Incredible Antique German Dresden Cobalt and Gilt Candlestick
This auction is for an antique German Dresden candlestick which stands about 12 inches high. It is primarily porcelain with the top part being bronze. It is beautifully done with the primary color being cobalt which is hand painted over with gilt and accented with lovely little vignets on the stick itself and on the base. This antique piece is in great condition. Just some minor crazing that can be seen on the bottom of the piece. Buyer pays actual shipping and insurance costs.

This is an Antique Pair of Signed Dresden Porcelain 9" Tall Candelabras in like new condition! They seem to have all of the parts and pieces in excellent condition. Without any chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing. They each stand 9' tall at the center candle cup and 8' tall on the 2 side cups. They have a tripod base of 4" x4" x4" The candle cups with the bobeche are 2" x 2' They span 8.5" from side to side. They are white porcelain with applied flowers in pink, yellow, and blue, with green leaves and hand painted gold embellishment. Shipping includes insurance and a lot of bubble wrap!

With much pleasure we are offering a lovely pair of Richard Klemm Dresden Candlestick holders of Meissen Saxony If you have a passion for Richard Klemm porcelain you will appreciate the fine artistry displayed in this set of Candle holders and the well combined palette of colors used to create this stunning set. As you can see the talented artist depicts four different cameos on each side of the holders. All beautifully gilded. D resden-Richard-Klemm-Mark 9" tall-4 1/2" base We find this mark was used by the Richard Klemm Decorating Studio. Whose decorating style was similar to that of the Meissen. This particular mark used by the studio circa 1881 to 1914. Once a marking has been identified. The rest of the puzzle ... morefalls into place. Digging a little deeper about the owner of the marking by using both print and online reference sources for 19th-century pottery and porcelain. We find that the Klemm studio was founded by Karl Richard Klemm in Dresden. Germany, in 1869. His studio was one of many in Dresden during this late Victorian period. There were more than 40 studios in the Dresden area that specialized in the painting of porcelain in the Meissen style. These are absolutely beautiful. In excellent condition with no damage or repairs. Except a few typical scuffs. In 1708. Johann Friedrich Böttger and his team discovered the secret of the porcelain production, arcanum. Ca. 1870's pair of antique fine porcelain Dresden candlesticks. Hand painted flowers. Raised relief, and gold swirl accents. Decorated 360°. One candlestick has some wax in it so it looks dingy in the picture. Measures approximately 6" in height. No cracks. No repairs. Very minimal loss of gold accents. One candlestick has an underside bottom flake on the foot. Can't be seen upright and very minor when looking at it. Last picture taken. Both unmarked.

A theology student called Georg Heinrich Macheleidt received permission from the regional prince in Germany to set up a porcelain manufacturing company in the small town of Sitzendorf. In 1760. The first porcelain factory was established. It was moved to Volkstedt in 1762. The actual manufacturer of figurines began in the town of Sitzendorf in 1884 though the factory began working with porcelain in 1850. By 1809, the company had a second factory and had introduced steam power that helped them employ a total of 300 employees in two factories in a town with a population of 700. The factory remains in operation into the present day. Sitzendorf porcelain is identified and valued by its year of manufacture. The year and the stamping on the porcelain indicate under which of the owner managers the piece was produced. Everything from the Macheleidt period would obviously be the most valuable(determined of course by condition) There are several distinct periods in the management history of the factory. Antique Dresden Porcelain Candlestick by Franziska Hirsch - Late 19th C
Beautiful. Handpainted candlestick by Franziska Hirsch in excellent condition. Although the candlestick is marked"Dresden" and has the famous crossed swords indicative of"Meissen" however, the addition of the small letter"H" above the sword attributes it to Hirsch. Between 1894 and 1895, Hirsch copied the Meissen trademark until the courts, at Meissen's insistence, stopped him. The candlestick measures 6 3/4" tall with a base that is 4 3/8" in diameter. The top is 2" in diameter and holds a 7/8" in diameter candle. It's in excellent condition. Without any chips, cracks, missing paint or wear to the gilt. Magnificent Antique SITZENDORF Dresden 21" Pair 4 Light Candelabra Man/Woman EXC
This is an amazing pair of antique porcelain candelabra from Germany. Made by the Dresden Sitzendorf factory dating between 1880s-1910 or so. Magnificent 21" high. 4 light set. Applied floral and vines throughout; one has a lady with large basket and the other has a gentleman with a large basket. He has one foot upon a light blue pumpkin or eggplant type vegetable. Very elegant attire and superb expression, detail and quality. The overall condition is outstanding. There are some petal. Leaf and vine chips scattered around but none are glaring. You have to look closely to notice. The lady's center bobeche looks to have been repaired(as shown) Another of her bobeche has a chip to the bottom pink leaf and the removeable arm is a bit loose in its fitting. I would just put a bit of putty on the bottom. The Sitzendorf mark is apparent ... moreon one but faint. They each bear impressed numbers and the written number 34. This is my favorite out of approximately 13 sets I have had over the years. The figures are huge and just outstanding quality. Plus they are just encrusted with large flowers throughout. Pair Antique Germany Figural Porcelain candlesticks Cupid Psyche Angel Dresden
Each of these unmarked late 1800s hand modeled porcelain candle holders measures 10 ½” tall x 4 ½” square at the footed base and feature an elegant female figure(5 ¾” tall) with winged companion(2 ½” tall) They are unmarked. The lady with lavender gown has repairs and loss to her right hand and both have repaired candle sockets. Close study of each reveals slight differences in the modeling of the figures and each has a somewhat varied color scheme. There is a hairline in the“cloud” base of the lady with damaged fingers.
