My opinion is that the glass is Bohemian. It's quite beautiful with a heavy glass center that appears to be ruby red(I think, rather than"flashed" red) which is cut to clear in a geometric pattern. The fittings appear to be brass and the base/ foot is marble(with felt lining on bottom. A fairly large piece. The glass measures approximately 6" in diameter. The base is about 5" square. Not counting ... morethe finial, it is 18 1/4" tall. This piece appears to be in generally excellent used/old condition and- as you can see in the next to last pic- it works great. I don't see any cracks or damage on the cord. Either. However, I can not remove the harp. and I am not going to try to force it. The only damage I see is some green on the stem- discoloration or just needs cleaning/ polishing? Antique Art Deco Bronze Woman Lamp with Marble Base and Art Glass Shade
This lamp has been sitting in my grandmother's home ever since purchased in the 1930's and has sat in a niche in her stairwell for as long as I can remember. Now I inherited it. Had it rewired. The original cloth wiring was in bad shape. It has its original, very delicate glass shade which is held on by two screws(as seen in pictures) Lamp is fragile and glass is only held on by the two screws. It is in wonderful condition for its age. It was purchased in France and it is French in origin. I have yet to see another one like it. Lamp is 15" tall by 7" wide by 7" deep. The piece stands 32 1/2" high and shade has a diameter of 20" marble base is 12" x 6 1'2" Great line with this very rare Stiffel lamp one of the hardest to find. With mounted lift off candy or nut dish. There is a stiffel label as per photo 6. Faded somewhat. The shade which is orginal has some old tape marks inside and some paper tears all pretty much on the inside, I have the photos shown all sides of shade. You are bidding on a very rare signed Prof. G. Gambogi light. This piece is made from marble(at base) to the gypsy being alabaster. The four little figures holding the light are made of brass. It is made in Italy. The globe is not original to this piece. The family who owns this piece had it for 40 years and prior to her recieving this piece it was her fathers. And she remembers it from when she was young. This piece weighs about 40 to 45lbs, it has great detail, and constructed to last. It is more beautiful in person. ANTIQUE FRENCH BRONZE PINK MARBLE IRIS FLOWER STAINED GLASS OIL LAMP CONVERTED
We are pleased to offer this GORGEOUS. Old, antique French converted oil lamp. The lamp is exceptional. Designed in the same manner as other French oil lamps of this period(late 1800s) this beauty is set apart by the fantastic color pattern. The lamp has a long center column of pink marble with lots of intricate and colorful veins. The marble ranges from a true pink with peach, deep plum and white veins. The glass oil reservoir is satin frost with raised, embossed leaves that rise from the bottom section of the bowl. There are three, large Iris flowers which circle the vessel. Each flower is a different color. There is a peach flower, a purple flower and a deep rose colored flower. The flower colors are not a reverse paint, but rather an opaque, stained effect color. This is a beautiful feature. The marble and glass are coupled with ornate ... morebronze hardware. The base features four, clawed, acanthus leaf feet that are formed into a fleur de lis as they move up the base. There is an intricate pattern of draped swags which join to form hearts or spades. Inside the hearts/spades are acanthus features. There are also Gothic/Celtic crosses which separate the patterns on the upper base section. Just above the base, at the lower column section, is a bronze torch"flame" The marble rests inside. A column cap finishes the marble column at the top. This is an exceptional, RARE lamp. It is in extremely nice condition for its age. There are no chips, cracks, etc. to either the glass or the marble. The gilt finish is still present and the bronze is gorgeous. This is an incredible lamp! The pictured shade is not included but the lamp does come with the harp(it is fixed) and a very nice, ornate finial. The lamp has been converted at some point to electric. The wiring is older vintage. But in good working condition. Most of the original hardware has been retained. The lamp could be converted back to oil if you so choose. On black marble base, signed with label on base and stamp on bottom. Circa 1950s. Gorgeous vintage Italian piece. Perhaps the definition of Hollywood Regency lamp- glamourous, bold, visually striking. Original tole wheat sheafs set upon a polished black Italian marble base, with metal feet. Lamp measures 48" to finial top, 37" to top of socket. I've found these much more scarce than the wheat sheaf tables. Pull chain single socket. Finial deosn't appear original. SHADE NOT INCLUDED. But the size is 15" tall/13" diameter with an offset of about 4"5" down from top if you like it's proportion. It is not a great shade but the size and color complement ... morethis lamp well. It did not come with this lamp originally. Condition is VG+vintage- there is aging and patina. Maybe even some very mild oxidation to metal portions. It has not been repainted as is often seen on pieces of this type. Marble is clean and beautiful. there may be a small crack which I did not notice until my super close camera shot(may be fill from maker) Similar patina on small legs. The wheat/leaves do not appear to have been bent or messed with. This is a beautiful and stately Original Italian Toleware piece standing approx 30.5" tall to top of socket. And 43" Tall to top of harp. Loaded with 30 light-dazzling crystal or glass prisms, 15 sets of smaller octagon holding a larger tear-shape Italian faceted prism. The prisms are vintage original and NOT modern additions. The base is VERY HEAVY and SOLID Marble or Alabaster(measuring approx 3" Wide/Deep x 4.5" Tall and is even beveled on the top! What a sign of quality detail! very beautiful and also functional to appropriately weight the lamp down as it is rather tall. There are a couple of small nicks or scratches in one side of the marble which should show in pic 6- ... morenot a chip but small scratches on side w dark smudges. Not significant to us but perhaps to you. The very bottom decorative brass portion of base is approx 5" square. It's in working order(as shown in pics) But sometime the cord is a little persnickety. If you don't move it around it is fine, but sometimes during movement it gets picky. This hasn't been an issue for us as we always left it in one place, but wanted to mention for full disclosure. Likewise, although I had NEVER noticed prior to taking pics and inspecting fully for listing purposes) I think it is actuallly missing one leaf. We've had it for ages and I never noticed this before, even when I originally purchased it, as due to the type of lamp style it could be easily overlooked as I had done. Again, only mentioning for full disclosure. The beautiful prisms will be removed and wrapped separately from lamp for safety in shipping. The lamp is adjustable and measures 25” 29” high. It can also be lowered more by using a smaller lamp shade. The lamp shade is stained and I am not sure if it is the original or not. This listing is for a beautiful banker's style desk lamp with gorgeous black glass shade and black marble and brass base. I believe the marble on the base is real as lamp is very heavy at 4.5 lbs. But the marble on the column feels faux, but I could be wrong. I believe the brass is also real as magnets do not stick to it. Black glass shade is intact and is not broken and it has no chips or cracks. The brass base is tarnished and could use a polishing. I will leave that to the new owner. This is a heavy antique Victorian adjustable bridge arm bronze or brass marble base table lamp. I would date it early 1900s. It's a very cool. Classy looking lamp. It measures 30 3/4 inches tall including the marble base(78 cm) The marble base is 1 1/8 inches thick and 6 inches wide in both directions(2.86 cm x 15.24cm) The arm measures 10 inches from the main rod to the shade holder(25.4 cm) It's adjustable on the main rod to bring the light higher and lower. And adjustable next to the socket to move the socket up or down. It may have been a banker's lamp with a green shade originally. That would look great. As you can see from the photos. Cast iron or guilded metal and marble, alabaster or slag glass table lamp with mid century modern drum shade in good to very good working condition. The brass, gold tone or guilded finish is worn off in some areas and there is a small chip or knick in the marble base shown in the pictures. Also along the upper side of the urn body I noticed a difference in coloration while taking the pictures, it does not look like a crack but I am just not sure. Both the lamp and shade have a very subtle light green tint. ANTIQUE or VINTAGE 2-LIGHT FRENCH BRASS or BRONZE TABLE LAMP with MARBLE BASE and DOLPHIN FEET MEASURES: 26-1/2” Tall by 7-1/2” Wide with an 8” Long by 6-1/2” Wide Base ACTUAL WEIGHT PRIOR TO PACKING: 9 lbs. 12.8 oz. A beautiful brass/bronze table lamp in the French Regency style. Heavy and ornate. It sits on a salmon colored marble base with 4 dolphin feet. All metal parts are non-magnetic. The body of the lamp is an urn with an ornate floral design on both the front and the back. The urn has two Greek Key handles. Measuring 7-1/2” from handle to handle. Above the urn is a brass column holding a plastic candle sleeve and ending in Levinton double sockets with pull chains. The rectangular marble base has a center brass medallion decorated with scrolls and an Acanthus leaf. The numbers 3. 10, 5, 4, and 7 have been scratched into the underside ... moreof the marble. The tall dolphin legs(3-1/2” high) are brass. The lamp is unmarked and age is not known; however. It is extremely well-made with fine craftsmanship. A fabulous estate find. It was described as antique French brass. The condition is great antique or vintage. In working order with very few issues. The brass does show some imperfections here and there. But it has not been cleaned. There are no dents or dings. The right corner of the marble on the base has been repaired and looks to be expertly done with no rough edges(photos#7 and#9) There is one small dark spot on the top of the marble by the brass connector(photo#9) There is a wear spot(photo#10) on one of the handles on the urn. The screw and finial is missing(photo#11) The wiring has been spliced(photo#12) but. Due to its age, rewiring would be recommended anyway.
