Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It is made of walnut and is currently painted. It was originally a fireplace mantel but the columns were missing and the legs were damaged. We removed the legs. Finished the ends and added a heavy duty hanging system to the back. Simply remove the included hanger from the back. Screw it into the wall and hang the shelf on it. The face of the shelf has ribbed moldings. The ends each have an exquisitely carved corbel. The breast has panels and carvings. It measures 78.25 inches wide. 20 inches tall and is 12 inches deep. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. Vintage Retro Rotary Phone Wall Wood Shelf
I have for sale an old fashioned wooden rotary telephone wall shelf or nook. It is made to sit in a wall and was usually found in a kitchen or a wall on a staircase. It is wood and the interior measures 13 x 14 by 3 3/4 inches deep. With the molding it will measure 17 x 21 inches not including the bump out shelf for the phone. There is already a hole drilled in the bottom to run a wire. Now I know a lot of people have given up land lines- but I thought a good way to repurpose this would be as a charging station for your cell phones. It was originally a fireplace mantel but the legs were damaged. We cut them off to make a great shelf. The top is trimmed in reel and bead and dentil moldings. It's held up by two large fluted corbels with carvings. The breast has built up moldings and small circular embellishments. It measures 54 inches wide. And 18.5 inches tall. It is 10.5 inches thick. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good scrubbing but will clean up nicely. There is a chip tot he back left corner of the shelf. Antique 1900's Cast Iron Wall Corner Shelf Cut-Out HEART SHAPES - General Store
This auction is for a very unique cast iron corner shelf that has cut-out heart shapes found in the bottom. I have never seen another shelf like this before. The previous owner(88 years old) claimed this shelf came from a general store located in Downtown Detroit on Sheridan Street. Her parents owned the corner store and sold practically everything imaginable. She said this shelf was always in the candy/confection area of the store and held various items through the years. The shelf measures 10" deep from the back to the front and 13" from side to side. It has the number 1102 stamped on the back. Minor surface rust as shown on both sides.
