These are almost certainly French pieces. The urns date to circa 1870-1900. The alabaster of the urns has beautiful natural striations and variations in color. Around the urns are cast and gilded decorations of a torch and cornucopias. Very well done and detailed. The handles of the urns have masques of a woman where they meet the urn. Overall the urns are very ornate. These would make an attractive addition to any mantel, could be used as very classy bookends, anything you like. This pair of urns is in great overall condition. As the photos show. There are some splits to the metal of the interior of the mouth, on both pieces, but nothing that effects ... morethe structural integrity. One of the urns has a chip in the back side of the base, which will not be visible if the pieces are displayed with the back to a wall. Pair of Antique French Sevres Porcelain Turquoise / Teal Urns
This is a nice pair of antique French Sevres porcelain turquoise/ teal urns. They are in pretty good shape for their age with some imperfections more than I could picture but they are all similar to the ones pictured. They are slightly different as the pics show with some discoloration. One has had the finial repaired and imperfections like that shown in pics 11& 12 with some missing enamel and those scratched, they are not cracks. Also they will need a little tightening which I will let the new owner do. I believe they are 19th century adaptations even though it has the 18th century marking underneath as pic 10 shows but I will let you be the judge. Antique Pair Small German Porcelain Dresden Figural Cherub Figurine Urns Vase
This is a beautiful pair of small German Dresden Floral urns. They are gorgeous little displays at only 6 inches high by 3 1/2 inches wide each. One is in excellent condition with only a few tiny nicks to a few of the floral bocage however the other one has a reglued lid and handle and each cherub is missing a limb. Few small nicks as well. However as you can see. It displays well with the other one and they are a very sweet and delicate pair! Antique c1880 Pair French Chinese Platinum Porcelain Ormolu Mounted Urns
Fresh to the market from a Southern Estate a wonderful pair of 1880s French platinum urn vases. These are all original. They have gilt gold brass ormolu mounts. Platinum painted porcelain with handpainted chinoiserie style miniature paintings. One of a chinese woman in a beautiful dress fanning herself surrounded by flowers. The other is a gentleman sitting in a chair painting porcelain vases. The backs of the urn vases also are handpainted. The quality is impeccable. The main part of the urn is porcelain as are the panels in the gilt brass bases. The tops are brass and are painted in the platinum with gilt brass finials. The handles and bases are all very intricate gilt brass with lion paw feet. The urns are setting on gilt gold wood bases. The top of the base is covered in purple velvet and roped edge. The gilt gold bases have 4 gilt wood ... moreball feet. The bottom of the wood is painted the old mustard color and stamped 75& DS. Condition. The porcelain parts are all in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or wear. The gilt gold ormolu is in perfect condition. The gilt gold wood bases have some old small age cracks to wood and the beautiful red underpaint is showing thru in places just beautifully. The old velvet is aged but is all there as is the roping. Description From the collection of a retired diplomat we offer a pair of 19th century Sevres urns with ormulu mounts. These were turned into lamps sometime early in the 20th century. The bodies are in cobalt. Each holds two bulbs. The wiring is original and dates from the 1920s. These are quite stupendous. On one the ormulu is a bit discoloured with some vertigris. ANTIQUE 1890's DRESDEN URN VASES RAM HEAD GOLD FLORAL CABBAGE ROSE MATCHED PAIR
This auction is for a matching pair of antique Dresden urn vases with pedestal bases; they feature a ram's head at the base of the open handles. Extensive gold trim and vibrant hand painted floral wreath designs with cabbage roses on both front and back sides of the vase; there is a raised feather design at the bottom of the urn at the base attachment, also trimmed in gold; exact age is unknown, they are a recent estate purchase from a home with many high end antique items. Both have the same markings: the under glaze Dresden artist logo/marking is partially obscured by the metal base insert plates, directly below is"Dresden" in blue under glaze with"Germany" in green below that, which appears to be hand painted on the glaze; there is also an incised number of"7058" on the unglazed base edge and another stamp ... moreon an opposite corner, possibly a secondary distributor, the lettering is partially worn/partially obscured with ancient rubs from shelf dust, possibly"Bromere Company" not an expert on Dresden pieces/markings so will leave full identification to those who are more familiar with it. The vases are roughly 7.5" tall, bases are about 2 1/8" x 2 1/8" they are superb display pieces and in very good condition given their age; there is minimal wear to gold trim and hand painted details; the floral designs have exceptionally nice color retention; the"lids" are firmly in place, do not know if they were originally glued in place or if done at a later date. There are several(very old) novice repairs that are not immediately obvious(and could be improved on easily with professional restoration) one of the eight horns had a section broken out and glued back in, one or both( finials appear to be glued into place; one lid has a fine hair line crack in lid, the other lid has two; repairs are not glaring, only seen on close examination; they will need some additional detail cleaning, we only removed the light surface dust. Antique pair French Sevres style hand painted urns with winged handles
This is a pair of charming hand painted porcelain urns with brass winged women on the side and a brass footed base. One of the urns has a man in 18th century dress on one side and a large house or castle on the back. The other urn has a woman in 18thcentury dress and a large house or castle on the back. They are hand painted and are signed by the artist. Whose name starts with an F. The urns are 10 ¾ inches tall without the lid and 12 ¼ inches with the lid. These are done in the style of Sevres. The lid on one of the urns has a curly mark that says France. These are French and date to the late 19th or early 20th century. The lid on one of the urns has been damaged badly and replaced but it is a very bad replacement. There is a scratch to the enamel where the urn with the man is signed. To the front is a stunning hand painted portrait depicting a courting couple in a pastoral setting, surrounded by flowers, trees and a country home or chateau in the background. One scene portrays a couple drawing water from a well, and the other portrays a couple walking through a forest. Of superb quality, done in minute brushstrokes of bright and vivid colors. Set to the reverse is a colorful vignette of various flowers on a white ground. Signed A. Daret, the scenes are framed by gold gilt patterned friezes and scrolling foliate. This lovely pair of Victorian urns is each 12 inches tall to the top of the handles. The urns are porcelain with gilt metal bases. Handles and rims at the top. The vases have scenes in the center with classical style ladies involved is different activities. One scene depicts ladies digging with shovels and one lady has a diamond in her hand. The scene is signed and has the word diamond under it. The other scene also shows a shovel with the lady holding up an emerald. The scene is labeled emerald. Tall antique OLD Paris vases/urns pair
These beautiful vases came from an estate of an avid antique collector. They are in great condition for their age. Number 1 measures 16" high and#2 is slightly shorter at 15 3/4" high. Number 2 had a very slight hairline crack on the bottom. They are a little over 11" wide at the widest point. When you rub your finger over the painted areas. You can feel the strokes of paint. The gold is rubbed in a few places. It almost looks like that was done on purpose.

This is a pair of French urns in the Sevres style. They are each 15 ¾ inches tall. The urns are hand painted with classical scenes with mountains in the background. The have jeweled decoration under the scenes in the center. They each have snake handles. The decoration is on a bleu celeste background and it is exquisite. The urns are mounted with a bolt attached to the bottom. These were likely made in the Sevres area. They date to the second half of the 19 th century. These originally had lids. But we do not have the lids. One of the snake handles has been replaced. While it is a good replacement, the new handle is not the exact size as the other one and does not have the same detail. This is a gorgeous pair of old French mantle urns that would display just as nicely on a buffet or in a cabinet. This pair is large standing approximately 13 inches tall with the lids on. One side has the Courting Lovers scene and the backside has a floral pattern. Tiny delicate pink roses adorn the urn in swags at the top edge as well as on the lid and foot. There is plenty of gold trim. Each urn is in 2 sections and they are held together by a nut and bolt. Totally unseen. There are no chips or cracks, these are very old and there is normal crazing for the age.
