Sterling Silver 1906 Niagara Falls Souvenir Spoon with American Indian Chief
This spoon is in BEAUTIFUL shape. From what I understand this spoon is from 1906 though it is not marked anywhere on the spoon. At the top of the handle is an Indian chief. Below him are corn stalks followed by a bow and arrows. On the bowl of the spoon is an etching of the Niagara Falls with'Niagara Falls' at the top of the bowl. On the back of the handle is a tepee, canoe, hatchet and oar, a baby and a smoking pipe. The back of the bowl is blank. It is stamped Sterling and an S at the bottom of the back of the handle. This spoon measures 4 1/4" long and the bowl measures about 7/8" across. As I said, this spoon is in beautiful condition. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments. Whitney. Makers of sterling souvenir spoons. It depicts a very detailed. Extremely expressive figure of an Indian Chief, in full headdress with an American Indian Cross symbol underneath. Both front and back of the spoon are equally designed and detailed. This spoon has no markings on the bowl but does have a feint but beautifully scripted signature that reads G. H'Mas'09 on the upper portion of the spoons arm beneath the chief. It is marked on the back of the spoon. Sterling, E.A. Whitney. Offered for sale by Caspar’s Place is an Indian themed Alamo sterling silver souvenir fruit spoon by Paye and Baker. The bowl of the spoon has an engraved image of the Alamo. The spoon handle showcases both ears of corn and the profile of an Indian Chief in Head Dress. The spoon is marked with“STERLING” and with“P&B” in individual heart shaped stamps. The spoon is not monogrammed. It is in pretty good estate condition. Although with the patina of fine scratches to be expected with age and use. It also has a slight dent at the back of the end of the handle. The piece’s price reflects its condition. This Alamo souvenir fruit spoon will make a lovely addition to any silver collection. Beautiful full size sterling silver spoon from Omaha Nebraska dating back to years around 1900 featuring on the front of the handle detailed images of state seal. Black smith working iron with raised hammer, railroad train, house ship and wheat field in the background, above a banner reading EQUALITY BEFORE THE LAW, below plant and corn and NEBRASKA down the wavy handle. In the gold finished bowl it has truly most expertly hand engraved image of standing Indian chief with feather headdress holding a shield and a spear, the writing is CHIEF OMAHA. A great vintage and beautiful of high quality sterling silver spoon dating back to years around 1900 from state of Maine. The front of the spoon is featuring an image of state seal with star. Two gentleman, farmer and miner with a tree between them and elk in front, banner with wording DIRIGO and then writing MAINE, below pine combs and needles down the handle. In t he three toned(gold bronze and silver) bowl it has most expertly hand engraved image of proud Indian chief with feather headdress. The writing is RANGELEY. Sitting Bull Sterling Silver Spoon with Gun P&B Circa 1900 Antique Vintage Featuring the Armour. South Dakota Courthouse The top of the handle is the image of Sitting Bull as he holds a gun while the other hand holds his side(he was shot in.The side) Below him is a tomahawk, peace pipe, spear and corn flowing down the handle. The bowl of the spoon has the Armour, South Dakota Courthouse. On the back, it is marked STERLING with the makers mark P& B within embossed hearts for Paye and Baker MFG. CO. Measures 5.5 inches. I believe this is quite rare since I only found one other even slightly similar spoon. I am no expert on souvenir spoons. This belonged to my husband's grandparents. Excellent antique condition. Beautiful sterling silver spoon from Tomah Wisconsin dating to years around 1900 featuring on the handle image of a house and writing made out of wood logs reading XTOMAH. In the bowl it has acid etched image of proud Indian chief with feather headdress and bear tooth neckless. It is 4 1/4 inch long(107 mm) and is in excellent condition. Menominee leader, ca. 1752– 1818, son of Vieux Caron and brother of Glode, whom he succeeded as war chief, 1804-1818; sympathetic to traders and settlers, Tomah refused to join uprisings against them in the American Revolution and under Tecumseh in 1811; ... morehe sided with the British during the War of 1812; his name was often anglicized as Thomas Caron. The city of Tomah was later named in his honor. He is described by Augustin Grignon in“Seventy-two years’ and by Nicolas Biddle. In March 1806, Maj. Zebulon Pike visited Tomah several times and left a record in his Account of Expeditions to the Sources of the Mississippi… Pike usually refers to him as“Thomas, the Fols Avoins chief. Pike reprints Tomah’s explanation of why he would not take sides during the American Revolution, and he gives another short speech by the Menominee chief. Other white authors who left accounts of Tomah are Samuel A. Storrow, whom Tomah guided from Green Bay to Lake Winnebago in 1817, and John Shaw, with whom Tomah canoed from Prairie du Chien to St. Louis the same year

Antique Manchester STERLING SILVER American Indian Chief. Corn SOUVENIR SPOON ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER SPOON Wonderful antique sterling silver spoon measuring 5" long. Weighing.45 ounces. Featuring an ornate handle decorated with trailing corn, crossed arrows, canoe and teepees, end is beautifully finished with the head of a Native American Indian chief in silhouette- he wears a feathered headdress, bead necklace and earrings- his face is lined, proud and strong. Back is decorated with scrolling cornstalks and bears the mark STERLING with an M flanked by two birds for Baker Manchester's logo. Condition is lovely with no chips. Bends, nicks or damage- bowl interior is not engraved- could use more of a polish as there are still tiny dark spots here and there.
