It dates from the early 1900's around 1920. It is a signed Electrolier fixture. This company made high end lighting in the 1920's and 1930's. This fixture comes with the slip shade. The glass shade is free from any chips or cracks. This lamp looks quite nice hen it is lit. The sconce has the original gold paint and it is free from any signs of rust which is nice. This slip shade sconce has the original switch on it and it is still active and working. This lamp has been tested working however it still has the old cloth wires so you may want to have them replaced. The sconce measures 6 1/2" x 10 1/2" and projects 5 1/4" from the wall( with the shade on) The slip for the shade is 4 5/8" at the top and curves in over 3 1/4" As you can see there is some white wall paint on the one corner. This could easily be cleaned off but we did not want to ruin any of the original gold paint so we will leave it up to you. Never Any Reserve! All questions will be answered promptly! Up for auction is a beautiful antique signed Pairpoint two(2) cluster lamp base. This base has two original Harvey Hubbell sockets with mica and porcelain interiors and the familiar acorn pulls. The base is a polished brass and I believe it may also be lacquered. I cannot find this base in either the Malakoff book or the St. Aubin book. It is guaranteed to be Pairpoint however as it is properly signed with the trademark diamond impressed on the underside of the base. It has a beautiful floral decoration around the base with figural lion heads at the bottom. This base stands about 17.5" tall and is about 7.5" wide at the base. It has been rewired with gold vinyl lamp cord. This is a larger base and most likely was intended for one of the larger"puffy" shades Pairpoint made. I do have a 14" spider up for auction separately. ... moreIt will fit over the top of the base but it does not however fit this lamp properly as the spider will not clear the arms and sockets. It will only fit if upside down. Which is not correct. If you wish to purchase that spider I will combine shipping however. I purchased this piece just as you see it. I believe it's all original. I do not see evidence this particular base was silver plated and it's likely it was always polished brass. I believe that this pattern is a rarer one as it's not found in the main reference books or online auctions. It is in wonderful condition and shows no sign of damage or repair. This base is now likely over 100 years old and displays beautifully! I've tried to describe everything to the best of my ability but p lease look at all the photos as they are the best description. Antique Heavy Cast Metal Art Deco Electric Table Lamp w/Bryant Sockets (2-Bulb)
This is a beautiful. Antique, heavy, ornate solid cast metal, electric table lamp, with a dark gold finish. We believe this lamp to have been made for the more upper class people of the art deco period times. Was probably used for heavy slag glass shades. But not 100% sure. Lamp is probably made by a known maker of it's time. But can only find one possible maker mark on it. see photo 7) There appears to be a embossed stamped vertical line on only the one side of the heavy cast metal harp. The two bulb sockets have a metal pull chain and are stamped Bryant. pull chain seems works just fine) The condition of the lamp is nice. But does have some surface ware on the finish due to age and use.see photos) The cloth cord will definitely have to be replaced as well. As the end of it was cut off at some point in time.
