but has not been tested. The base is in excellent condition. 24" inches long when extended X 10 1/2" tall. Mount plate is 3 7/8" long x 2 1/2" wide x 3 7/8" without the first arm and 5 7/8" with the first arm. When folded the base is 10" long x 10 1/2" tall. It has been in storage for many. Many years and not been touched nor cleaned. A 1 3/4" tall little lamp base that was used a century ago as a night light. It is an antique oil lamp. The 1800's version of our little plug in night lights. This is the base ONLY, it has no burner or other parts, just the glass base itself, and it is very old, an early hand B lown I nto M old lamp( BIM) Dating well over 100 years old. Glass lamp is embossed: L. H. OLMSTED/ NEW YORK- LITTLE HARRY'S/ NIGHT LAMP" Base too is embossed. It is somewhat weak and smudged but from what it looks like and with what research we did, it looks like it is a" MAR 20'77" date. Condition: Lamp is in nice clean condition. But it has a broad flat chip off of 1/3 of the base though it still stands upright just fine. Age: An early hand-blown lamp(Blown-In-Mold = BIM) Ca. late 1800's. This Style is called a"Large Stick" Bronze Lamp Base and it is done in Tiffany's Studios most sought after Naturally aged Acid Etched Dore' Gold) Patina. This base has a telescoping riser to raise and lower a Fabric or Linenfold shade. I am also offering a Replica riser if you want to use it for a Tiffany Leaded Glass Shade. This Bronze Lamp Base is very large as it stands 29" tall to the top of the finial when riser is full depressed and 31 1/2" when fully extended. The foot has a diameter of 11 1/2" This Bronze Table lamp displays wonderful and rich dark acid etched Patina. This is one of the most desirable finishes in the Tiffany Patina's. It has nice small snow flakes etched into the metal. The base displays a very nice arts and ... morecrafts style of simplicity. It has a slender column with an irregular bottom foot. It is a 2 part casting that sits on 4 feet molded into the bottom platform. The base has 4 lighting sockets that have pull chains. The interiors appear to be all original with the sockets having 2 satellite round pulls and the other 2 having round pulls. It my belief the round pulls were changed at a later date but they are from the same period. Tiffany bought these interior parts and did not make them. Each socket is signed with"Bryant 250 V Pat'd Nov 26 1907 Made in the USA" The finial and riser are original to the base as the riser has the same acid etched patina as the rest of the base has. This Large Stick Base is considered to be in excellent condition. There are no cracks. Nicks or dings to the base or shade. There is a few light round spots in the base and these are pictured. This large milk glass hobnail lamp shade fits a large standing or hanging lamp. It is in very good condition- no cracks. Crazing or stains. Antique Lamp from Gas Light Era Exceptional Shade and Patriot Base
This is a wonderful old antique lamp from the gas light era. It has adorned the foot of the stairs as a newel post lamp in a grand old Victorian mansion in Philadelphia for well over a hundred years. Iet is easily suitable as a table lamp in the parlor. Etc. The lamp is in good condidtion with no breakage in the glass or any damage elsewhere on the lamp. The figure looks to be a Patriot complete with musket and a hair style reminiscent of the late 18th century. Just what you would expect in a Philadelphia setting. Iron, and marble electric table lamp. it is very ornate with a wonderful Victorian style. the base is very heavy and made from a double tiered black marble. Darling blue slag stained glass table lamp. Top shade lead panels are individual basket of flowers per panel- 6 panels; base has matching basketful of flowers- 4 panels. All slag glass panels are intact. Stands 12.5 inches to top of cap. 14.5 inches including finial. Base is 4 inches wide, and shade is 8 inches across. Great for"mood" lighting- both top and base light up! We'll include light bulbs. Antique 4 Light Art Deco ABCO Candelabra Floor Lamp w/ Onyx Base & Tray Table
This is a nice unique vintage floor lamp with tray attached for use as an end table. Four working sockets on top, and an excellent, smooth, shiny, undamaged onyx piece on the base. The three side lights can be lit one, two, or all three at a time by the switch in the middle, and the top socket has it's own switch. I don't have a shade for it, but there is a brass finial on top to attach a shade. The cord looks relatively old(not original) but in good condition. The bottom is marked ABCO and numbered 460. The metal is finished in a bronzy gold color and the tray has a copper finish. Most metal parts have a darkened patina from age, typical wear(light scuffs, scratches, finish loss) and greenish spots of oxidation, but it is in good condition overall. The lamp measures 59" H x 9" W at the sockets, 12 W at the base, and the ... moretable measures about 13 3/4" in diameter. Fabulous. Unique piece of Vintage American Lighting. Original lamp base from the 1920's/30's GREAT GIFT IDEA! This floor lamp should be seen to get the full impact of the massive and unusual base. This is not the ordinary stick type floor lamp that you may have encountered in antique shops or s een in lighting collections from the early 1900's. Although the shade is not original to the base. The lines of it are a lovely compliment to the lines at the base of the lamp. The shade has a crown piece which may be used. But I prefer the look without it. A couple of minor flaws with the shade are noted. These are in the bottom row of the stained glass. One piece is cracked. But secure in its location. Antique Empire Style 1930's Lamp Marble base Terracotta 6 light 27"T no Shade
Up for consideration is a vintage Louis XVI Ram heads lamp with hoofs and marble base. The lamp measures 27 inches. No finial. The lamp has 6 larger sockets.and an on off switch at the base. The very bottom is made of green marble the center of the lamp is terracotta and the upper assembly is a mixture of metals. There probably was a extension from the center not upwards which held a shade. This really is a Neoclassical type lamp. It is very heavy and rather large. It probably had a Mica shade. Here is an interesting find! I do not how old this little duckling is. But it is awesome. The pictures best describe the item. The lamp does work and it is about 5" wide and 5" tall. This little duck could use a little cleaning and I best leave that up to the new owner. There is a little paint loss as you can see in the pictures. I would estimate this to be from the 50's to possibly early 60's. This would be a great nightlight for a child, boy or girl. If you know more about this item I would like to hear about it. I do have a pair as you can see in the pictures. both are in excellent condition, although each is missing at least one tear drop prisms. each measures approx 13 5/8" tall at their tallest point. at the top the outside is 6" round- that is to the outside- the inside where the font would sit is approx 4 3/4" round. the base is 6 3/4" round. each of the tear drop prisms is slightly over 6" long- not counting the wire that holds them on there are hoels for 8 tear drop prisms on each. one has 7 on it, the other one has 6, so you will have to find matching ones. both are in serious need of cleaning. tear drop prisms will be taken off to ship and wrapped seperately. i will ship priority mail only with insurance. the ... moreone picture shows you what it would look like with an oil lamp in it- although it is not a proper fit and is just a plain looking one- the oil lamp is not included in this auction. absolutely stunning with no damage other than the missing prisms. each one weighs 4 pounds. will be wrapped heavily with bubble wrap. ANTIQUE PAIRPOINT LAMP BASE - HUBBELL SOCKETS - 2 LIGHT CLUSTER - POLISHED BRASS
Up for auction is a beautiful antique signed Pairpoint two(2) cluster lamp base. This base has two original Harvey Hubbell sockets with mica and porcelain interiors and the familiar acorn pulls. The base is a polished brass and I believe it may also be lacquered. I cannot find this base in either the Malakoff book or the St. Aubin book. It is guaranteed to be Pairpoint however as it is properly signed with the trademark diamond impressed on the underside of the base. It has a beautiful floral decoration around the base with figural lion heads at the bottom. This base stands about 17.5" tall and is about 7.5" wide at the base. It has been rewired with gold vinyl lamp cord. This is a larger base and most likely was intended for one of the larger"puffy" shades Pairpoint made. I do have a 14" spider up for auction separately. ... moreIt will fit over the top of the base but it does not however fit this lamp properly as the spider will not clear the arms and sockets. It will only fit if upside down. Which is not correct. If you wish to purchase that spider I will combine shipping however. I purchased this piece just as you see it. I believe it's all original. I do not see evidence this particular base was silver plated and it's likely it was always polished brass. I believe that this pattern is a rarer one as it's not found in the main reference books or online auctions. It is in wonderful condition and shows no sign of damage or repair. This base is now likely over 100 years old and displays beautifully! I've tried to describe everything to the best of my ability but p lease look at all the photos as they are the best description.
