A Pair of STEVENS BRUSSEL Allergorical covered urns. Artist sighned"CL Wagner" Belgium, Circa 1865, 17" High, and about 10.5" in Diameter. These are spectacularly appointed with Putti figures, animals, fruit and foliage. The glaze on the underside of the lids is a little spotty but this is in the making and firing, as it was intended to be. One has a slight lean to it, again, these are HAND MADE top to bottom!

These urns are done in a Chinese export style typical of the 19th century. The urns are completely hand painted with flowers and raised enamel designs. Each side is painted with a large crest and shield. The finial on each lid is done in a full bodied. Completely gilt foo-dog. The underside of each urn has a makers mark. There are a couple of minor chips to the inside lip of the lids but this is not visible when the lids are on the vases. There is a chip to the rim of one vase. Scrolls and birds- unmarked on the base except for the impressed number 106(as photographed) although it is likely to be SCHILLER& GERBING- probably made to resemble/compete with the Wedgwood black basalt wares- made in Austria in the middle of the 19th century. Description From the collection of a retired diplomat we offer a pair of 19th century Sevres urns with ormulu mounts. These were turned into lamps sometime early in the 20th century. The bodies are in cobalt. Each holds two bulbs. The wiring is original and dates from the 1920s. These are quite stupendous. On one the ormulu is a bit discoloured with some vertigris. Excellent original condition. It does appear that there is one very small piece of metal missing out of the rim of one of the urns(see last close-up photo) but because of the style of the rim it is difficult to detect. These appear to be unsigned. With the ormolu bases. Which I have not attempted to remove, sometimes the signature is covered up but I cannot see any signs of a mark.

19th century hand painted two-handled bisque compote with decor of blackberries
Late 19th century bisque porcelain two-handled compote or cup hand-painted with motif of blackberries and leaves. The cup stands on a square base measuring 3 inches by 3 inches. A stem rises from this base to the circular cup or bowl on either side of which are handles pained in a pale lavender tone. The front of the cup is adorned with a motif of blackberries. Leaves, vines and berry blossoms against a lilac and pale yellow background. The rear of the cup also has a smaller motif of three blackberries surrounded by pale green leaves, three white blossoms and vines also against a pale lilac and yellow ground. A wonderful feature of this cup is the grisaille(or monotone gray) interior painting featuring a garland of leaves, berries and vines that circles the rim of the cup with individual berries cascading down into the bowl. The approximate ... moredimensions are 4 and 3/4 inches high by 8 and 3/4 inches wide(measured from handle to handle. The diameter of the cup or bowl is approximately 6 and 1/8 inches. Two Exceptional Vases, Beautifully Painted 19th. Century Berlin Porcelain
This pair of Berlin porcelain pot-pourri vases are based on an 18th. century design. But the pure white material and bright palette point to their having been made in the 19th, century. They feature pierced covers with twin satyr-mask handles, and the tops are surmounted by beautiful rose handles. They are decorated in gold, and painted with flower sprays, and mounted on separate drum-shaped stands. The photos show the beautifully painted flowers that surround the vases. The hallmark is the Berlin scepter in underglaze blue. They are in excellent condition with two exceptions; one of the roses is missing a leaf(hard to notice) And there Is a dark discoloration where the upper part of the urn meets its base. Both are shown on the photos. The Berlin pottery is one of the most prestigious in Germany. Along with Meissen and Nymphenburg. All three ... morefactories are very conservative and are still largely producing the forms they made in the 18th. and 19th. centuries. Each of the urns measures 16.5" high by 9.5" wide. Up for auction is a beautiful antique French Old Paris Porcelain Campana Urn or Vase. This 19th century urn has a hand painted scene with gold gilt and masque handle terminals. It is in very good vintage condition. There are places where the gold has worn. And in pictures 9 and 11 little drops of gold have come off the decoration. The white top edge has some flea bites and one little chip as seen in picture 10. The rim is a little uneven, but, of course, this was done in the making of the urn. The screw needs to be tightened, but I will leave that to the new owner. There is what I believe to be crazing on the inside as shown in picture 12. It measures approximately 10 1/2" tall by 8" wide. A gorgeous French Sevres urn hand painted with a pair of portraits. The front portrays an aristocratic couple in a wooded setting while the back depicts a forest scene near a lake or stream. Such beautiful and exception detail to the scenes, hand painted using tiny brush strokes and bright, vivid colors. Signed at the edge with Proche. A celeste blue background accents the top and bottom of the vase trimmed by gilt painted décor. Surrounding the piece is a pair of ornate handles. CHAMBERLAIN WORCESTER old Antique English Fine Art China Porcelain 19th Century
Up for sale here is a nice looking. Antique maybe circa 1850s or earlier Chamberlain Worcester hand painted three piece covered urn or vase. The size of the piece comes to about 8 1/4 to 8 1/2 inches in height at the top of the finial handle by 3 3/4 inches in diameter. The piece is marked in what looks like hand written script, not stamped, Chamberlain Worcester No 75" There are condition issues to note on this piece. The finial/ handle was broken or cracked in half at one time and reglued together. The tip of one of the horns on one of the Rams on the side of the urn is chipped off an missing. The decoration is in very good condition with just minimal finish loss at the top of the finial handle. The gold decoration and other designs appear to be intact. There is some sticky spots from where tape once held on the lid and finial to prevent ... moreit from falling off but this could be easily cleaned. This is a very difficult to find Chamberlain Worcester piece. We have not really been able to find this same pattern on other pieces we have researched. Antique 19th Century Sevres Vase Urn w/ Orig Label, Signed Rolli - NO RESERVE
Up for auction- No Reserve- is a beautiful handpainted antique late 19th century Sevres vase/ urn signed Rolli. Scene on front depicts pretty maiden and cherub. Heavy raised gold detailing throughout and especially on back. Mounted on white marble pedestal- there is a crack/break in the base that was repaired(see last photos) It's not very noticeable unless looking up close at it. There is also a slight chip on the white marble base. Also not noticeable unless at the right angle looking at it(see last two photos) The back has a beautiful irridescent sheen to it. With blues and purples throughout giving it a marble look. There are a few shallow small chips in the glaze(see photo where two fingers are pointing- it's the third to last photo) The handles and neck base are bronze. There is some dirt on/under them which has collected over ... morethe years; I have not attempted to polish or clean them. There is also some excess white paint underneath the bronze neck base towards the right side handle- see fourth to last photo. There are remnants of a very old label on the bottom. It says"Italy- Country of Origin" A number, and what looks to me like the Sevres mark on the bottom but I cannot make it out exactly(see photo 8) Dimensions: approx 13.5" tall x 5" wide(at widest point. OLD antique SEVRES Artist 19th Century Fine Art PORCELAIN & BRONZE Bowl signed
Up for sale here is a vintage. Antique, circa 1870s to 1880s Sevres or Sevres style Porcelain Urn or bowl with Bronze mounts. The piece is hand painted on both sides one side with a landscape and the other side with a Neo Classic Old Master style work with woman and Putti or Cherub. The piece measures about 12 1/2 inches wide from handle to handle by 6 3/8 inches deep by 9 1/2 inches high. The artist who painted the design is Lucot and it is signed on the work of the Woman and Cherub. We did not see a mark for the Sevres factory but we also did not inspect the piece out of its mounts either. For condition. There is faint crazing or crackle to the glazes' finish from firing of the piece and it may look almost as it did when it was first fired. The bowl is slightly off center from the stand. There is some faint handling wear to the finish ... moreon the handles from being picked up over the years but again very minor. There are no breaks or repairs to the porcelain and the gold finish is intact throughout. While this work is not marked Sevres we found some auction results for marked Sevres pieces that had Lucot as the artist so we are thinking Lucot was a decorator for the Sevres factory. This piece would make a great centerpiece for any luxurious table setting and would probably have your guests asking all kinds of questions about it. Rare Sevres Like L.Henry French Bronze Ormolu Gold Urn Vase 19th Century This French Sevres like vase is ca.1830 France. The metal work is all Bronze and made by the L. Henry factory foundry in Paris. This alone is very rare. The bottom has L.Henry impressed marks on the metal. The bronze is ormolu gilt with amazing double Lions head's on each piece with hanging wreaths. The piece is signed by the French Artist"CLEM" and has raised jeweled enamel gold surrounding the portrait courting seen. The work is tremendous. And the gold is raised and thick. Superb example. Rarely will one ever encounter L.Henry's work on a Sevres Blank like this. The vase stands 11 1/2" tall with a diameter of 3" There are two small chips out of the porcelain on the lid. This in no way affects the display quality of the piece.

LARGE ANTIQUE 19th Century HAND PAINTED CRACKLE PORCELAIN & BRONZE URN VASE LID
Up for auction is a large BEAUTIFUL 19th century hand painted crackle finish porcelain urn with a bronze base. Collar, lid. The urn stands has a height of 17 inches& is in EXCELLENT vintage condition. The urn has a beautiful vintage crackle glaze finish both outside& inside the vase, The inside of the vase was expertly finished in the crackle glaze down the sides& bottom, as you would expect from a piece of this period& quality. It has also been masterfully hand painted, creating 4 separate panels, of 2 separate designs,with a few areas embellished with raised enamel. Please keep in mind while the murals are twin images& are remarkably similar they are not exact, as they were hand painted. The urn is heavy weighing in at 7 pounds 15 ounces, It is about 7 1/2 inches across at the widest area.I could only feel a couple of ... moretiny flee bite imperfections in the glaze. The only other issue I could find was one small 1/4 long, hair width surface scratch. This piece bears no signatures, or makers marks. I have no idea where it was made. I purchased it believing it to be late 19th century Chinese. But after further research, some outside consultation. It is suspected to be French, or Chinese possibly very early 19th century. Please note porcelain is not one of my strengths, I bought the piece because I liked it, it was of a very high quality. So please look at the pictures provided to make your own conclusions.
