Pre-Columbian Face Portrait Head Trophy vessel w TL Test Doc! ceramic terracotta
Great cup in the form of trophies head. The special thing. And for that Moche ceramics are known, the representations of real character. The right eye looks normal, the left looks like it would be blind and covered by a cap. Or there is a breach by a fight. What is known, however, that physical abnormalities were honored and presented in part as a sign from the gods. The head has a nice haircut and earplugs, behind the ears are still remains of a helmet or similar. The processing is relatively massive and coarse, a typical sign of the late Moche. Small discontinuations(nose, edge of spout) bumps on the surface, otherwise in good condition age related. Due to its relation to the real brutal life of a deformed head has these ceramics a very rare and own charisma, a real collectable! See the price inclusive the lab test. Unbeatable! pre columbian Figure ritual vessel rattle wTL test Doc! ceramic Chimu Inca
You have the opportunity to bid on a wonderful ritual rattle cup. Certainly hereby fertility rituals or smoke ceremonies were performed. Fluids were probably not in this mug because there is a sieve inside; Fertility rituals because of the clearly recognizable female characteristics between the legs of the figure. Since the figure is holding her belly. It could also be a pregnant woman; the most evil ceremony would be the sacrifice of the newborn; are known sacrifices of small children. A really nice vessel in good condition and good detail; but the mythological background of the ceramic has a huge appeal and is getting very rare in this form! For me. Pre Columbian Mayan Ceramic Tripod Bowl With Cattle Legs Costa Rica
You are bidding on a pre columbian mayan ceramic tripod bowl with cattle legs. The bowl measures 5 1/2 inches wide and a little under 3 1/2 inches tall. The bowl is painted red and black. This bowl is one of the nicest painted pieces I have in the collection. You can still see almost the brush strokes on the bowls inner side. This item is very very old and 100% authentic. There are no physical breaks in the item at all. If you shake the item. You can hear something moving inside. Almost as if there is a piece if pottery loose in one of the legs or someone buried a lovely treasure inside of it, that would only be found if the item was broken. This item also belongs in a museum. Good luck and happy bidding on this lovely treasure. TKT Posted with

Pre-Columbian bottle vessel Spider paintings wTL test ceramic Pottery Moche RARE
It's an art to produce such a uniform shape without a potter's wheel. Sideways there are small lugs for hanging the ceramic. The spout is cylindrical and long. But what are really fascinated me the paintings: very similar paintings can be found on the reliefs of the Huaca de la Luna. One of the wonderful temple of the Moche in northern Peru. One is a hybrid of snake with fox head(Foxes announce by cries of rain) the other shows spider creatures, the sign of the warrior caste of the temple. Most form from Moche ceramics animals or human forms, but bottle shapes with such rare paintings are hard to find. The condition is due to age, scratches, discoloration, small imperfections on the surface. A great vessel! See the price inclusive the lab test. Unbeatable! Pre-Columbian Figure Vessel Nazca Priest wTL test Doc! Ceramic Pottery Terracott
For offer is a handle vessel in the form of a human figure. It represents a priest in robes with a high headdress and necklace. The arms and hands are painted and act supernaturally large. Which suggests that it could also be a healer. Although the age of the Nazca ceramics falls in the time, the Wari influence can be seen already. At spout a fragment is missing(see picture) and a crack cut thereby around the face; age-related abrasions and color. Otherwise in good condition. Great paint pre-Columbian bottle vessel wTL test Doc! Ceramic Pottery Lambayeque
Very nice strap handle vessel in a spherical shape with a long tapered spout; the foot is also conical and decorated in relief; the patterns show temple or Andean stairs. Pre-Columbian MAYAN CERAMIC BOWL LEG 2-5/8" h. PAINTED ANIMAL FACE Ppd-USA!
Pre-Columbian MAYAN CERAMIC BOWL LEG 2-5/8" h. PAINTED ANIMAL FACE. ONE Pre-Columbian MAYAN CERAMIC BOWL LEG 2-5/8" h. PAINTED ANIMAL FACE. With red, cream and black painted facial designs. Has raised eyes and nose, mouth is open on the sides but closed at the end as this is where the bowl leg would rest on the surface. Top of the head is open as that is where it was connected to the bowl base; there is a hole on the back of the head as it is hollow and this is the opening. Solid ceramic objects tend to explode or at least break due to steam pressure when being"cooked" Frequently the legs are broken off vessels if the legs contain a rattle so they check to see if the rattles are gold balls. Appears to be Copador style from El Salavador and southern Honduras with a preponderance of red coloration. From the Classic period ... moreof about 300-900AD. pre columbian Book Ceramic Pottery Bible Ecuador w/special features very RARE
You have the opportunity to bid on a very nice and informative reference book. Actually. A wonderful book about the pre-Columbian Ecuador and its pre-Columbian treasures(many Ceramic, a little Shells and Stone) The book has some very interesting features. All items in the catalog are described individually and in detail and at length at the end of the book. And can be used as a reference. For me personally, there is a very special features, a traditional and made by scientists Chronology. And a chronology TL(TL = laboratory test to determine the burning age) Here there are significant differences that provide the data given the professionals in question. An example: Machallila, experts indicated by 1500-900BC, TL test results of 2600-600BC. In my opinion you can reproduce this on all areas of pre-Columbian ceramics and one should not look ... moreso stiff the classification of the times of the cultures. Books on the pre-Columbian Ecuador and its cultures are very very rarely offered and I have here the only thing I've ever had in my hands. For lovers of this pre-Columbian area a real reference book with great pictures and descriptions. With all Cultures of the ancient Ecuador Softcover very good condition 1.4kg(3 Pounds) heavy(Sorry. pre Columbian very old Chavin stirrup vessel wTL test Doc! Ceramic pottery veryR
Very old and very nice typical Chavin stirrup vessel. It is interesting to elaborate with thousands of small scribe signs bumpered surface. The scribe characters form even lines and circle pattern, only the bottom of the spout and the bottom of the stirrup have no signs. In addition, dimples were applied to form a geometric shape, triangles or squares. The knobs are probably eyes, pointing in the four cardinal directions, long before the Incas divided their kingdom in four directions! The scribe characters look like scars from the pimples like suction cups octopus. The vessel body was broken and was assembled professionally. pre-Columbian bird man figure ceramic wTL test Doc! Mayan pottery Priest RARE
You are bidding on a ceramic of the Maya culture in the form of a bird. It is also possible that it is a bird man. A priest in the bird costume. Striking is the upscale head, a position of power, and the large comb headdress. The massive bill is the reference to a bird of prey. Originally a pipe, through the centuries a hole on the belly is created. The surface is changed due to age, scratches and crashes. Maya ceramics are highly sought after, partly because many have not received as many ceramics, as in the Peruvian cultures that are part of the basic climatic conditions and often sacrificed to the Mayan ceramics by ritual destruction.
