The man sits on a rock in a green grove, dressed in a rich blue coat with orange stockings and an orange hat. She wears a beautiful early Renaissance gown of cream with a gold pinafore lined in mauve trimmed with flowers and has one hand raised in a conversational gesture. Outstanding 19th C. Old Paris Porcelain Urn Vase Lamp Manner Tucker Philadelphia
An outstanding Old Paris porcelain vase or urn decorated in the manner of the Tucker Factories of Philadelphia. Ca. 1835. It has been converted into a lamp. The vase measures 12 1/2" high(vase measurement only) and has gold gilding with a rich patina. The exquisite hand-painted decoration of flowers and birds covers the entire surface. Below the painted decoration. The lower portion of the vase is an unusual matt glazed section that appears to be molded flower and acanthus leaf decoration. There is a fingernail size old chip at upper rim. An old repair of the"lion's" crest and two old repairs on the bottom edge of the base. The back of the base has been notched for the electrical cord. Antique French Old Paris Porcelain Campana Urn Vase 19th Century
Up for auction is a beautiful antique French Old Paris Porcelain Campana Urn or Vase. This 19th century urn has a hand painted scene with gold gilt and masque handle terminals. It is in very good vintage condition. There are places where the gold has worn. And in pictures 9 and 11 little drops of gold have come off the decoration. The white top edge has some flea bites and one little chip as seen in picture 10. The rim is a little uneven, but, of course, this was done in the making of the urn. The screw needs to be tightened, but I will leave that to the new owner. There is what I believe to be crazing on the inside as shown in picture 12. It measures approximately 10 1/2" tall by 8" wide. A very beautiful antique. Circa 1860's, Old Paris porcelain pedestaled urn, in the manner of Louis XVI or Sevres. It is entirely hand painted with a courtship, portrait of Mme Du Barry, and floral sprays. It has in the past been converted to a electric lamp, a neat hole drilled through the center bottom, and missing the original porcelain lid. As presented excellent condition: without chips or cracks, no wear to pink enamel or hand painting, most minor wear to gilting.

This important Old Paris porcelain piece is good example of the high level of craftsmanship achieved by the French porcelain industry during the 19th century. The modelling in bisque of the sultan that serves as finial is simply magnificent. From the movement of his clothes to the majestic mien. The 3-dimensional effect of the sultan figure overflowing the mouth of the ewer/urn is stunning. Under the figure, the glazed body with gilded garlands and high relief leaves and fruit complement the piece, and makes one wonder: Sculpture or domestic ware? Although the piece is in good condition. The sultan is missing part of the opium pipe, and a finger in his right hand is broken. In the glazed part, some old repairs show, and there is gold loss. Early 1800's Darte Freres Paris Gold-Ground and White Porcelain Urn/ Vase. The beautiful white-bodied urn is richly decorated with heavy gilt. The white porcelain body is decorated with a blue-flowered wreath. Which encircles a gilt monogram. The reverse side of the urn is also monogrammed. The two wonderfully-shaped curled arms are decorated with lion heads. The base of each has a fan shape. The urn rests on a square gilt base. The white porcelain body is topped with elegant gold. The interior is white. The base is marked with an iron-red stenciled mark, Darte Freres a Paris" dated 1813.
