Made of very thick glass. The beveled glass is designed in a stylized tulip pattern and reflects glints of rainbow colors at the edges in a most beautiful way! which is nearly impossible to photograph) It has a great"look" but does have some significant condition issues. The glass has one area where there is a cluster of multi-cracks. and there are several places where there are very scratched sections on the superficial surface of the glass(seems like someone rubbed back and forth with a knife blade at one time? ~perhaps trying to remove paint?a small area of push to the leading near the bottom(barely noticeable at all) the wooden frame is kinda funky in places. Has some old hanging loops embedded into the top for hanging by chains in a larger window. Antique Tiffany Stained Leaded Glass Lamp Base #460 Very Nice
This belonged to my Mother. As a child growing up in the 1950's I remember this having a large Tiffany style shade about 20"24" in diameter on it. After she passed away lamp shade got separated from base accidentally and got sold. It has a Bryant Electric Company single pull switch that operates each lamp separately and simultaneously, it works fine. Very heavy lamp weighing almost 5 pounds. Tiffany Era Antique Geometric Leaded Stained Glass Floor Lamp
Local Pick-Up only in Lakewood. Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio This is an Antique Stained Glass Floor Lamp. It measures about 53 1/2 inches tall. The original shade measures 7 7/8 inches tall and is 18 3/4 inches in diameter. The lamp is for sale local pick-up only and cash upon pick-up. The Shade: The shade consists of 7 panels. Each with 71 pieces of glass, that's if I did the math correctly, there are no chips, breaks or problems with the glass. There is a small split that is shown in the photos, and that should be eventually attended to. The shade weighs a hefty 10 lbs. The Lamp: The lamp measures 53 1/2 inches tall. And retains it's original Bryant sockets, all 3 are marked"Bryant, 250W, 250V, Pat'd Nov. 25, 1907. I did rewire the base about 25 years ago and used reproduction cloth covered cord, the plug is modern. ... moreAll three lights work as does their pull chains. The bottom of the base measures about 1/2 inch thick and is about 16 inches across, and like the shade is unsigned, it appears to be bronze with an applied patina, I don't know for sure, but suspect that the base is filled with lead or someother metal to add weight, a photo is posted of the bottom. The lamp without the shade weighs about 30 Lbs. I purchased the lamp about 25 years ago from an 86 year old gentleman who was moving into an assisted living facility. He purchased a house with all its contents in 1933, and the lamp came with the house. The lamp's cord went bad in the 1960's according to Hugh, he then removed the shade and stored it, and then placed the base in a closet. The lamp does have a slight tilt to it due to laying in a closet for over 25 years, I've never attempted to straighten it out, as it never bothered me. The manufacturer is unknown to me. I assume it was a new player in the leaded stained glass business in the early part of the last century(1907- 1910) as the shade, to me anyway, looks to be over-engineered. This is a stunning antique high quality stained glass. And brass electric table lamp. the lamp is made from thick black glass and has a great shape. It has a circular brass base and filler brass top part on the top which has nice detail. right above is the shaft holding the dual brass light sockets. they each have beautiful brass on/off pull chains and are completely adjustable. they pivot back and forth on the shaft. T his is a large and elegant original Bigelow Kennard of Boston leaded glass and bronze table lamp with all its original signature parts. It dates from around 1906. This lamp has been in my immediate family since the fall of 1975 when it was purchased from a fine art antique shop in Chicago. This sale is really for a serious Bigelow Kennard collector and probably not a dealer. I love this lamp and I want it to go to someone who will love it as much and will keep it and enjoy it for a good long while. Selling a documented. Circa 1905 leaded glass lamp manufactured by Unique Art Glass& Metal Company. This shade is in immaculate condition and is one of the best preserved shades I have come across from this era not in a museum. There are NO cracks. Only the tiniest blemish in the glass as shown in photo#6 though it is superficial and does not extend through to the other side of the glass piece. Both the shade and the base can be viewed on page 74 of Paul Crist's Mosaic Shades book. Lamp stands 21.5" high and shade is 16.5" wide. Has an original Hubbell socket in good working condition. The lamp has been rewired with modern, cloth covered wire and a vintage style plug. Nice verdigris over bronze patina. Has a quality, sand cast bronze heat cap/ring. There is a very slight dent on the rim of the base as shown in photo#9, which ... moreisn't unusual for Unique lamps given their propensity for constructing their bases with thin sheet brass. Overall. This is a beautiful example from one of the most influential and largest American manufacturers of copper-foiled lamps in early 20th century. Beautiful Antique Leaded / Stained Glass Lamp Fabulous Shade & Base Rewired Mint
This is a really Beautiful and very old Lamp. Created sometime around the turn of the century very early 1900's. The Base is either Iron or Bronze& has some weight. It does have a turn switch on the Base You can see in My photos. Has a really nice Finial that screws on to the Top. This Lamp& it's Shade are in Perfect condition. The Shade is different shades of green. Caramel& cream colors and it is a Leaded Glass Shade. The Shade is not like one I have seen before it is rectangular in shape. This is a Original Antique Lamp& very high quality. It does have some numbers on the underside but I am unsure of Who the Maker is. this is a gorgeous vintage leaded white and green stained glass hanging light fixture. it was bought at an estate sale. John Bigelow founded the firm around 1824 and was soon joined by his brothers, Alanson and Abraham Bigelow. In 1830, they were known as Bigelow Brothers. But when Martin Parry Kennard of Brookline joined the firm around 1846 the company became known as Bigelow Brothers& Kennard until 1863. Then from 1863 to 1972 it was Bigelow Kennard& Co. For a buyer this is a wonderful piece of"hard proof" provenance: An 8-page article on the Bigelow Studios appeared in the“New Series. Volume XLI September 1909— February, 1910” edition of"New England Magazine, An Illustrated Monthly. On page 517 there is a photograph that shows this base and finial with this shade. Because this original photo was supplied directly to and for use explicitly in this article by the Bigelow Studios( as indicated in the caption) It is positive proof that this lamp’s highly ornate and very substantial base is original to this shade and its finial, and may in fact be a"limited edition" as there are no records to be found of another lamp like this one. Beautiful Large Antique Leaded Stained Glass Lamp 3 Lights 24" Tall, 20" shade
You are considering this outstanding antique leaded glass lamp. There are no markings that I could find. If you know the manufacturer. Please let me know. The lamp is approximately 24 1/2" tall. It has 3 lights. You can have 1 light on, two lights on, or all three lights on. The switch is on the base. The lamp works perfectly. I think the cord has been replaced. I do not send the bulbs to you for safety reasons. The leaded glass shade is both unique and very beautiful. It has an opalescent hue when lit that does not show in the pictures. It is about 19 3/4" diameter and 9" high. There are 6 small cracks on the shade which are in the pictures. Pictures 2. 3, 4, 5 show each side of the lamp shade. You have to use the zoom feature and look close to see them. There are a few lines on the shade which are not cracks. They show on ... moreone side of the shade but not the other. The lamp base is about 7 1/2" I believe the base is brass. It has a lovely patina. The sockets are wrap around rather than just straight up and down. Please use the zoom feature to see all of the wonderful detail. Shipping is $95.00 including a double box with lots of padding for the shade and a separate box for the base. 48 U.S. States only.
