Antique Brass Green Glass Student Oil Lamp Electric Light Original Works Well
This fabulous item is an antique student lamp/ desk lamp. This is an original not a reproduction. Vintage condition. this lamp has patina. Color changes in the metal appropriate with its age, no dents. Glass globe and clear shade in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. This lamp is electric and works terrific. Long brown electric cord 85 in. long. no makers marks. The brass compartment can unscrew. It can also be a"secret compartment" to store small things. Gorgeous ribbed green glass globe. White inside. A clear glass shade fits into the lamp. Estate sale find. I haven't cleaned this lamp. I will partially disassemble it for safe shipping. This nice period lamp dates ca. 1900-1915 and manufactured in an era when they could be“wired” for either gas or electricity. It measures 24” tall(16” to the top of the socket) and sports an original 8” x 35” square shade having solid brass riveted frame with steel under structure. The textured opalescent slag glass is all original with no cracks. But a tiny corner loss as photographed. The base is brass plated cast iron with minor rust and it is very dirty and attic fresh. The owner thought it should be re-wired for sale, so that has been done. These are just beautiful green mold blown glass student lamp shades. They are in perfect condition. The fitter measurement is 6 7/8" outside measurement. They are about 5" tall and the opening on the top is 4 1/4" diameter. They are a little hard to describe. They have lines going horizontally. But have faint thumb print designs too. Features Houze Sage Green Slag Glass embellishments on this great old lamp. Early 1900's lamp. Perfect Condition. Shade has a pinkish interior. I can't say for sure the shade dates as old as the lamp. But it is an old shade. Has an old Fat boy socket in it; I've turned it on and off 25-30 times; works great. Should probably have no more than a 60 watt bulb, though in the old days, they regularly installed 100 waters. Designed as a task light, mainly for reading in the parlor. 56 1/2" tall. Lamp will be disassembled for shipment. Not hard to reassemble at all.

We have 6 listed this week.My Great Uncle owned a lamp shop in DC for almost 50 years. From the late 30's until the early 80's. The lamps we have listed this week came from his estate. My aunt, his daughter, recently passed away and we took these parts from her attic. Her Dad had strung these parts in order on a piece of wire and had them hanging in his shop. After he passed my aunt brought them home and hung them in her attic. About 10 years ago she gave us a strand of these parts. We found a threaded pole here on ebay and took the pieces ... moreoff of the wire, sliding them down the pole in the order they came off of the wire and we have had a beautiful slag glass floor lamp ever since. My aunt has recently passed away and these parts came from her attic.This one has what looks to me to be a green vaseline type glass incorporated into its design one of which has chips as shown but the others are fine. The cast iron base and steel parts had been stripped of their paint and or plating years ago and they got rusty so I took my wire wheel and went over them but you'll still need to brush them again before painting however most of the prep work is done. The base is really rusty on the under side but I cleaned the threads up and they look fine. There are 2 matching brass tubes. I polished a small area of one of the tubes so you can see what they'll look like once cleaned up. I do not have any sockets and of course the pole is missing too but the threads in the base look fine. I laid these parts out in a line on the floor and as far as I can tell there are enough to make about a 54" tall lamp. Rod is not included. Thank you for viewing. A 2 part lamp, the shade is separate from the base and rests upon the ornamental brass. The lamp stands 14 1/2" tall with a base that is 5" in diameter. The green leaves against the pink field makes for a stunning contrast to say the least! The lamp has recently been rewired and is in perfect working condition. The condition is remarkable. This item is a Depression Era Green Uranium Vaseline and Jadeite Boudoir Table lamp that works. The Lamp Measures 8" The Base is 4 1/2" wide and has eight 1/2" legs. The Base glows under a black light and is Uranium/Vaseline Glass. The Lamps body is ball shaped with vertical lines in green frosted glass resembling Jeannette Glass Pattern Adam. I can only find one mold line. It has a slight chip where the ring is at the bottom which you have to look hard to find. It does work! The cord is 78" long. This is a Great Old Green Slag Glass Table Lamp Shade in very good condition! It is an 8 Panel shade and all the glass is damage free it also has all it's little tabs. I see no makers marks so I do not know who made the shade or it's age my best guess is 1940s but it could be earlier. It looks to be very well made. There are a few small areas of finish loss but 99% of the original finish seems to be there. The shade from panel to panel is 17 1/2" and the shade weighs 7.10 pounds. Thank you for your interest! ANTIQUE HANDEL LILY DESK LAMP; RARE YELLOW GREEN SLAG GLASS; DUFFNER ERA
For sale is a beautiful documented Handel lily lamp as shown in pictures 1-12. This lamp is relatively rare in that its glass color is not Handel's standard dark green. Rather. It is a lighter striated yellow green. Also the base metal and the metal holding the petals has a lighter golden brown patina that is more in keeping with the muted colors of the glass. The true patina color is shown in natural sun light in photo 3. The true color of the glass is shown in natural light in photos 2& 3. Although the base and shade are unsigned. This lighter colored variation of Handel's lily lamp is pictured(documented) in"The Handel Lamp Book" by Hibel. Hibel& Fontaine at page 30 at the top right. The lily pad base of the lamps were made of cast iron and thus much more difficult to emboss with the Handel mark than the softer ... morepot metal table lamps. Hence, most of these lily pad bottoms had weak lettering(a couple of letters) to no impressions at all. The lamp has been rewired with a period appropriate brown cloth cord that has been spliced at the bottom. See photos 9& 10. The lamp has its original bakelight plug. photo 8) The socket has a GE paddle. Photo 12. The socket works perfectly. The socket shell is spot welded closed at two spots. You can see one of them in photo 2. The shade is 4 inches long from back to front tip(i.e. The front to back diameter) The shade's side to side diameter is 4 1/2 inches wide. The shades front opening is 2 1/4 inches in diameter. It takes one of the narrow pointed bulbs. Unfortunately. The lamp has one panel of glass missing. Fortunately, it is in the least conspicuous spot. The underside. The framing for the petal is still intact. The missing piece can only be noticed by viewing the lamp from the back side(photo 11) or from the underside(photo 12) Because of Handel's overlapping petal pattern, the loss is barely noticable. For sale is a classic Unique Company leaded glass lamp. This exact lamp base with the Saturn socket cluster(photos 3-4) and patina is shown in Paul Crists's book"Mosaic Shades II" at p. 47. As you can see in photos 3-7. This base exhibits Unique's varigated green-brown patina. According to Paul Crist, in"Mosaic Shades II" at p. 48, The most attractive examples[of this base] are in a varigrated green-brown patina over copper plate which is virtually identical to Tiffany's famous finish- an achievement that speaks to the experience and professionalism of Unique's manufactory. Photos 3 and 7 are the best representation of the actual color of this lamp base. This Unique lamp base stands 23 inches tall. The bottom of the base is 8 inches in diameter and has Unique's classic counterweight. The base has three ... moresockets with matching 8.5 inch long acorn pulls. Two of the sockets are the early Hubbell sockets with the raised letters"HUBBELL" on the socket shell. These sockets have their original porcelain inserts(photo 6) and mica insulators. At some time in the distant past. The third socket was replaced and the socket shell patinated green and black. I cannot tell the manufacturer of the socket shell as there is a lot of coating on the outside. However. I did replace the interior of that socket with a next generation Hubbell porcelain. All three sockets click crisply and function properly. The lamp has been completely rewired. You can have the old wiring if you want it. The electrical cord has been replaced with a black rayon(cloth) covered cord that is period appropriate. The lamp retains its original black Bakelite plug. see photo 11) The shade is 17 inches in diameter and 9 inches deep. It is unsigned but has has Unique's periwinkle pattern. Variations of the periwinkle shade are shown in Mosaic Shades II at p. 74. All of the glass in the shade is intact with no breaks or missing pieces. The wood pole is a substantial piece– 12-1/2” diameter solid base maple base with a hole in the center for wiring. The pole section of the lamp has a bottom dimeter of 5” and tapers slowly to a 2-3/4” diameter at the top. It is an uncommon heavy base that easily supports the large glass shade. There are no cracks or chips on the green pottery. The bottom base is rusted along with 2 other sections. The stem of the lamp looks like it's brass and its in good condition. The light bulb holders are movable and in working condition. The green ceramic lamp has 2 lions walking in the wild, one on each side of the lamp. The are some engraved numbers on the bottom on the ceramic but hard to read because on the metal base being in the way. It measures approx 26 1/2 inches tall by 8 inches wide. Very Heavy. Antique brass floor lamp Green onyx base
This lamp was working when I purchased it at an estate sale. Prior to its sale. It was being used. I have never seen one like this. The lamp has as a rust free 11 inch square base and is four inches high. The green onyx base is 6.5 inches square and 1+ inch high. The base has a 3/4 inch green paint. There are four pieces and two rings that make up the column. Three of the pieces have the same of green paint the base has. The paint is original to the base) The long out pole piece has two breaks in it. Three out of the five or six pieces below the candleabra socket unit again is painted green. Four light candleabra. Antique Parlor Oil Kerosene Lamp Converted Electric Light Aladdin HobNail Green
The following auction is for a vintage oil/kerosene lamp that was converted to an electrical light with a switch. It is used.And original. I dont know if this is called a Fenton/Aladdin or not. I dont see any markings on the lamp anywhere,so dont think I am trying to trick you. I dont know if thats a style or a name,sorry this is the first one we have sold The light has some issues.But it does power on. The switch is for a 3 stage bright/brighter/brightest/Off Light. THE LIGHTBULB IS NOT INCLUDED. So you may have to turn the switch a few cranks,before it comes on,unless you have that kind of bulb. The glass is in decent shape with no cracks or repairs in it. There is a small chip on the edge of the lampshade. I forgot to take a pic. Its not real big,and I didnt really notice until just now when I was listing it. I felt it being a little rougher ... morethere. Its a darker green color. I think you call it hobnail or hobknob. The glass does have texture to it. The cord is in alright shape. Not all that great. I wasnt scared to plug it in or anything.But its old and wouldnt really be hard to replace,at least for the piece of mind. The light does work,the switch is a little hard to turn,but it does work. I didnt get shocked or anything like that when I was testing it. There is alot of rust/pitting on the ring that holds the shade.As well as the whole switch assembly. The spot where the oil lamp went is really pitty and rusty. The switch does work for the light,but it feels a little hard to turn. The light sits crooked. I think it has to do with the electrical outlet. When you look down on it,you can see the light is crooked. The whole ring and the entire switch mechanism is dirty and pitted/rusted up. The base appears to have been cleaned up. Its a lot shinier than the rest.It still has some pitting and tarnish spots on it.The underneath side looks terribly discolored and spotty. There is a small chipped off piece on the base. I took a pic. Not really noticeable.But its there The light stands(with shade on) about 16 inches

Midcentury Eames Era Lamp Two-Tiered Fiberglass Shade Atomic Gold & Teal Green
This small Eames era lamp is almost too cute. It's a fun retro piece with great color– gold and a teal-y green. It's 15.5” to the top of the two-tiered shade. The base is about 7” wide and 3.5” deep– The perfect size for small side tables or nightstands. The shade is the original pale green-brown fiberglass shade. It's two-tiered. Like a wedding cake. It has a little dirt, and a few small brown age spots, but it's it's really in lovely condition. It has a Leviton socket with a press button. The electric wiring appears good. Antique Paris Porcelain Converted Oil Lamp 1800's/ Green
I found this at a thrift store. It is 10" tall and 4" across base. It is heavy. It weighs almost 2 1/2 lbs. It is hand painted with 2 shades of green and black. The is a spot of brown discoloration on the back see 9th photo. No chips or cracks. The base is tarnished and I haven't tried to polish it. I don't know when it was converted. It has a newer style plug and the cord is 6' long. Works. Would be a super cute bedroom lamp with a white ruffled shade. I don't know what year this was made but I would guess mid to late 1800's.
