This nice period lamp dates ca. 1900-1915 and manufactured in an era when they could be“wired” for either gas or electricity. It measures 24” tall(16” to the top of the socket) and sports an original 8” x 35” square shade having solid brass riveted frame with steel under structure. The textured opalescent slag glass is all original with no cracks. But a tiny corner loss as photographed. The base is brass plated cast iron with minor rust and it is very dirty and attic fresh. The owner thought it should be re-wired for sale, so that has been done. The lamp works, but it should be professionally tested before use) You will note a dent to the top cap and the shade attaches via a cast iron 4” shade holder. Antique Solid Brass Gas Fueled Candelabra 3 Footed Arts & Crafts Art Deco
Antique solid brass. Gas fueled table top candelabra. Three arms, each made to look like a simple sprouting flower. Three horn shaped feet. The gas connection is at the bottom across from the center arm. The large geometric shaped finial is six sided with a faux flame at its center. I don't know when this piece was made. But, from its appearance, I think it could be Arts& Crafts or Art Deco era. The candelabra weighs 7 lbs. It measures 13-1/2" x 8-3/4" x 8" The threaded opening where a gas line can be connected measures 1/2" in diameter. The finial and candle cups atop each arm are removable. No cracks. Breaks, or repairs. Beautifully tarnished. There is a subtle wave in the top rim of one of the candle arms. All three arms have been plugged so that actual candles may be used instead of gas flame. The plugs are ... moreeasily removed, if you want to use this lamp as it was originally intended. I don't know if anything else needs to be done to use it with gas.

No reserve past opening bid for this gorgeous high quality guaranteed antique(circa 1915) leaded glass table lamp. Numbered"9" under base but otherwise mark appears illegible, see photo. Lamp has 16" diameter shade and stands 22" high, looks nice on or off, see pictures. Beautiful leaded art glass shade features graduating size light caramel colored segments over a band of darker caramel rectangles, with an apron consisting of 2 rows of colorful turquoise and blended color segments separated by light caramel segments and connected by alternating jewel-like green and red tapered oval pieces. Glass is all original. No replaced pieces. The leading has a gold tone finish, some minor wear. Metal base has color, shape and design that compliments the shade nicely. Original finish, minor wear only, see photos. The two sockets ... moreand pull chains work smoothly. The shade rests on a brass disc, which is unseen but is probably a replacement, looks newer. The cap/finial are definitely old but look to have been repainted, good match to base though. Lamp has been rewired at one time. Works fine. Overall the lamp is in very nice condition: there is just one little red piece that is cracked.very stable, and virtually unnoticeable since the little red and green pieces have a light-reflecting granite texture. I have left it in its original condition although I had often considered replacing the tiny glass beads. With time they have fallen off as the threads that hold the beads just disintegrate. This lamp is electrified and works although the wiring is not original.casts multi-colored shadows in the walls and ceiling and it is lovely when the room is dimly lit.When lit it It measures 24 inches in height and the brass shade is 13 inches wide. Antique Handmade Arts & Crafts - FOLK ART - Mission Wooden Lamp
This is a super period Arts& Crafts/ Mission desk lamp. It is all handmade by an individual( not a mass produced company production piece) It is completely composed of solid Oak. Including the curved lamp shade element! The post or arm, from the base, also has a hand painted" floral" design/motif, and then on either side of the post are two" stepped" wood openings for photos to be inserted. I do have the glass panels/panes for these opens but removed them to take the pixz. It appears to be in an all original condition with a nice patina and an old alligatored varnish. The lamp will need to rewired, as it has the original cloth covered wiring and the original plug. I did not plug it in to see if it works in it's present condition, but the rewire job would be a quick and easy fix. Up for auction is a beautiful antique Arts& Crafts tabe lamp from the 1920's-30's. This is a pottery lamp formed from red clay and finished in an antique bronze. All original except that I rewired this lamp with high quality bronze cloth covered wire. Excellent original example. You can use this lamp as is or refinish this back to mint. Sold without the shade. I just wanted to show what might have been on this lamp. Takes a shade with a 3 1/4" hole that just sits on top. Original finial. THEY WERE FOUND IN THE OLD BUILDING. THAT WAS A FORMER DANCE HALL AND GAME CLUB IN DOWNTOWN HONOLULU. ONCE I SAW THEM I WAS IMMEDIATELY STUNNED BY THEIR APPEARANCE AND STARTED TO GATHER AS MUCH INFO ON THEM AS I POSSIBLY COULD RIGHT THERE ON THE SPOT USING MY COMPUTER BEFORE EVEN MAKING AN OFFER I ALREADY KNEW THAT THEY WERE PROBABLY CHINESE. I ASKED THE CURATOR OF THE BUILDING FOR HIS PERMISSION TO DETACH ONE OF THEM FROM IT'S BASE TO LOOK FOR A POSSIBLE MAKERS MARK. BUT GOT A DEFINITE"NO" FROM HIM AND WAS ASKED TO COME UP WITH THE OFFER OR LEAVE. SO. AFTER THE FIERCE NEGOTIATION I WAS THE OWNER OF A VERY STRANGE LOOKING AND HEAVY LAMPS THAT WERE SO DIRTY ... moreTHAT I HAD TO WRAP THEM UP IN A PAIR OF BEACH TOWELS THAT WERE LATER PRONOUNCED UN WASHABLE BY THE HOTEL PERSONNEL WHERE I STAYED. DURING THIS PROCEDURE I DID FIND THE MANUFACTURERS MARKS AND CAN STATE NOW THAT THE PORCELAIN MONKEY FIGURINES WERE IN FACT MADE IN CHINA DURING THE LATE 20'S AND EARLY 30'S TOGETHER WITH THE SOFT WOOD BASES. THE SLAG GLASS SHADES AND ALL METAL HARDWARE AND WIRING WERE DONE IN THE US PRE WAR. WHICH WAS THE COMMON PRACTICE BACK IN THE DAY. OVERALL I WOULD RATE THEM AS 10 FOR ORIGINAL ANTIQUE CONDITION ON A 10 POINT SCALE. I ONLY REWIRED THEM WITH PERIOD ELECTRIC CORD AND WAS ABLE TO LEAVE THE OLD SOCKETS. PLUGS AND FITTINGS. Antique Vintage Arts Crafts Mission Art Glass Lamp Copper Rivets Metal Wood
This attractive assembly features a 1895-1915 iron framed art glass shade and a shop made mission base from the 1920s-30s. It measures 21 ½” tall with 6” square base and stands 14 ¾” to the base of the light socket. Th base is hand made of solid walnut with original dark finish and is mounted with solid copper rivets. The shade measures 7” tall x 12” square and shows wear. Rust, flaking paint and pitting to the frame. 3 of the art glass panes are cracked. The lamp works but needs to be rewired. Antique Carved Art Deco Mission Arts Crafts Opaque Glass Lampshade Color Fruit
This is a small antique opaque glass lampshade with a carved or acid etched design. Then handpainted, age and maker unknown, either Arts and Crafts, Mission, or possibly Art Deco? It is 3 5/8" x 4" wide, in excellent condition. There are 6 carved/ raised panels, 3 black frames with a leaf diamond design above and below it, and 3 beautiful carved hanging fruit and leaf panels, handpainted in bright orange, and muted blue and green. The base glass is a mottled pale neutral with a hint of green. There is a raised tip on top where the shade probably rested on the original lamp base. A gorgeous shade. Buyer pays shipping. Rare Antique Art Deco Czech Alien Ware Ditmar Urbach Arts & Crafts Pottery Lamp
Beautiful antique pottery lamp in excellent condition with no hairlines. Cracks, chips, etc. This lamp has been professionally reworked with a new cord, and each socket component has been rewired as well. The bottom of the pottery base is impressed Made in Czechoslovakia. The lamp rests on a circular wooden base that is app. 5 1/2" diameter. The lamp is approximately 23" high to the top of the finial. The pottery portion is about 13" to the base of the metal. All of the parts of this lamp are original, except the new cord. Needless to say this lamp functions properly with two pull chains as shown.
