They've been in air conditioned storage since that time. These were commonly used by the medical profession. They are rare. That's for sure. The finish of the paint is still in remarkable condition, though they still need a thorough cleaning. Many of the pictures show the shiny surface of the paint, which was manufactured by DuPont. The metal surface was prepared and sprayed with a rust proofer by the Parker Rust Proof Co, with their product called Bonderite. From the"How to care for SIMMONS FURNITURE guide" SIMMONS FURNITURE protected and enhanced with Du Pont satin-finished HI-BAKE DULUX. SIMMONS Steel furniture is specially finished with Hi-Bake DULUX for outstanding beauty and durability. DULUX is an exceptionally hard finish with excellent moisture resistance that protects against rust or corrosion. With proper care. SIMMONS furniture remains beautifully new for years. Overall condition is good. The drawers are in good condition. With the top drawers showing a little rust on the inside. The second drawer down has only a small amount of rust showing, and the bottom drawer shows no rust. The drawer guides could use some graphite to restore the smooth fluid movement of opening and closing. Each piece has it's own forgivings. I tried my best to display in detail the extent of the abrasions. Dents and scratches. Examine the pictures carefully. If you need larger pics, or perhaps a different view, contact me and I'll send you the requested pics asap. The footstool's fabric is intact- no rips. Tears, holes or cracks and the material is soft and pliable. Up for bids is a fantastic old lamp from a Cape cod estate. It is in excellent original condition with only light wear. It stands about 16" tall to the top of the arm. The shade is about 7 1/2" in diameter. And the base is about 6 1/2" in diameter. The cord is in good shape and free from cuts or splices. The plug is the original bakelite type. The chrome has no rust and very nice luster. A classic lamp. Thanks for looking.

1930S-1940S ANTIQUE INDUSTRIAL STEAMPUNK FACTORY-OFFICE DESK LAMP WITH DOUBLE-ARMS& NOTE-PAD PLATFORM& ANTIQUE GLASS ART DECO DESIGNED SHADES. This lamp is circa 1930s1940s and has a thick square plug-see pic provided. the double-arm frame is nice with Industrial Machine-age Steampunk sockets marked"Leviton" and sockets holders with circles in them-the socket metal holders have the three original screws in each which are used to hold the shades in place(see close-up pics provided) This is a sort of factory office desk lamp as it has a platform for notepad. Pen, and paper-etc. to be placed on(see pics) with original green felt on it-the felt could be replaced by buyer to freshen up the platform/lamp with a nice navy blue felt pad-it would look lovely-I have left it as it is in original undisturbed condition for the integrity ... moreof the piece so you see that the felt is worn and aged and dusty but is very easy to place a new piece of felt of your choosing(see pics of this feature) The switch to the lamp is located on the front of the platform/base-it is slightly askew and turns on and off well, I have not tried to straighten it. The double-curved-arms and the sockets/holders have some tarnishing/wear/and oxidation to the surfaces and to the finish-the socket holders have some rusting-please see pics-some parts are metal and some parts may be brass-the rod and/or arms may be brass or metal I am unsure-please view pics. Lamp works well and takes standard bulbs or candelabra bulbs like the ones which I used in the lamp in pics-see pics. The 2 glass shades have lovely art deco designs(see pics) Each one measures approx. 4.5" tall x 4" wide-the glass shades have no cracks or stains but have some chips on the top rims(please see pic provided and realize these chips) which are the rims that fits under the metal holders-the chips are not seen as the rims fit into and under the metal holders-please view pics to understand description. Curved arm with a hanging glass frosted lamp contained within 3 decorative vertical structures. This light has an old street lamp style about it and its flaky ages old layers of paint have been steel brushed to reveal white on old green paint. The glass shade, screws into place and is completely intact and clean. Viewed from the rear, this item was once wired and as you can see the wiring is very old. Vintage mid century art deco industrial metal bakelite bankers desk light lamp
For sale is a metal and bakelite industrial Atlas art deco bankers desk lamp that was made sometime during the mid century or a little earlier. It is in excellent condition and measures about 11 inches high. 13 inches wide, and about 7 inches along the side. The whole light is a very dark brown(almost appearing black) color with the shade and neck of light being metal and the base being bakelite. As o can see from the pictures the shade and neck are in great shape without any dents that I could find and only very minor scratches and discolorations expected of something of this vintage. The bakelite base is free of any chips or cracks and has a place for resting pens and pencils and sections for putting clips and other office things. This is most likely a unique piece. This lamp is a marriage of a cast iron gooseneck base and neck and what appears to be an Emeralite fixture and unmarked Emeralite shade on the end. The fixture has an"E" on the on/ off knob and is an Eagle fixture that has"UNO" and Pat Dec 24. 12 on it. The shade is very high quality and has ground edges and is quite heavy and has a great glow when the lamp is on. This lamp appears to have been done by someone who was very good at what they do as everything is tight and solid. Vintage mid century art deco industrial metal brown bankers desk light lamp A+++
For sale is a metal brown industrial art deco bankers desk lamp that was made sometime during the mid century or a little earlier. It is in excellent condition and measures about 13 inches high(but is bendable- could be higher or lower, lamp shade is 18 inches wide. And base is 7 inches X 5-1/2 inches. The whole light is a chocolate brown color- all metal. As one can see from the pictures the shade and neck are in great shape without any dents that I could find and only very minor scratches and discolorations expected of something of this vintage. The lamp has two bulbs and works great! The shade swivels up and down. This is an excellent vintage bankers lamp. The shade is an off white/ beige color made of a thick paper with white and black splatter design and black trim. have some patina and spotting from age and has a tiny little dent in the bottom of the metal where the cord comes out in the back. Vintage Industrial / Steampunk Clamp Eyeball light/lamp art deco spotlight
Vintage fisheye/eyeball spotlight. Has a clamp for easy mounting. This was found at an estate sale. I just put a bulb in it(not included) to check if it worked. It lit up just fine. It is metal, not plastic or bakelite.The lamp is less than 8 inches long and approx. 7 inches tall from bottom of clamp to top of light. The lamp swivels and pivots on the clamp. Has some scratches and light surface rust from age and previous use. The plug appears to have been replaced at some point. Would make a very nice addition to any collection or decor. I do not see a makers mark on the light.
