It is lavishly decorated with gold trim over a maroon ground with green accents. All against the white of the porcelain. The title of the portrait on the front is recorded in hand painted script on the bottom of the base as(if I read it correctly) Theseus findet das Schuverd seines Vaters” Which I gather deals with Theseus of Greek mythology being sent to find his father’s(Aegeas) weapons and gain his birthright. I want to clarify that this piece is 100% hand painted. I have looked the portrait area ... moreover with a loupe and assure you it is all 100% hand painted. As is all the trim decoration and the artist signature of“Kaufman” signed in gold script. The urn itself is comprised of 3 separate pieces of porcelain and is bolted together with a long threaded metal rod and nut. The upper section is the part with the portrait and the handles and is about 7” tall. The middle section is only about 3” tall and is basically just the stem with a small square foot that fits into the larger square base. The bottom section. The large square base is about 4.5” tall. With the lid. Which is about 3” tall, there are a total of 4 separate porcelain pieces making up this piece. I have not attempted to unbolt the urn to try and take it apart. The underside of the square base of the urn is marked with a blue beehive and the word‘AUSTRIA” beneath it. I do my best to describe all items as accurately as possible and to the best of my ability. Offered here is an extraordinary19th-century continental ceramic mantel urn. Guaranteed to be original, signed and depicting a balletic dancer with castanets and bell-shaped flowers- a scene inspired simultaneously by Fanny Elssler(the black hair and castanets, the balletic pose, the decollete dress, the small waist with criss-crossing, the puffed sleeves just above the elbows, and the ballet slippers) and J. J. Grandville(the artist who produced LES FLEURS ANIMEES, depicting flowers as ballerinas, including one with red cactus flowers) The urn or vase measures a very tall 14.25 inches(Height) x 5 inches(Bottom) 6 inches(Top Rim) The condition is very good. With some rubbing of the gold finish along the bottom and the top rim(as seen in the accompanying scans) There is also a hairline two-inch crack that can be seen on the inside rim of the ... moretop. As is typical of Vieux Paris porcelain(see below) there is no identifying mark on the base. For illustrative purposes we have included. Vintage Royal Vienna footed urn with scene signed Queen with dying man soldiers
This beautiful Royal Vienna style urn is 12 ¼ inches tall and 6 inches wide. It has a bolt to hold the piece together. There is a transfer scene of a woman with a crown. Probably a Queen bending on the bed of an old man that is surely dying. There are soldiers standing in the background. The vase is nicely gilded with various patterns around the piece. The vase has the shield mark usually associated with Royal Vienna and a mark that says made in Austria. It also has writing in black on the bottom which was likely from the decorator or manufacturer. The urn dates to the early 20 th century. The urn is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. It may have started life with a lid, if so we do not have it. There is some wear to the gilding on the handles.

The urn measures 26 ¼ inches or 66.5 cm high and is 12 ½ inches or 32 cm wide from handle to handle. This fine piece of Sevres porcelain is mounted in gilt gold bronze mounts. The urn sits on a socle base with cobalt blue glazed porcelain decorated with heavy applied gold highlights. Antique Sevres bronze dore hand painted urn vase signed Dorival 19th French
This sevres urn is 17 ½ inches tall including the lid. It has gilt metal handles. It has a hand painted classical scene in the center that goes all the way around the piece. It depicts a woman with a cherub by her side. The small wings on the cherub are visible on his back. The side of the center portion is signed by the artist that looks to be Dorival. The top and bottom of the urn including the lid is in a deep cobalt blue color. All the cobalt pieces have flowers. Likely roses done in relief in gold. The lid has an acorn finial. There is a Sevres mark painted on the underside of the lid. The piece dates circa 1870. It has an old sticker on the back that is partially removed but we believe it says Empire Bazaar Buenos Aires. This piece has certainly traveled the world. There are two chips on the lid. Both have been repaired or painted ... moreover. There is some gilding missing and a couple of chips on the top of the cobalt blue at the bottom. There is a small firing pop on the back of the hand painted scene. Wonderful recent estate sale find. Antique porcelain urn measures 7" tall and 2 1/2" across. Hand painted and signed. Metal base and top with enameled designed. There is some wear to the enamel. Offered from a Main Line Philadelphia estate is a beautiful hand painted bolted urn. Made in NJ by Amoges Porcelain Co and artist signed(Rodouis? This urn is in 4 parts. Finial, lid body and base. The bolt has caused a spider crack in the base. In the center which. Does not extend to the edges or compromise the base. It is 11 3/4" tall to the top of the gold finial. The ribbon form handles are gold and yellow the body is painted with floral garland and gold scroll decoration. The top is pink and the base is yellow. And lots of gold trim in good condition. SIGNED ANTIQUE SEVRES STYLE PORCELAIN BRONZE ORMOLU URN VASE FRAGONARD MOTIF
Note: Most items are vintage or antique and were found at estate sales. Local auctions or flea markets. Some are on consignment. Up for auction is a antique Sevres style French porcelain urn vase with cover. The cover has a figural pineapple or acorn finial. It is signed with a green shield or coat of arms crest and Hand Painted Made In France with the number 36 on the bottom. The top has an ornate flowing scroll bronze ormolu mounting. The mounting appears to be slightly bent when viewing from the sides. I'm not sure if it was made that way. The top and bottom rims are ormolu mounted as well. Three scrolled feet with figural shells or medallions decorate the pedestal base. Beautiful hand painted gold gilded rose flowers with a lattice style grid motif decorate the body. Some loss to the gold gilding. Minimal to the floral motifs. Some ... moreof the gilded bands may have been retouched/repainted. A large center cartouche or medallion has a transfer hand embellished Fragonard style romance scene. The dimensions to the top of finial is 11 7/8" tall by 2 7/8" across the porcelain part of the base(bronze mounting not included in measurements) The stem sometimes loosens up when urn is moved around. There is a metal rod that runs from the bottom to the underside of the cover. By turning both ends at the same time it tightens the vase making it stable. Don't know if it was made this way or if it needs TLC. Tender loving care. In perfect shape this urn would value at over $500.00 on the low end. Item is being sold as is, no refund.
