Antique 19th Century English Spirit Barrel
Antique English Spirit Barrel that looks to be marked Turnstall Hollingshead& England. Figure on the under stamp appears to be horse and rider. Sorry the photo doesn't show this clearly. Transferware windmill with waterway and homes in background. Brass spigot is missing but barrel is intact and very nice. Note crazing and some staining. Round cap on top has been cracked but is also intact. Design is complete and in great condition. Gold has some wear spots as well as some rub on the RUM wording. Measures 12 5/8"h X 12"w. These barrels are hard to find and make wonderful decorative pieces as well as lamps. Offering this one. Which I have owned for years, at a great price!

I’m selling a collectable and beautifully-coloured English oil lamp from around 1890-and in full working order. It makes a wonderful centrepiece and. Like all oil lamps, it gives a beautiful soft light that adds atmosphere to any room. This is a really striking and attractive lamp in fantastic condition with a very unusual coloured font that graduates from deep turquoise to milky white. The font has no chips or cracks and is decoratively moulded in a basketwork design. The elegant upright stand is spelter. I think, with the look of bronze, and the base is shiny black ceramic. There’s no maker’s mark on the base. But the screw fitting burner with twin thumbwheels is marked‘Duplex’ English Made’ The glass chimney. Also undamaged, ... moreis marked‘Griffin brand Fireproof, foreign’ Dimensions: 58cm high.17.5 diameter of base Condition: Absolutely original and undamaged. Lightly cleaned but with all its antique patina. There is a shallow chip on the ceramic base at the very bottom edge where it stands on the table. It is all but invisible unless you look for it. It has been in the same family for three generations and has been well looked after. This is a really strikingly attractive item. Offered for your bidding is an elegant antique English silver plated table lamp with wooden base. Circa 1920-1930. It lends a bespoke elegance& sophistication to any room. This lamp was crafted from a nice Old Sheffield silver plated urn. With lion heads& rings on the sides and a great looking large engraved crest on the front and is mounted on a wooden base. We are pleased to offer this wonderful pair of antique. Hand painted transferware lamps. These lamps date to the 1930s. They are a matched pair with the same scene on each lamp. The lamps are footed urn shaped. They feature ornate, pierced brass bases in lovely curved design. The lamps are a wonderful rose color on the tops and bottom sections. These sections have a raised scrolled pattern in the ceramic. This pattern is gold gilt in finish with other gilted highlights throughout. The rose color fades to an antique white to cream in their mid sections. The mid sections are hand painted in an old London street scene. The scene includes a depiction of 18th century travelers traveling to London in horse and carriage. They are arriving at their destination which is the old London"Swan" pub and hotel. The lamps are intricate and very ... moredetailed. The painting continues around the lamp with trees and vegetation and birds in flight. The lamps are very nice and quite special. I am offering a Vintage Antique Brass English Oil Lamp Converted to Electric. This lamp measures approximately 29" tall in total height(lamp + shade) The actual lamp measures 20 1/4" tall x 8" wide(this is measured from top of bulb holder to bottom of base) The shade measures 13 1/2" tall x 13 1/4" wide. The lamp was once an oil lamp that has been converted to electric and how has a two-pronged cord(see photo) This lamp is in great working order. The lamp is turned on by pushing the cylinder switch at bulb base. This lamp still has its original oil opening and wick controls. The lamp. Itself, is in very good vintage condition. Of course, there is some minor tarnishing due to age, but this just adds to the charm of this piece. Antique 1920’s English Oak Wooden Barley Twist Table Lamp& Shade. Lovely 1920’s English Barley Twist table lamp. The lamp is made of solid oak. With beautiful grain& patina, it has a circular turned base, a nicely carved barley twist stem. Has the original bakelite bulb holder. Re-wired to U.S. wiring& uses a european bulb which is included. Includes vintage shade. Stands approximately 14-1/2 inches tall. 6 inch diameter base. Condition: Excellent antique condition ~ working.
