Acquired many years ago from an elderly gentleman who indicated that this was a lamp and had fallen off a table and the tube arrangement that concealed the cord broke off(you can see the hole where the tube was attached) He also said there had been an Arabi an man in a chair mounted on the carpet(you can see where parts were soldered) He had lost or thrown out the parts and this is what remained. You can see a chest with a scimitar and also a moorish style table with bottle type container. The base is not completely level and may have been bent a little when dropped. It is approx 7 3/4" square x 4" tall at the top of the bottle or decanter on the ... moretable. We can not find markings identifying the maker, but the piece is dirty and perhaps something could be foun d. My opinion is that the glass is Bohemian. It's quite beautiful with a heavy glass center that appears to be ruby red(I think, rather than"flashed" red) which is cut to clear in a geometric pattern. The fittings appear to be brass and the base/ foot is marble(with felt lining on bottom. A fairly large piece. The glass measures approximately 6" in diameter. The base is about 5" square. Not counting ... morethe finial, it is 18 1/4" tall. This piece appears to be in generally excellent used/old condition and- as you can see in the next to last pic- it works great. I don't see any cracks or damage on the cord. Either. However, I can not remove the harp. and I am not going to try to force it. The only damage I see is some green on the stem- discoloration or just needs cleaning/ polishing? Please do examine the pictures carefully but note that any bright white and/or yellow spots on pics are just glare/flash! Light bluish. It needs rewiring and has a visible crack at the top of the glass base. It has birds on its base, peacocks, herons and phoenix I believe. It appears possibly 1950's to me, almost has a deco look to it. Thought this one was worth salvaging because of it's unique appearance. Also has ornate metal brass colored base. Estate Find ~ Vintage 40" Tall Capodimonte CAMEO Lamp Filigree Cherub Foot Base

A vintage Capodimonte lamp with two cameo faces(one on each side) and a filigree brass? metal base joined at each corner with cherubs and garland wreath work. This is a large size lamp measuring approx. 40-1/2" total height. The lamp without the finial measures about 37" high. To give you an idea of size on the porcelain part the width from handle to handle is approx. 10" the cameo face portion measures approx. 8" across. Measuring the base to the top of the porcelain is 20-3/4" without the brass stem and light fixture. I am not an expert on items we sell but I will describe what I see when I look at the item so you can put that information with the photos. I took several angles of the lamp so you could get ... morea good look at all sides. It's a beauty. Make sure you see them all. This is a striking lamp that would make any decorator drool. The Capodimonte center is all open work. The cameo portraits are one on the front and a different one on the back so you can change it around to suit your decorating needs. Each of the cameo portraits have what looks like a 24K gold background. The filigree has beautiful aged patina coloring and 4 cherub angel figures. Ready to use, just pick out a shade you like and your ready to plug this lamp in. The electrical cord is clean and unfrayed, the light works when plugged in. This lamp is very sturdy and nicely weighted so it will not easily tip over on your table. This is a quality made piece ~ take a look. Condition is very good. There are NO cracks or chips in the porcelain. The metal is not broken and has a lovely patina tone. The Cherubs have NO broken fingers or missing pieces! This Table LAMP has a bulbous base that has a small fixture for a bulb inside the Glass seahorse part to show it off. the upper also has a socket for a bulb but needs a beautiful shade. this lamp is so striking to the naked eye. Lamp looks like a Galle style lamp. But does not have a galle signature so may be a reproduction of one. There are couple spots in the metal frame that have started to separate(pictured below) From what I have read this is normal for these types of lamps. Also one of the ball pull chains does not have the"catch" to keep the light on. This should be a simple fix. The slag glass paint has not faded. The base has 3 slag glass panels. All of the panels fit securely on the lamp. The gold coloring cast iron(I believe is cast iron) has started to fade in some places. We believe the lamp was made by Pittsburgh. The lamp shade measure's 18" in width and 7" in height. The base measure's 7-1/2" The total height of the lamp is 23" One of the clips that hold a slag panel in on the shade is missing. The best I can make out is Plux. You can tell the light socket part is new& the plug at the end of the cord is new. It is in excellent shape and a beautiful lamp. Only the felt on the base is ripped and has a 1-¼ x 2-¼ piece tore out. Thought about keep it for myself. I will not ship with a light. All descriptions given are our honest opinion. Porcelain Vintage Hand Painted Table Lamp Brass Base Bernini Fish Feet
We have for your consideration a beautiful vintage hand painted porcelain large lamp. With a decorative base of brass and four fish feet. The porcelain has an array of pink, yellow& blue flowers on a white base, with gold trim decorations and small cut outs. I replaced the electrical. But not the cord. It works great with the new three way switch. The lamp is 35 1/2" tall. Brass base 7" Our handling fees are used for the cost of shipping material only. We use extra packing material. (2) Vintage Trench Art Lamps made from M43 81mm Mortar Rounds on Piston Base
Here is your chance to pick up(2) trench art lamps made in the 1940's. The are made from(2) M43 81 MM Mortar Shells and the bases are pistons from the same time period. These are REAL Mortar Rounds that were made safe and used to make these lamps. The rounds have been chromed to match the piston base. I cannot identify the pistons but they are probably from a military vehicle from the 1940's and are in good shape. Both lamps work and both are in great shape. These were made really well and I have provided pictures showing the holes made for the electrical cord as well as the vintage power cord end. The mortar rounds are marked Lot 15- 47- 3FA 81 MM M43 EDB and were roll marked as they did in the 40's. The lamps are 15 inches tall and the piston base is 6 inches wide. Here is a little information on the M43 81MM Mortar: The first ... moreattempt to obtain more efficient trench mortar ammunition was with the development of the 75-mm smooth bore mortar in which the old 75-mm French type shell was modified by tapering the shell from the bourrelet back to the base. And fitting an aluminum fin in the base of the shell. The round was propelled by means of an ignition cartridge inserted in a short cartridge case, and with propelling increments inserted between the blades of the fin. The stability of the round was not satisfactory, and the development was abandoned. A streamlined projectile with fin assembly was then designed for the 3-inch trench mortar with poor results. Several attempts were made with shell of different contours, but proved unsatisfactory because proper stability was not obtained. After World War I. There was an early trend away from the low powered, muzzle-loading Stokes mortar to breech and rifled mortars which were mounted on wheels. The muzzle velocity, the range, and the weight increased, but in so doing, the effectiveness of the trench mortar was decreased in that it lost its simplicity. Up for bid is a stunning vintage lamp with white milk glass shade. And illuminating base. The bottom is an ornate brass foot. There are blue flowers painted on both the shade and the base. Minor scuffs from use and age. If need just the bases. You could cleanly remove the pipes with a hack saw. 10 3/4 inches total height. Bases are 3 1/2 inches in diameter. The pipes are 7 inches to the bend and are offset about 1 to 1 1/4 inches. Almost 9 inches from the brass seat to the bottom of the socket base.
