They are hand painted in brown on the unique design. The inside top of the shade is rough with what seem like chips but it is the craftsmansh i p of these old shades. The base of the lamp has a ribbed scrolling design with swags of flowers decorating the base. The lamp base has two sockets with pull chains. The shade is quite large and features a total of 16 slag glass panels. The larger glass panels are a dark purple with rainbow swirls along with a marbled light blue panels. The upper panels are quite an unusual and rare color. The overlay work on the shade has a scalloped edge and panels with winged figures ... moreon bottom panels. This large scale vintage Conch Shell Light is comprised of a large shell which is mounted/affixed to a base which is part of another shell. The large shell is carved/incised with a design which features a Dragon and a Phoenix Bird. This lamp has red colored eyes for the dragon and Phoenix bird. There is a hole drilled in the back of the large shell. Inside there is a socket at the end of the wire to insert a bulb. Antique Vintage Oil Lamp And 2 Frosted Glass Shades
NO RESERVE AUCTION for antique green glass oil lamp and a pair of stunning shades. These are not matched item- the lamp likely had a regular glass oil lamp shade on it. The 2 shades are pink and powder-blue. With very minor chips to the color at the bottom edge of the pink one, and a spot of black'smudge' on the bottom of the blue one. Not sure what the black is(tar maybe) but have not attempted to clean it off in case I damaged the shade. They have matching beautiful raised patterns on the surface of a vine with berries and leaves. The lamp is about 11inch tall. The shades are approx. 6.5 inch diameter and 8.5 inch tall. The glass shades could be adapted and used on a modern light fitting. Enjoy!

Authentic Victorian Era Antique Miniature Oil Lamp 6 1/2" Tall Great Condition
I will be listing more items of milk glass from the same estate collection. If you find more than one item you like. I'll happily combine shipping. This is a very pretty little oil lamp. It has the top. That screws down into the base. It has brass metal hardware, a milk glass base, and a clear glass chimney which looks and fits like it may be original to the lamp. The milk glass is very good condition with no damage. The only issue the oil lamp has is paint loss where the raised areas once were painted. There is no maker mark or mold mark on the glass and no marks on the brass. It stands approx. 6 1/2 inches tall to the top of the chimney. Barsony Era Lamp 2 Little Black Boys
Up for sale is a Barsony era/style lamp. A beautiful lamp base featuring 2 little black boys with one holding a red ball. The front of the base is black and white striped and sides and back are black. The lamp has some general paint missing which you can see in the photos. It is like the paint has just flaked away. There 2 chips on the back of the lamp one on the edge and one on the edge of the hole for the cord. The wiring has been removed but would be easy enough to have rewired. My guess would be it is from the 1960's. It is a beautiful lamp as it is and would look stunning with the right shade. It stands 20cm high and 11 and 1/2 cm wide at its widest point. For pattern, reference Thuro's book 2"Oil Lamps II" pub. 1983/90, p 101 fig g for a flat hand lamp, and p. 104 fig g for a stand lamp. Not sure who made this lamp. Have seen it in clear, and the minature versions with nbr. 1 burners or smaller burners. This is the only milk glass one I've seen, so I know it is hard to find. The lamp is about 9.125" to the collar, and 19.5" with the chimney and burner. I added the petticoat shade later based on a comment from my wife. The petticoat shade is about 2.56" tall and 8.75" wide. All of the glass is in excellent condition. When I purchased it many years ago, the collar was loose, so I re-plastered it later. The way things are today are much different from the mid 1900's, so it may not be useful how it was made for what it was intended for, but i'm sure you can find a useful way of using it. Even if you don't use it, it's still a pretty neat lamp just to have! I don't really see any out there that look or work like this lamp does. In excellent working condition. Gently pull one cord to turn on and as you keep pulling the cord. The light gets brighter& brighter until its fully bright. It can be left half way pulled and the light will be dim or where ever you set the cord at, will be the amount of light desired. Here's another feature I have never seen before) I think it's kinda cool) It also features a red gel shutter shade. Simply turn the knob on the right side of lamp clockwise/counter clockwise and the red gel shutter shade will appear and disappear. This is actually a very nice vintage table lamp Unknown maker Two handled urn style It is 11" tall to the top of the socket I would suggest rewiring the cord it is very old There is a repair on one handle. You can see in the picture and a small chip on the handle in the back. Still a very nice older piece of pottery. My descriptions are always to the best of my knowledge about the item up for auction. Wonderful Antique Brass Lamp Base w/ 2 Bulb Holders facing different directions
This is a beautiful antique brass lamp base from the 1930's 24 1/2" tall with a 9" black shiny base. It weighs 6 lbs. There are screw in bulb holders about and inch from the top of where the lamp shade(yours) screws in. They both face different directions for full lighting.
