Antique English 19th Century Soft Paste Porcelain Jug or Pitcher with Gilt Trim English antique soft paste porcelain jug from the mid 1800’s. The ornate soft paste jug is a beautiful lavender-blue and white and features two allegorical scenes on the side panels in relief. One scene depicts a woman holding a Caduceus. The staff carried by Hermes in Greek mythology, and a child sitting on her lap as two young children pull her carriage. The second scene depicts a woman in a carriage being pulled by two dogs as a putto with baskets of flowers hovers above her. A simple border that terminates in a shell form, surrounds both of the scenes. The front of the jug depicts a tree. There pitcher is accented with brilliant gilt trim and decoration throughout and the front of the pitcher has a decorative gilt monogram on the front. The jug is unsigned ... moreand unmarked. There is a bit of faint gilt loss, particularly on the rim, lip of the spout and on the acanthus leaf handle. There is a tight ¼” hairline on the interior where the handle meets the body and another 1” tight hairline on the bottom rim. The hairline does not go into the interior or prevent water storage. It was called Royal Porcelain. Based on the back stamp on the base. The Pitcher possibly would have been made between 1892 and 1924. Based on the nature of its usage, it was mostly on the earlier side. This pitcher is huge. At least as pitchers go. The approximate circumference of the body is 25 inches. Its tallest point is 11 inches at the spout. It weighs in at over 4 pounds. It is embellished with grey blue and white detailing. My guess is of a charming Dutch village and sailing vessels. Certainly it has slightly faded with time and use. But there are no surface type chips on the base. There is normal wear to the base. I have not cleaned the pitcher and it is dirty inside, but I have left that for

Antique 19th Century Miniature Bisque Porcelain Creamer Cream Pitcher - c.1842
This is a diminutive cream pitcher or creamer done in white bisque porcelain with a collar depicting wheat stalks. Berries and leaves, all done in relief. The bottom is decorated with a ribbed pattern and the handle has a gentle twist. The bottom has a British Registration porcelain pad indicating the pattern was registered between 1842-1867. Approximate measurements are 2.75" tall by 2.25" wide. It's possible this was part of a Victorian child's tea set. There is one very tiny flea bite on the spout and some manufacturing black specks and roughness on the spout. Despite being up to 150 years old. It is in outstanding condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs and no damage to the elaborate relief design. A beautiful little pitcher. Antique/Vintage Miniature Porcelain Pitcher, Hand Painted Bird Man, unmarked
Up for auction is a really awesome miniature ceramic pitcher. This well made item. Unfortunately is unmarked, so I cannot specify who made it or when. The pitcher is very thin walled and in excellent condition, it measures 3-1/2 inches high and has a base diameter of 2 inches. Hand painted on the front is an early Victorian man and woman. It appears that the man has a bird's beak. I do not think this is a flaw and was it was intentionally painted this way. I have no idea why someone would have painted a bird man. The body of the pitcher is glazed in cobalt blue.

Antique Large Porcelain Pitcher - Hand Painted - late 1800's - Beautiful
This hand-painted large porcelain pitcher has been passed down through the family. We remember seeing it in the background of a photo of a great grandmother taken in 1919. It is in beautiful condition but there is one blemish where it was chipped and repaired on the upper rim near the handle. You can see that in the photo. There is"crackling" beneath the finish which I would think would be expected considering the age. The vase is about 11.5 inches tall and about 8 inches wide from tip of the handle to the furthest point at the front. I don't see any markings on the bottom. Thanks for bidding!

A wonderful Arts& Crafts pottery pitcher and 2 cups. Incredible blue/green matte glaze. MINT as far as damage; No chips. No hairline cracks, no repairs. I must point out there is some dirt/dust or grime in the bottom of the cups and pitcher and inside sides of pitcher. Some crazing in the glaze. Difficult to photograph the wonderful color of these. The white pottery underneath appears to be porcelain. These are thrown. No markings. The glaze is a mottled blue/green with some drips and one side of the pitcher has a feathered effect due to the glaze. These came out a fine portland. Oregon estate of Arts& Crafts pottery. I was assured they are C1910-1920 and were displayed by the great-grandfather of the person selling them, for years in his hutch and then handed them down in the family, we were told they were from England. I thought ... morethey were new when first seen because of bright colors and condition but upon further inspection of the build up of dirt/grime in the bottoms and inside side of pitcher I feel this these are old but in just wonderful/loved condition. I have not attempted to clean/wash these. I would be doubtful if ever used. They are just beautiful. Maker unknown. Please see all photos. Description: This auction is for an antique Art Nouveau Lenox hard porcelain flowered sterling overlay pitcher with lid. The Lenox mark on the bottom was first used in 1906. the mark of the silver maker is on the bottom as well. The pitcher is marked sterling on the side under the handle near the bottom. The pitcher measures approximately 7 1/2 inches tall to the top of the lid. The base 4 inches wide, the width from handle to side 5 inches. The pitcher is in good condition for it's age; no repairs. But there are two hairlines, one at the bottom of the handle's right side& another to the left bottom side of the handle. The hairlines are both smooth to the touch. There is one small rough area that looks like some sterling or glue, when you look at the photo#8 you may notice, or not, near the top middle of the flowers. It is not ... morea chip& there is one other area on the handle that appears to be a loss of sterling rather than a chip. There is one small black dot under the handle that appears to have been caused in the making. Just covering all the bases, this is a rare find& a beautiful piece. I don't know the exact age but it has heavy crazing all over it. It is in excellent used condition with no chips or cracks, little dirty. I was afraid to wash it. Porcelain Wash Bowl and Pitcher, British, Antique
Beautiful English Porcelain Bowl and Pitcher/Ewer with Soap dish. Mom purchased this as a antique in England in the late 60s. It is unmarked except for"506" on the underside of bowl and pitcher. So have no idea when it was originally made or by whom. Bowl: 18 x 17 x 6. Pitcher: 10 x 9 x 7. Soap Dish: 6 x 2. Total Weight: 10 pounds. In Ok shape. There is a ~1/2" nick on the bowl rim that was painted over. The pitcher handle has a nick near the bottom. The Soap Dish as a 1.5" crack. Though the lid is good. Overall, the damage to the bowl and pitcher is not that noticeable unless you are looking for it. Is a beautiful set and just too pretty to throw out. Because of it's size and weight. Shipping is likely around $30. If less, the difference will be refunded.

ESTATE FIND: This is from an estate that purchased it in England in the 1970's. It is part of a pitcher and bowl set and the bowl and other pieces were broken in transit back to the U.S. The set is in good used condition.the pitcher has no chips or cracks but the holder has no chips but it does have a line crack about 2 or 3 inches. The pitcher is about 13" tall and the holder os about 3 1/4" tall. Thanks for looking.

ANTIQUE TEMPLE TORII PORCELAIN PITCHER / CREAMER Hand Painted Scene MORIAGE
This lovely porcelain pitcher has a detailed hand painted scene of flowering trees. Hills, and cottages beside a cool stream, with little dusky patches in the sky. The painting of small details is carefully done, rather than the slashes of paint sometimes seen in oriental scenes; and some of the blossoms on the trees are dotted with white moriage(raised dots of paint) There is also gold on the rim and handle. The words“Hand Painted Made in Japan” are on the bottom with the torri back stamp(Gate of Honor) But it is very faint so I’ve included a photo of a clearer one from a saucer. The pitcher is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and measures 4 ½” in diameter x 2 ¾” high, not including the spout. There is a matching cup and saucer in a separate listing. Antique Porcelain Baby Christening Mug/Pitcher Stamped Germany 12 in red on the bottom and has the numbers 34 then 435/01.2 incised on the bottom around the rim. Dates to the 1800’s I have not been able to find a comparable online; I believe this was used as a christening vessel. Unique and in wonderful condition for its age less a small 2inch hairline down the side from the rim. You cannot feel the crack it just looks like a very thin line, otherwise there are no other chips or repairs. The shape is very unusual and quite lovely it measures a little over 3” tall and about 5” from spout to handle. Very sweet and unique in all its Victorian charms!
