I am not sure of the exact dimensions of these. But assume they are about 7ft tall. The base is a carved rock(perhaps marble) and the rest is teak wood. These is heavy and solid! This is a nice pair of antique barley twist oak columns or posts that were salvaged from an antique French china cabinet. They measure aprox. 36" high x 2 1/2" in diameter. Overall they are in good condition. There are chips at the top and bottom where the nails were attached. One side is finished and the other side that was facing in is somewhat unfinished. We also have a slightly smaller pair presently listed. We will gladly combine lots whenever possible to save on shipping costs.

Wood Architectural Pillars by Patella
Architectural wood pillars custom made by Patella for the City of Boston. Made for a remodel job at the main branch of the Boston Public Library at Copley Square Boston. Unused and have been sitting in the climate controlled basement there for the last 23-25 years. Most are still in original crates. Exceptional engineering and construction. Patella is very very high end. The bases appear to be 6 ply marine grade plywood. Though most. I think 10 out of 12 have suffered some delamination of the glue on the biscuit joints of the base moulding. Not a very difficult or expensive fix. I have probably 25-30 pictures but had some trouble uploading probably will add more. They stiill have some dust on them. They are right about 10 feet tall, but am sure a talented person with a band saw could make them 8 or 9 feet tall. The caps are I believe corinthian ... morestyle and are plaster. About as close to new as you will ever find and cool provenance. Very rare find at probably 25% of cost. Cash and carry. Doesnt likely get much better than that. They were originally support pillars in a large French cabinet. They are in very good antique condition: Both pillars have the expected amount of nicks and scratches from 70+ years of use.
