This nice period lamp dates ca. 1900-1915 and manufactured in an era when they could be“wired” for either gas or electricity. It measures 24” tall(16” to the top of the socket) and sports an original 8” x 35” square shade having solid brass riveted frame with steel under structure. The textured opalescent slag glass is all original with no cracks. But a tiny corner loss as photographed. The base is brass plated cast iron with minor rust and it is very dirty and attic fresh. The owner thought it should be re-wired for sale, so that has been done. Antique Craftsman Mission Style Cast Iron Lamp w/ Fat Boy Paddle Switch I came across this forgotten treasure and couldn’t pass it up. While there are no actual markings other than the“fat boy” paddle switch and the socket. Both labeled“Union” The design of the lamp is characteristic of the Mission style and the American Craftsman style, made famous by Gustav Stickley around the turn of the 20 th century. I cannot verify its authenticity as such. But it definitely has the trademark appearance of these two parallel styles. Please note there are several cosmetic flaws characteristic of its age(see pictures for close-up details) paint has some chipping and various scratches; socket is slightly askew; and lamp has apparently been rewired at some point in time. The wicker on the base of the lamp is in excellent vintage condition. And measures 13" tall x 5 1/2" wide. The 6" tall x 8 1/4" wide lamp shade has some broken wicker strands and a loose clamp, but still is beautiful. Details are shown in the photos. The original silk is very worn with age and will need replacing. The two lovely gold tassels hanging from the pull chain are also in great vintage condition. The wiring is the old cloth type with an old plug, and probably should be replaced also. Due to the age, I have not tested this piece. It has a single lamp socket. Antique Arts & Crafts Riviere Copper Overlay Slag Lamp Tiffany Revere Mission
Offered is a beautiful early 20th century Riviere copper overlay slag glass table lamp. This comes from a recent Memphis. TN estate where it was found stored in the attic for the past few decades. The copper overlay retains the original finish with a superb patina and surface. I have not cleaned the lamp or attempted any restoration. There are a number of old repairs and losses. The original finial and top shade cover are missing. Some of the overlay has come loose from the slag glass as is common with these lamps. The lamp retains all the original purple slag and looks wonderful when illuminated. I think it is rather rare to find one in purple as they are usually in green glass. Although the shade is missing the original finial it is still usable as is. It appears that the lamp was rewired sometime in the 50's. I assume that the base ... moreilluminates but I have not tried to get inside. If there are bulbs in the base I am certain they are burned out by now. I placed bulbs in the two main sockets for photographing. Overall the lamp is in good antique condition and would be an outstanding piece with a bit of restoration. Vtg Antique Mission Style Quarter Sawn Oak Lamp Stickley Era Slag Glass Light
For your consideration is a Mission style table lamp. The quarter sawn oak base is 6 3/4" square and the lamp stands 19 1/2" tall. The 14" square slag glass shade has all its original glass panels. Though two of the panels do have cracks. Both sides are shown in the last two photos, glass panels are tight with no missing pieces. The vintage brass pull chain switch socket accepts a standard base bulb(bulb not included) The lamp has been rewired with an 18 gauge cloth covered wire and a vintage style two prong plug. Antique Mission Arts/Crafts Lamp with Slag Glass Shade Around 1920's
This is an old one but it has problems so read the description. All but one of the large slag glass panels on the shade has a crack. 2 of the panels have several cracks. The lower green panels and the upper small white panels are good. All panels are tight and the frame is tight with no cracks. The base looks good with no chips.Cracks or dents but there is a post on the inside bottom which I think should have held in some sort of counterweight. Base is 7 1/2" square so it is actually quite stable without the weight. Base looks to be brass that has been dusted with greenish paint way back when. Finish is pretty even over the entire lamp. Both pull chain sockets work. Wiring is the old cloth covered and should be replaced. Base stands 22 1/4" tall to where the shade sets-about 24" to the top of the finial. Antique Handel Era Mission Arts Crafts 8 Side Slag Glass Gothic Superb Desk Lamp
Here's an extremely ornate and beautiful circa early 1920s octagonal gothic style desk lamp. There are 8 wonderful early slag pieces on the top and bottom of the lamp. Encapsulating the light. This is absolutely stunning and is all original as I purchased the lamp 30+ years ago. One of the nicest and most unusual lamps ive ever seen. The original lamp hardware was made by Weber Patents 250 w universal. The lamp is unmarked or perhaps I'm completely missing the makes mark. Heavy lamp weighing 13.4 lbs. The fire slag has beautiful reds, oranges and amber color and is absolutely stunning in the natural light. The solid base is wondrous and has some extremely ornate detail, covered in fleur de lis style designs. Lamp measures roughly 25" tall from bottom of base to top of ornate finial. The shade itself measures roughly 12.5" ... morewide by roughly 12" high and the base of lamp is roughly 6.75" wide. Here we have a fantastic and very hard to find and fresh to the market mission oak slag light fixture. The fixture is huge at 25"square and hangs down 32" The finish is a excellent dark original color. The fixture is in very good original condition. There is a small and tight repair in the glass in the corner of one slag panel which I have a photo of. All the sockets look to be original but the insides look to have been replaced. The fixture works great. It has the original oak link chain with original ceiling cap. The ceiling cap was in two pieces when I found it so I reglued it and it is solid as a rock. Up for bid a beautiful Antique Chandelier/Fixture Arts& Crafts/Mission Style it is 23in D and 19.5 to the upper part of the petals the rim on top is 6.5in it comes with a plate and chain. The fixture has very rich colors like green. Aqua, yellow, dark blue and it has embedded embossed look like parts of glass or it could be rocks very rare and it is very heavy works great and it does have very fine cracks in two or three panels some can't be seen from outside only inside or could be scratches it's very heavy if I find any marks I will let you know. Up For Sale is 2 16" Table Lamps. The base Measures 5-1/2" They are Cast with gold gilt. The shades pieces are Mica. On the bottom of both lamps they are" M L 1693" These were purchased form a upscale Estate here in NY. They do have age wear& some nice patina with the green effect. On the upper part of the lamps, they are a crack identical on both. Not sure if this is from age or was were made this way. The one lamp looks to have had a new socket insert installed. But the original outer casing is original. The brass balls on the chain are marked Pat Pending. These are not perfect but truly beautiful pieces. This is a super period Arts& Crafts/ Mission desk lamp. It is all handmade by an individual( not a mass produced company production piece) It is completely composed of solid Oak. Including the curved lamp shade element! The post or arm, from the base, also has a hand painted" floral" design/motif, and then on either side of the post are two" stepped" wood openings for photos to be inserted. I do have the glass panels/panes for these opens but removed them to take the pixz. It appears to be in an all original condition with a nice patina and an old alligatored varnish. The lamp will need to rewired, as it has the original cloth covered wiring and the original plug. I did not plug it in to see if it works in it's present condition, but the rewire job would be a quick and easy fix. This auction is for a wonderful and older mission slag glass light/sconce that dates to the 1920's-1930's time period. This antique porch light is found in the style of the ARTS& CRAFTS/MISSION time period. It is made primarily of black cast iron with caramel slag glass panels. There are found separate slag glass panels. This will definitely need rewiring as shown. The back plate has four screws and is also made of a heavier cast iron. This light will definitely make a very strong statement on your porch or entryway. I love the way the light hangs freely on the cast iron hook and can sway. Up for auction here is an exceptional antique Bradley Hubbard lamp. It is done in a transitional style of Art Nouveau and Mission. Arts& Crafts eras, and dates to circa 1910. The tan painted cast iron metal base is a very rarely seen form on the market, with a 6 panel side squat bottom shape with Hector Guimard style biomorphic skeletal beetle-back whiplash shapes inspired by Grueby Pottery vase shapes. It is substantial in size and weight being approximately 11" at widest and 10" tall before neck shaft. The neck, or shaft, telescopes, meaning it can be raised and lowered. The maximum height is approximately 28" and the minimum height is 23" There are two original bead metal string-pull light bulb sockets. The 6-panel shade is made of clear bent thin ribbed holophane glass that is reverse painted with a colorful floral ... moregarland band stencil pattern. The glass panels are held in place by a fine bronze structure done in the Arts& Crafts style with round florette crested top and torch flame form finial topper. The shade measures 18" wide and approximately 6" deep. The lamp is stamped with triangle Bradley Hubbard mark(see photos) on base at top of shaft between light sockets This rare lamp is all original, works perfectly and is in excellent condition. Here is a nice green slag 8 panel shade in good condition. Signed Bradley& Hubbard on the top and four more places on the bottom. Every other panel holder on the bottom is stamped. Measures 15 and 1/2 inches point to point on the bottom. 6 and 1/2 tall by 5 and 1/4" point to point on the top. The metal has green patina in spots. Up for bids is a wonderful old lampshade from an estate. It measures about 11 1/4" tall. The top has an outside diameter of about 13" The bottom outside diameter is about 16" The panels are nice thick leather or cowhide. The shade has some age appropriate wear. There is also a tear of about 3/4' to one of the panels as pictures as shown. It really just looks like a scratch unless you touch it. It is 3 5/8" x 4" wide, in excellent condition. There are 6 carved/ raised panels, 3 black frames with a leaf diamond design above and below it, and 3 beautiful carved hanging fruit and leaf panels, handpainted in bright orange, and muted blue and green.
