ANTIQUE MEISSEN PORCELAIN CANDELABRA - 19th Century
This single antique porcelain candelabra is fresh from a Rhode Island estate!The candelabra features a seated cherub holding what appears to be a cup in his right hand. The four socket candelabra stands 15 inches tall and measures about 9 1/2 inches wide. There is a blue underglaze mark of four crossed lines and two dots. I am not familiar with this mark. However, it is probably Meissen or one of the other quality German porcelain factories. The candelabra comes apart in two pieces and the top portion can be rotated to put the candles where you like. There is a chip and a repair on the very bottom back part of of the base and there are also a few small chips on some of the flowers, otherwise, very good condition! NO RESERVE!

Antique Dresden Porcelain Candlestick by Franziska Hirsch - Late 19th C
Beautiful. Handpainted candlestick by Franziska Hirsch in excellent condition. Although the candlestick is marked"Dresden" and has the famous crossed swords indicative of"Meissen" however, the addition of the small letter"H" above the sword attributes it to Hirsch. Between 1894 and 1895, Hirsch copied the Meissen trademark until the courts, at Meissen's insistence, stopped him. The candlestick measures 6 3/4" tall with a base that is 4 3/8" in diameter. The top is 2" in diameter and holds a 7/8" in diameter candle. It's in excellent condition. Without any chips, cracks, missing paint or wear to the gilt. As found. A pair of Sitzendorf candelabra, late 19th century, modeled as a young gentleman with a purse holding a golden goblet and a young lady holding a pitcher(for wine perhaps) Both figures wear aprons. The columns of the candelabra are flower encrusted and both stand on flower encrusted bases. The gentleman carries a three armed candle holder and the lady has a single candle holder. Measuring approximately There is some damage notably: The gentleman: the head has been glued under the chin and there are some flaws on his forehead. Worn gilt on the goblet and a small chip on the base of the goblet. Missing rosebud on right hand branch of candleholder. Tips of two petals on right hand candle holder have small chips. The lady: has an unattached garland of buds/berries and some unattached netting around her hair and neck and it is not known ... moreif these were originally part of the decoration. There is a rough spot under the bottom of the center front fold of the skirt that could be a firing flaw. On both: the flowers. Leaves, petals and gilding are mostly intact but, in keeping with their age, there are some chips/cracks/missing or worn paint etc. all as pictured. Overall the colors are vibrant and the painted decoration and gilding is in good condition with lots of very fine detail on the faces, costumes, and accessories.
