Here is a wonderful circa 1850's tall brass 3-burner whale oil lamp with its original dark patina. It measures 25 1/2" tall x 6 1/4" wide at base. It is in all original condition with a crack in the brass to the lid of the burner(see pictures) It has one loose candle snuffer that was found inside. This one has a very nice scalloped chippendale style base which is more unusual. The stem is a bit bent. But this could be fixed. Pictures should tell the story. Antique Victorian Duplex Brass Double Student Oil Lamp Electric Original Globes
Hi. You are bidding on the most beautiful lamp. It is a Duplex student oil lamp that was converted to electric. You can see by the cord and plug that it is one of the oldest electric lamps you will ever see. It has been tested and did work when I bought it but the cord is super old. I would get a second opinion before you use the cord. The globes are LOVELY and even more beautiful in person. They are in good condition with no nicks or cracks. The globes measure approximately ten inches across at the bottom and 4.5 inches or so on the top. The entire lamp is 27 inches when measured from base to top of chimneys. I believe the chimneys are also original in that they look like old glass and they are the exact measurements of the original chimneys. One of the chimneys has some roughness around the base where it goes into the metal but it is not ... morechipped. If you collect these antique lamps. I think you are going to love this one. There are problems, but minimal. I see that there is one lamp socket that is sort of tipped to one side. There is some difficulty getting the round base for the chimney into the larger frame for the glass globe. But I think that all of these issues are probably just a part of owning a lamp like this. antique big bradley hubbard brass copper ornate oil electric table lamp light
this is a very rare antique copper and brass converted oil lamp. it has exquisite ornate victorian design. With very intense detailing. it has highly embossed copper designs that run around the base of the lamp. it has beautiful trim. Base and feet. the upper oil container is a large insert. That sits recessed in the base. it was converted to be electric and works great. it can be converted back if desired, it has an on/ off switch on the base. it is in great shape and has a nice patina from age. it measures 12 3/4 x 11 inches. very rare lamp. ORNATE BRASS ANTIQUE OIL KEROSENE STUDENT LAMP MILLER? FOR RESTORATION
Sorry. No International Shipping. Please note that our photos are below the item description. This antique student lamp is in need of restoration. It has been electrified at some time in the past. Luckily the wire came out of the burner section and no other holes or alterations were made in the lamp. In the 5th row of photos you can see the slight separation in the ribbing at the bottom where the wire came out. Other minor problems are there is some solder at the top of the oil tank with some very minor metal fatigue at the top. There is a dent on the inside of the oil tank also shown in the 5th row of photos. Obviously the burner has also been altered. There are no other dents. Splits or damages on the lamp. The lamp is made of solid brass(except for the weight in the base) and would polish up beautifully if that was your desire. Although ... morewe cannot find any maker's mark we believe the lamp to be made by the Miller Lamp Company. It stands 21 1/2" tall, is 14 1/2" wide and weighs 8 1/2 pounds. Antique Vintage Hanging Oil Lamp Connverted Top and Bottom Light Up Brass Glass
Nice old oil lamp that was converted to electric. The top and/or bottom light up. There is a small chip to the top rim of the glass shade and very minor spots of wear to the brass. There are 18 glass prisms. It measures 10 inches wide and 20 inches high. It is set up to be wired directly to the ceiling and it hangs down 12 inches from the ceiling however you could add two chains if you wanted it to hang lower. I just hung it from a bungee cord to take pictures.

This auction is for a superb quality. Hand blown, heavy cut glass/crystal oil lamp font that comes with a brass oil lamp burner 1.5"3.8cm screw collar. This has not been fitted. Victorian in date. The font weighs 600g unpacked. It measures 5.5"14cm diameter across the top and stands just under 4.5"11cm tall. It can either be free standing or sit in a 5.25"13.3cm drop in ring. Condition is excellent. It appears not to have been used much if at all. The foot shows very light signs of wear(see pic) and there are no chips or cracks. I have pictured two marks in the glass from when the font was originally blown. These are not chips or cracks. You are bidding on a large brass oil lamp column base. The column is fluted supporting a decorative capital which has a beaded top and threaded inset for the under font. The internal diameter of the thread is 7/8” The column is supported on a conical beaded/stepped base which is decorated with deep raised folate decoration. Normal 0 21 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 A beautiful romantic French antique brass and faience(probably Choisy-le-Roi) oil lamp with a charming detailed design of cherubs and floral decoration on a cream background. It is mounted on a very ornate brass stand and dates from around the late 19th century(Napoleon III period) The'Kosmos' burner was produced by Wild& Wessel. A German manufacturer, between 1865 and 1899. The reservoir hasn't been tested and if you are likely to use this as an oil lamp, I strongly advise you to check that it doesn't leak before lighting it. The actual screw mechanism works well and is running freely; it is not showing any signs of blockage. It does not have its glass funnel although these are fairly easy to come by. There is a tiny bit of rust underneath the brass stand(see photos) ... moreThe pattern has been transfer printed onto the ceramic body and has then been hand coloured and then glazed. There is the same design on both sides of the lamp depicting cherubs/angels/putti/amours with a woodland floral theme. There is some staining on one side of the faience commensurate with its age and use and one tiny firing fault(see photos) As shown in one picture. 1898 Edward Miller Brass Ornate Banquet Converted Oil Lamp with Fenton Shade
This is an Awesome RARE Find! A 1898 E. M. Co. Apollo Dual Burner" Very Ornate Serpent Footed Oil Lamp that has been Converted to Electric and Matched with a Fenton Milk Glass and Blue Ruffle Edged Hobnail Shade. I researched this and only found the burner itself on Treasurenet. com- its authentic but the crown for the wicks has been burrowed out to include the lighting mechanism and the wick turner as shown in picture#11 is only cosmetic right now. The Apollo Dual Burner Brass Body is beyond Spectacular. The craftsmanship is like none other I have seen. It has 3 serpent feet on Crowned Pillars that attached to a heavily patterned Body that can be turned. Etched deep into the pewter colored Burner Body's Bottom Half are leaves and raised swirls( picture 4) Rims of circular star bursts and in its center, on ALL 3 Sides is a LIONS ... moreHEAD( see picture 5) The Top Half has beautiful circles of raised Leaves and then Spades, set off with ornate rims on the top and bottom of this half of the burner. The actual burner of this 1898 Oil Lamp has been converted to electric- I have taken a detailed picture- 8. That shows the former rims for the oil burner and chimney holder. In the conversion process, an owner added a chain pull to switch the light on and off. This does impede the placement of a chimney as it will cover the pull chain. I have placed a 7 1/2 inch clear chimney inside the GORGEOUS FENTON HOBNAIL Shade. It is a Milk Glass Beauty with widely spaced Hobnails and an Ornate sky blue Turned Down Ruffle Edge with a 4 7/8 inch rimmed bottom that fits nicely into the 5 1/8 inch metal burner rim. This lamp stands approximately 15 1/2 inches tall including the shade and it is 9 inches tall from the serpent feet to the top of the lighting mechanism. It is in wonderful condition. Antique Duplex banquet Parlor Piano Brass Lamp oil Cast Iron Floor satin shade
I have lots of vintage lighting items listed and more added all the time. This is a great lamp with a beautiful satin glass shade and the shade has no chips or cracks it will have wear and some ring roughness that they all have. The outer shade does have the original brass ring at the top which the inner shade sticks up through. This like most of these has been electrified so you can safely use it today. Some people do convert these back to oil burning and you would have to replace a few pieces to do that but not that hard you can buy the burners and parts on ebay. This has normal wear you would expect but for being from the late 1800s is fantastic and has very cool claw feet on the base. The inner clear glass sahde may not be the original I really don't know it's just clear glass so who knows the outer shade is old you can easily ... moretell its age. The lamp will be taken apart for safe shipping and the shade will be double boxed. Shipping to lower 48 only and no overseas. Antique Brass Hitchcock Lovell and Co 1888 Eagle Oil Lamp
I don't know much about antique brass oil lamps. But from what I can gather from online research, this fits the bill. The embossing says"Hitchcock Lamp Lovell and Company 1888" It also has an eagle between the"18" and the"88" I don't know what kind of condition this lamp is in. The only areas of concern are around the base, some dents or distortions. They are not very noticeable from a distance, and most definitely do not take away from the overall gestalt of the item. There is a small crack near the top around the flame guard about 1/2" long. The embossing is faded. The word"Hitchcock" is somewhat faded, and the"L" in"Lovell" has faded. Up for bid a beautiful antique opaline oil lamp it's a banquet style the font and the bottom part has a bronze on the center. It has cherry blossom embossed floral motifs the burner is eagle and it measures 20 or 19.5 to burner and with the chimney it's 28in the bottom is solid brass very heavy with footed and it's about 7inches and the font is 21inches around, it's in great condition I bought it several years ago on ebay. 1893 Rochester Mammoth Oil Kerosene Brass Hanging Lamp w Iron Hanger Description: Lamp metal font section embossed brass. Hanger bracket appears to be a combination of cast and wrought iron. A similar lamp was advertised as a Number 10 in the 1893 catalog issued by the Rochester Lamp Company. New York. Good condition overall but there is a dent in the one side of the fuel tank. Dent is mostly hidden when inserted into the hanger. More details below. All glass pieces are in fine condition with no damage. Frosted chimney measures 12 inches tall overall with a 4 inch diameter mounting area. Upper and bottom rims are both cut but the upper is way thicker than the bottom edge. 7 inch tall milk glass shade measures 11-3/4 inches in diameter at the bottom rim and 4.5 inches in diameter at the top. Both ends of the shade are rough cut. Similar shades ... moreand lamps were also marketed by the Royal Lamp Company. New York. The hanger is included but it's slightly different than the one illustrated in the 1893 catalog. It has some rust and flaking paint. The brass font parts are in nice original condition. There is a dent which likely needs repair prior to holding fuel. IT seems complete other than there is no wick or smoke bell. Tank section measures 8.5 inches in diameter and 11 inches from the bottom up to the fitter ring. Fitter ring has a silver colored screw that works but is may not be original. Overall measurements of the harp section with lamp font inserted is 35.5 inches. That does not include the 44 inches of chain. Has not been restored. Polished, or converted to electricity. Antique Converted Brass Whale Oil Lamp From what information I could gather this WAS a real whale oil lamp at one time that has been converted into an electrical lamp. If I am NOT correct then it is an OLD replica of a whale oil lamp. Either way. Ti is very old. There is another listed on EBay for $99 with a damaged shade. My shade is in very good condition(with normal wear and tear you would expect from an item of it's age. I think it's a lovely piece. Sorry but I didn't notice that the shade was crooked until after I had already put the lamp and the camera up!
