The spoon, probably meant as a fruit spoon,is about 6 inches long, and has no monograms or personal inscriptions. The basin depicts the City Gates of St Augustine, Fla, founded in 1565. here we have 2 old antique sterling silver spoon and fork made by Watson& Newell Co 1896 Mechanics Sterling Co. Attleboro. they both are very heavy thick& very solid trong pieces very well made not thin with lots of high embossed designs as shown. the fork it self is 50.0 grams spoon it self is 35.2 grams combined togeather 82.2 grams in total. i did not clean them at all still have original patina. please have a look at my others i do combined shipping thank you

Antique Sterling Silver Souviner Spoon- from the state of California. The bowl is decorated with engraved relief of San Francisco Golden Gate. The shaft is detailed and decorated with a Bear. Stage coach, raised Grape clusters and Orange, followed by an Angel. The back has the seal of California, Eureka, Grape clusters and leaves, and Miner with a pick axe, dated 1849. It is 5 3/4" long. Stamped Watson and Newell Co. hallmark. It is in very good condition.

Antique Sterling Silver Baby Spoon 1900's Watson & Newell Massachusetts Unique
A rare handle design-Marked PAT Oct. 11. 99 by the Watson& Newell Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts. The hallmark is a pennant that looks like a Harvard pennant with an H on it. However, according to research, the company foundrs owners didn't go to Harvard. So the H remains a hallmark mystery. No monogram and in excellent condition with normal scratches probably from little teeth on the bowl. Ready to begin a new history with a new addition to the family. The company was restructured in 1920 and eventually acquired by the Wallace Company in 1955, This unique handle design incorporates a charming cherub and fine detailing. Marked sterling in two places. This is a baby spoon to be passed on and won't be forgotten in a kitchen drawer.

Couer D' Alene Idaho Souvenir Sterling Silver Collectors Spoon Watson and Newell
Up for auction is a Sterling Silver Souvenir Collectors Spoon with Couer D' Alene etched in the spoon bowl. On the handle is embossed the State crest. A sheaf of Wheat, IDAHO, an apple branch with Apples on it, a couple of stalks of Wheat an what looks to be Alfalfa. It is also embossed on the back of the handle with a Teepee, a Canoe, a crossed Tomahawk and Paddle, a Native Pipe and what appears to be a Rattle. Then it has a flag with an H on it and the word Sterling. I believe this is the rare Mechanics Sterling co. subsidiary of Watson& Newell company sterling silver spoon. I am not an expert on silver companies so please do your own research. I believe the flag with the H is the symbol for this company. By the age of the rest of the collection of spoons I own I believe this is from the late 1800s and perhaps as late as 1910. Be ... moreaware that I am not certain of age of this spoon.
