This sterling silver teaspoon measures 5-11/16" and is in excellent condition with no dings. Monograms or excessive wear. The spoon is clearly marked STERLING and has the mark for the Mermod Jaccard& Co. A well respected jeweler in St. Louis, MO. Condition: Excellent! There are no dings or bends. Any dark or overly bright spots are reflections from the camera or the lights and are not on the spoon. The Louisiana Purchase Exposition. Informally known as the St. Louis World's Fair. The bas-relief(embossed) handle begins with what looks like three old fashioned roses. Beneath the roses are two side-by-side ovals about 1 inch wide containing busts of Napoleon Bonaparte(left) and Thomas Jefferson(right) the two signatories for the sale. In 1803, of France's Louisiana Territory(all 828,000 square miles of it) to the United States for $15 million dollars(around $4 an acre) Each of the portraits are surrounded by laurel wreaths. Beneath the portraits is a bas-relief crown above a shield with three Fleur de Lis. Under that is stacked lettering reading ST. Impressed on the bowl it reads"SAGINAW" On the front side of the handle are the Masonic symbols and it reads 100F. On the back of handle inscribed is"1903- Louise" Also impressed on the handle is the Maker's Mark- Sterling. The spoon was manufactured by Paye& Baker Mfg. Co. of Noth Attleboro. Mass. which started in 1901 and operated till 1960. Teaspoon has been cleaned but not polished. Condition is very good but being an antique it shows minimal signs of age and use. No problems.

This is a beautiful STERLING SILVER spoon that is basically flawless. It is in wonderful condition. The GOLD VERMEIL BOWL does not have any scratches or other flaws. There are a couple of tiny nicks on the shaft. At the top of the spoon is an ENAMEL INSERT with FLOWERS and a BLUE background. It too has no scratches or flaws. Underneath the FLOWER is the word FEBRUARY. The spoon is stamped STERLING and has a maker's mark for PAYE& BAKER. It is 5.375 INCHES long and weighs 18 GRAMS.

This listing is for a Sterling Silver Souvenir Spoon. The spoon features the State of Michigan with the name Vassar in the bowl. Should refer to Vassar Michigan. Has what appears to be the state motto at the top of the handle. Also shows an empty chair,a miner with a pick, and a track going into what could be a factory. Spoon measures approx 5 3/8 inchs.
