Antique English puce classical style spittoon horse lion urn Victorian
This puce colored ceramic spittoon is 11 inches high and 7 ½ inches across at the top. It is decorated with classical scenes of a man on a horse in the process of spearing a lion. There are three borders that are brown and crème in color. All of the decoration is done by transfer. The piece could be used as a vase or an urn. The piece does not have a makers mark on the bottom. Only a number. It is likely English and dates circa 1870. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. There are a few spots with some small loss to the puce glaze.

The inside of the pot is glazed and has dribbles of paint as well. The stand measures 15" tall. And is 11" across the bottom. The pot is 10" wide, 7-1/2" tall, with the mouth 7-1/2 across. I don't know for a fact that this was made in England. However that's that I was told by a local antiques dealer who is well-know in our area. This is quite a studding and impressive piece. As far as I can tell. There are no condition issues, however I am not an authority. I have pointed out in one of the photos a tiny little place on the bottom of the pot. I can't tell if this is a tiny chip or just an area where the glaze did not ... morecover. I don't feel any jagged edge. Please let me know if you need additional information. CHAMBERLAIN WORCESTER old Antique English Fine Art China Porcelain 19th Century
Up for sale here is a nice looking. Antique maybe circa 1850s or earlier Chamberlain Worcester hand painted three piece covered urn or vase. The size of the piece comes to about 8 1/4 to 8 1/2 inches in height at the top of the finial handle by 3 3/4 inches in diameter. The piece is marked in what looks like hand written script, not stamped, Chamberlain Worcester No 75" There are condition issues to note on this piece. The finial/ handle was broken or cracked in half at one time and reglued together. The tip of one of the horns on one of the Rams on the side of the urn is chipped off an missing. The decoration is in very good condition with just minimal finish loss at the top of the finial handle. The gold decoration and other designs appear to be intact. There is some sticky spots from where tape once held on the lid and finial to prevent ... moreit from falling off but this could be easily cleaned. This is a very difficult to find Chamberlain Worcester piece. We have not really been able to find this same pattern on other pieces we have researched. If you collect Chamberlain Worcester this would make a nice addition to your collection and even with the minor damage it still displays nicely. Thank you very much for checking out our ebay store. There has been a repair at he base of one Urn(see photos) Both sides have a profile depiction of an English man. The middle of the urn is decorative with a symmetric design. Handles also have a unique design with two dog like figures biting the top of the urn. Urn is approximately 10 1/4"Tall x 4" wide x 3 3/4" inch at the base. Please check out my other listings. Welcome to Power_to_dream Art and Antique Shop! We are pleased to offer for sale Absolutely Amazing Antique Porcelain Umbrella Stand by Royal Doulton Burslem. Circa 1890-1902. Height approximately 24" Top diameter 9 3/4" Bottom 11" Stamped by the manufacturer on the bottom. Please see pictures. I would say overall this stand is in mint condition. The only flow that I could find is a little spider on the bottom. Please see pictures.Otherwise no chips or cracks. This stand was purchased from the Estate of very well known Royal Doulton Collector in NJ. Sale was done by Barton's Galleries. I will include lot picture and a copy of the receipt. Offered in this sale is a nice pair of bisque Parian porcelain urns mounted on brass ormolu bases ... moreand embellished a a beaded band of ormolu on the upper rim that I believe are English or perhaps more likely French in origin dating to the 19th century. They are not marked in any way. They measures roughly 7 1/2" tall x 5 1/4" in diameter across the top. The base is 3 1/8" square. The decoration features nine different allegorical figures around the body of the urn with two projecting Bacchus heads on either side. Other than the fact that one urn is loose from the base mount which is easily corrected if you choose to do so. The condition of both pieces is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or restoration. This is really a wonderful pair of classical urns in a nice size for displaying. Please feel free to email with any questions. The urns are made of early hybrid porcelain. No lids. No maker's marks. The porcelain urns are 8 inches tall by 6 inches wide at the rims. The pair weighs 4 lbs 12 oz(shipping weight 8 lb) The pair is in fair to good condition. Pair Antique English/French Urns Show Off Hand Painted Exotic Birds & Flowers
A rare. Unexpected, chic pair of antique lidded urns in very good condition, with an elegant pink fantasy. Adorned in the front with a hand-painted macaw, a trupial, as well as other birds in the lid, insects and flowers in the back, the right hand urn in the second photo is in excellent condition; the other, featuring an alexandrine parrot and a turaco, is also in excellent condition, meaning that there are no hairlines, no cracks, no chips, no restorations. Both are topped by a barking dog. One is unmarked; the other presents a paper stamp saying"Bury Collection" From the Bury Art Museum in UK? both under the lid and on the underside.
