Antique German Dresden or Meissen Basket Weave Floral and Figural Lamp
This auction is for an antique German Dresden or Meissen lamp. The body of the lamp is of a woven basket texture and it is adorned with pretty pink roses and green leaves and is surrounded by three cute cherubs. The marble base is also adorned with the roses. Any mark on the porcelain is obscured by the marble base. But it is obviously a very fine German porcelain. The overall height of the lamp is 18 3/4 inches. Including the pretty floral finial. This lamp is in good condition considering its age. It needs a cleaning and the wiring is old and should be replaced. Buyer pays actual shipping and insurance costs.

For your consideration. We offer an ornate antique German porcelain oil lamp wired for electricity. The base features a boy and girl in pink floral drapery. There are pink painted and applied flowers and leaves. There is a key marked Germany that lifts what was the burner. Which is marked Kronos M-1911. It measures 17 ¼ inches high and the base is 5 ¼ inches across. The shade fitter is for a 10 inch shade. But looks as if a ring should be added for stability. Obviously. I never found the time to complete the lamp, but the electric and the switch work fine. Several of the applied flowers are chipped. There is a small chip on the girl’s foot. Other- wise. Antique Austrian German Oil Lamps Ditmar blue glass with Mirror Reflectors
They are not exactly the same. The blue glass bases are the same size and the burners. One mirror reflector was made in Germany for Ditmar, the other was made in Austria for Ditmar. The shades look to be original but one is taller than the other. The hanging hook on the reflector and the fastening clamp is different between the two. Very old and very rare, no cracks, dents, or chips. The mirrors have a little foxing around the rims. With the chimney one measures 11 5/8" tall, the other is 13" tall, the bases are 4.5" wide. I try to find any defects but I can't guarentee I'll see them all. No returns unless item is not as described. This is an older piece and therefor is no longer perfect as the day it was made. The lithophane is part of the shade in raised relief and hand colored on the back. Its says hand made by the signatures. It is decorated in gold exterior. The raised hand painted scene is a hunt scene of a running deer with dogs chasing it. What detail. The long wire looks like it was added and should be replaced. It's frayed. Please excuse the reflections in the pictures. SIZE: The lamp is just under 11 inches tall. The shade is approximately 9 inches tall. The wall plate is 6" round approx. CONDITION: The lamp is in excellent condition. C.1920s This auction is for this beautiful sconce from a German hunting chalet. Th back plate is carved from oak and stained a walnut brown. The edges are decorated with carved oak leaves. The large antler is a fallow deer antler and decorated with silver colored metal oak leaves and acorns. To the right and left we have a roebuck stag antler. The fallow deer antler holds a little lantern style shade that is green and red glass and held together by metal. Probably pewter or lead framing. The antlers have a beautiful rich and deep patina and the lamp shade is in good used condition as well- except for one panel that shows a crack, see photos. Ity doesn't detract when ... morelooking at the piece and it's not super noticeable. The lamp has been converted for American plus and can hold a full size bulb. It measures from the top of the fallow deer antler to the bottom of the antler it is 22" high. The back plaque that holds the antlers is 7.5" wide and the antlers are 8.5" deep. The little glass chandelier measures without the chain 6" high and on the top it is 4.5" wide and on the bottom it is 3.5" wide and respectively it is 4.5" to 3.5" deep. Antique German Lithophane Hanging Lamp (shade) or Lantern with 5 panels
Antique German lithophane hanging lamp or lantern shade with 5 white porcelain panels depicting little girls' daily lives. The porcelain panels. All marked, are manufactured by Plauesche Porzellanmanufactur of Plaue, Germany(see Margaret Carney's classic book on lithophanes) one of the established lithophane manufacturers in 19th century Germany. The lamp or lantern frame is made of what appears to be a tin-like metal. Size is 7 1/2" tall and 7 1/4" across at widest point. There are five chains attached to the frame from which it could be hung. The chains may not be original since they appear in good condition without wear. Six metal tabs hold each lithophane plaque slotted in place. A single upper tab has snapped off in two of the slots holding panels, but their absence does not seem to affect the seating of the plaques. ... moreThe porcelain panels depict sweet scenes of children's every day lives, a popular lithophane genre intended to evoke sympathetic responses, according to Margaret Blair. In this case, we have(1) a mother demonstrating needlework stiches to a daughter(PPM 558, identified as"Stick-Unterricht" in PPM's inventory) 2) a grandmother helping a child bathe(PPM 662, identified as"Grossmuters Enkel" in PPM inventory) 3) a mother and daughter with little girl begging for a taste or learning cooking(PPM 713, identified as"Erst Beten" in inventory) 4) a disappointed little girl badminton player, PPM 517, identified as"Der Getauschte Nascher" in inventory and(5) two girls being pulled on a sled(PPM 764-52) There are no cracks in the lithophane panels; the size of the panels is 5 1/4" x 4 1/4" or 4 5/16. PPM 764-52 has two holes at the top common in lithopane panels and produced in the manufacturing process. Beautiful lamps are in very nice condition. No chips or cracks. A little dusty from being stored. Paint is nice. May have been re-wired at some point in time. But the plugs look to be older too. This item: an antique porcelain lamp made in Germany circa 1890s. What's unusual about this item is the fact it's a transitional piece going from oil lamps to electric. The figural group was made separately and the tower piece was added later. The wonderful fact about this figurine is NO chips. NO cracks and NO repairs. NO RESERVE. I don't know who the maker is. The seller swears it's Meissen but without a signature or maker's mark I cannot say one way or the other. But whoever made this did a great job with the mold and the paint. Much nicer in person. Antique 1915 Art Glass Cat Lamp Opalescent German Figural Halloween Murano Rare
An outstanding early 20th century art glass lamp in the form of a cat. The entire lamp is handblown glass. The body is opalescent red glass with an extruded tail. Applied blown glass eyes and ears. The lamp measures 9 1/4" tall. I believe this to be a very rare lamp and have not been able to determine a manufacturer. It is most likely German or possibly Italian. The lamp retains the original early 20th century fixture, silk cord, and ceramic plug. The lamp functions properly but I would suggest rewiring if you want to use it with regularity or leave unattended. The cat's left ear has been repaired but it is an excellent job and is hardly noticeable. There are a few small minor nicks around the base. The bulb is not included in the sale. antique 1800's Victorian German bronze brass hand painted porcelain oil lamp
This is an extremely high quality 19th century antique Victorian gold gilded bronze and hand painted porcelain oil lamp made in Berlin. Germany. The body of the lamp is made out of thick porcelain and beautifully painted with an electric matte blue color. each side of the porcelain has nicely painted full body figures. they are done with a realistic approach and have very rich color. one is a female artist wearing a crown. Holding a paint brush in one hand and color palette in the other. the other is a male figure wearing a crown holding a hammer. the bottom of the porcelain body tapers inward and is also very nicely painted. the base is made from very thick gold gilded bronze and footed with 3 very large ornate claw feet. it has two detailed bronze ewer style handles with stylized lion faces on each side. the obscurely shaped font is also ... moremade from extremely thick gold gilded bronze and is a very heavy piece. it's also extremely detailed with a Victorian style and done in high relief. It removes from the base and has two control knobs at the top to operate the lamp. they are spring loaded and work great. the lamp measures 20 1/4 inches tall by 7 1/2 inches wide. it is in very nice antique condition and has acquired a lovely patina from age. there is a maker mark on the inside of the porcelain body but a bit hard to read. it has a very small hairline crack on the figure but very hard to notice. Refer to last photo. it is located above the hammer of the figure. Antique German Candle Stick Oil Lamp F. T. Sale with Shade
This is for an antique candlestick oil lamp that has a brass base and an amber glass oil holder(glass has some bubbles in it) and a small thin glass chimney and a milk glass ribbed shade with a ruffled top. It stands 21" tall when fully assembled from the base to the top of the glass chimney and the base is 5 1/4" wide. The words SALE'S SAFETY BURNER are embossed on the burner and on the wheel it reads F T Sale 129 Oxford Street Manufactured in Germany. There is a small chip on the ruffle at the top of the glass shade and some nicks on the bottom rim that fits into the brass holder. Not very noticeable but worth mentioning. It is a lovely old lamp. Estate Sale - Antique German Made Porcelain Decorative Table Lamp
From our family estate. A lovely porcelain and table lamp that I believe was manufactured in German. I was unable to find any markings on the piece. This lovely piece measures 21 inches tall with the base measureing 8 inches in width and the figurine itself measuring 9 inches tall. There was a shade found with the lamp that is not in good shape- so I will not include it with this sale.but photographed it so that you may see what the piece looks like with a vintage shade. Even though the lamp does work.the electrical cord should be replaced making it safe to use. Antique Vtg GERMAN Porcelain Pair Table LAMP Light Figural SWANS Cloth Cords This is a Pair of Antique German Porcelain Table Lamps that have Figural Swans on the Sides and are Perfect Accent pieces for your Retro Décor. They measure aprox 11 1/2" tall and 5" wide and are marked Germany in Blue on the bases. They are a Light Cream Color and they have Gold Gilt all around. But a lot of it has worn off. They have Cloth cords and Cast Iron parts on the inside. I think these are from the late 1800's to early 1900's. In Great Vintage Working condition with some Rusting on the Cast Iron that you can see on the bases. The cords are frayed but I see no wires showing, some small scratches here and there but no Breaks or Cracks. Please view pics as they are part of the description as well* I Love to go to Auctions.
