Nice Antique 1926 Colorful Polychrome Wooden Art Deco Bird Bridge Arm Floor Lamp
This is a fantastic antique bridge arm floor lamp with art deco style bird(eagle? on the arm. The post is turned contoured wood with an excellent polychrome finish in gold. Green, red, black, and brown. There is very little paint missing and the finish is original. There are a few scuffs in the gold gilding on the arm and base, but the condition overall is very good. The wood is not cracked or split anywhere, strands up straight, and screws tightly into the base. There are a few spots of light rust on the base, especially on the bottom surface. The bottom of the base is marked with a patent date of 1926 and numbered E 38. The socket has a pull chain and uses a standard size bulb. The angle of the socket is adjustable and can be held in the desired position using a wing nut. But the wing nut is missing so one will need to be added to hold ... morethe socket in place. The socket works and the wiring is in good ORIGINAL condition(it is cloth covered and probably not safe to use today) The shade is fabric. Has several tears and some staining and feels brittle, but has a nice shabby vintage look. I will ship the shade separately from the lamp(price is included in the shipping) but if you don't want the shade, I will reduce the shipping by $10 on the invoice. Please send me an email before paying if you do not wish for me to ship the shade and check your inbox for the revised invoice. I do have the glass panels/panes for these opens but removed them to take the pixz. It appears to be in an all original condition with a nice patina and an old alligatored varnish. Antique 65" WOODEN FLOOR LAMP Hand-Painted JAPANESE GEISHA Scene +PAISLEY Shade
This is really an AMAZING working vintage lamp! The main painting on this lamp. At about belly-height, is of a Geisha. Seems to be 3-color, possibly 4. She is about 9" tall, 3" wide. There is also a 2-color design opposite her, but I don't know what it is- possibly marine life or aquatic fowl. At the bottom are 2 leafy designs with what might be bird footprints or possibly a Japanese character. And then there are some markings on the top portion of the lamp. Which might be some kind of maker's mark, or a random design- they look too similar and well placed to be stray marks. The paint at the base does look more likely to be stray paint or even a couple of moderate spills of paint, so you might choose to cover over that, but it is the same paint used in the art, and not markings made by a secondary owner. Very nice real and ... morethick wood! Several spots of nice craftsmanship on the wood. Includes the very nice lamp shade which has a 3-color design which is like an Asian-style Paisley on red cloth on paper. Has a metal finial. Lamp stands about 65" tall and weighs about 8 lbs. Shade is just over 12" tall. 9" diameter at top, 15" at base. Lamp is about 2.5" in diameter at widest point; base is about 12" diameter. Overall in very good condition. The finish is still nice. The structural integrity is perfect, the lamp works and you can see the intricate designs. However, there are little dings, dents, scrapes, and wear up and down, as you might expect. You know, probably from backing up chairs or walking into it, opening drawers into it, or kids, pets, who knows? Everyday kind of stuff. Not much of it affects the artwork, but then again, the artwork is probably only on 25% of the lamp, so I guess it equates out. It is also a little dirty- I will clean it as best I can before shipping but there will probably be some detailing that would need to be done to get it to the top level it could be. Vintage Antique Wooden Amber Lantern Style Table Lamp
This lamp has a nicely detailed wood column supporting an amber glass lantern with a wooden frame. The lamps have brass accents on the top and the bottom. The lamps have 3 settings: top bulb on. Bottom bulb on, and both on. The one glass panel does slide out to access the inside bulb shown in puctures. The Lamp measures 22" to the top of the wood and 32" to the top of the whole lamp where shade attaches. The wood part does show some signs of wear, a few nicks. Could cover up with some old english. All glass is still in good shape. Very nice vintage antique piece!

Now this is one real showpiece of a lamp! I call this antique style meets industrial! A really nice lamp made from an actual wooden shoe form and the shade is made from recycled metal.
