This nice period lamp dates ca. 1900-1915 and manufactured in an era when they could be“wired” for either gas or electricity. It measures 24” tall(16” to the top of the socket) and sports an original 8” x 35” square shade having solid brass riveted frame with steel under structure. The textured opalescent slag glass is all original with no cracks. But a tiny corner loss as photographed. The base is brass plated cast iron with minor rust and it is very dirty and attic fresh. The owner thought it should be re-wired for sale, so that has been done. The lamp works, but it should be professionally tested before use) You will note a dent to the top cap and the shade attaches via a cast iron 4” shade holder. My opinion is that the glass is Bohemian. It's quite beautiful with a heavy glass center that appears to be ruby red(I think, rather than"flashed" red) which is cut to clear in a geometric pattern. The fittings appear to be brass and the base/ foot is marble(with felt lining on bottom. A fairly large piece. The glass measures approximately 6" in diameter. The base is about 5" square. Not counting ... morethe finial, it is 18 1/4" tall. This piece appears to be in generally excellent used/old condition and- as you can see in the next to last pic- it works great. I don't see any cracks or damage on the cord. Either. However, I can not remove the harp. and I am not going to try to force it. The only damage I see is some green on the stem- discoloration or just needs cleaning/ polishing? Please do examine the pictures carefully but note that any bright white and/or yellow spots on pics are just glare/flash! this is a very rare antique copper and brass converted oil lamp. it has exquisite ornate victorian design. With very intense detailing. it has highly embossed copper designs that run around the base of the lamp. it has beautiful trim. Base and feet. the upper oil container is a large insert. That sits recessed in the base. it was converted to be electric and works great. it can be converted back if desired, it has an on/ off switch on the base. it is in great shape and has a nice patina from age. it measures 12 3/4 x 11 inches. very rare lamp. Ma.It has its original power cord that is in very nice condition. it has the original Leviton inline on/off roller type switch on the cord that is also in excellent condition. the Leviton bulb socket is labelled Stiffel. Gorgeous & Rare ANTIQUE Cast Pressed BRASS TABLE LAMP Orchard Scene FINE DETAIL
This is an absolutely gorgeous antique lamp. The brass body panel has an orchard scene with people finely dressed. Topiary trees, birds, and floral wreaths. It is stunning. I don't know if they would have cast the metal or pressed the pattern in. The collar is also finely detailed with a floral pattern and the on/off switch is also brass and turns. The harp and finial are also brass. The overall measurement is 24.75 inches tall. Lamp has a cloth cord and would benefit from rewiring but it does work currently. The"key" opposite the on off knob does turn but is decorative as far as I can tell. Large Vintage-Antique Ornate Embossed India Brass Table Lamp
Listed is a very unusual large table lamp. There are no identifying marks on the lamp. But to me it just looks like India. It seems to be made of brass(not attracted by magnet) It is highly embossed with flowers and vines and other decor. It stands 41" to the top of the shade hanger. It is 30" to top of brass and 13" in diameter. There is no shade included but is equipped with shade hanger. The lamp works and appears to be in good condition. Offered for consideration is a heavy solid cast brass table lamp with a segmented column design mounted on a carved ebonized wood base. The piece is heavy and well made. The base is in excellent vintage condition with no cracks and no dents. The brass exhibits a wonderful rich patina. Random color variation and light verdigris along some of the seams. This is old brass and shows some light scratching and old polishing swirl marks. Any"white spots" in the photos are reflections of light and not damage. Antique Brass Table Lamp-- Gargoyle Heads
Beautiful. Old brass lamp. This works fine(see photo) It has various discolorations and minor staining in several places on the body of the lamp. But there are no nicks, cracks, chips, etc. and nothing is broken. Wiring is a fabric cord which is frayed- appears to be original. The actual bulb fixtures have been replaced at some point in time- not original. This lamp is 42" high. With a green felt base(see photo) The"pan" at the base of the white, metal"candlestick" portion of the lamp is engraved, and just below that there are two gargoyle heads with long tongues coming from their mouths, forming two handles. The lamp is heavy and well-made. It belonged to my grandmother. She had it in her home for many years. And it probably dates to the 30s or 40s, although exact provenance is unknown. This wonderful antique solid brass/ bronze small table lamp had been in my grandparents home for my whole life(over 65 years) It at one time had a mica shade on it. But, that has long ago gone missing. I am pretty darn sure that it has never been polished, as it has the original dark patina. It has the weight of a bronze lamp, and could be bronze. Sort of reminds you of an Aladdins lamp at the top. It stands 10 1/2" tall not including the Arrow socket. It is 7 1/2" wide at the bottom. I think the lamp is from the early 1900's and has a pull chain for turning on/off. I was hoping this lamp would have a signature from a company like Bradley& Hubbard since the larger lamp in the room was from that company. But. Dings, cracks or evident repair. 12" TALL ANTIQUE CHIMNEY LAMP.very good condition This early 1900's vintage gold painted brass electric table lamp has been cleaned and is still in very good condition. Second photo shows light on with 15 watt bulb. Included. No dents or cracks or chips anywhere on the lamp base or the glass. The base is all original with a 10 ft cord, plug should be replaced. Base is painted gold and shows a crackle aged finish. The chimney appears more modern, but any 3" diameter glass shade should fit. Antique White Table Lamp with Lions Heads Brass Pulls Working
This listing is for a wonderful antique lamp with a heavy white china base decorated with a floral pattern and lions heads. The lamp is in working condition. It is missing the finial and there is wear to the metal parts and crazing on the china from age. The entire piece measures about 21" tall. The white part of the base measures 11" high and 8" wide.
