This grand panel room is from a late 1800s prominent New York City building done in Italian Renaissance. Beaux Arts style. Stanford White was among the architects that designed this building when he worked alongside Charles McKim in the influential architect firm‘McKim, Mead and White’ The paneling is solid Quatersawn oak with classical details that has been kept in astoundingly good condition. The lot consists of one and one half rooms. The main room is 403 inches x 290.5 inches. The overall height of the paneling including the baseboard and crown molding is 134 inches. The large arched details which mimic the arched windows on the opposite wall extend 48.5 inches above the crown molding. The room includes one pair of 8 ft. wide entry doors. Two single entry doors and two large windows. The windows are each 76.375 in. wide and 169 in. wide ... morewith arches extending above the top of the molding. There is an adjoining room also included in this lot which has only two walls with paneling that matches the main room. Unusual Arched Oak Interior Colonnade, Tiger Oak Accents NEP4
An amazing oak arched interior colonnade with tiger oak details. Salvaged out of a home in Detroit, MI and dating to the early 1900's. This interior room divider features an arched header which is flanked by understated corbels; two-part boxed posts with recessed panels and quarter sawn oak accents sit below each corbel and form the bottom of each side of the divider. The colonnade is in very good antique condition and it retains its original, nicely aged finish. It measures 124-3/8" wide by 90" tall. Three (3) Tiger Oak wood panels Wainscot Architectural Antique
Three Tiger Oak panels: The smaller 2 panels are 47 11/16" x 24 3/32" at the base. The narrower measurement is 22 1/16" The large panel is 47 11/16" x 61 3/16" The depth of all panels at the base is about 2" The narrower measurement is about 1" These were salvaged from a church somewhere in the mid-west in the 1970's or 80's. My dad's friend salvaged church organs and came home with these one day. Don't know the age of the panels but they are beautiful solid oak. They are still in very good condition. There are two small red stains and some scuffing along the base of the large panel. The construction is identical on all three. Except that there is no return on the bottom of the large panel. There appears to be an identifying number(2928) on all three panels. There are construction notes(in ... morepencil) on the back of one or more panels.
