Ohio The company made fancy pavers for sidewalks and such. The company went out of business in the 1930's. Salt glazing. Produced by shoveling salt into the fire at high temeratures gave Nelsonville Brick pavers a distinctive finish and ... moremade them more watertight. COPELAND- INGLIS B' HAM. ALA. late 1910's to 1920's era Recovered from historic YBOR CITY. FLORIDA Own a part of Tampa's history! Great overall condition for age. Writing face is in great un-warn conditon with only 2 small chips on top. The lower corner has a corner piece missing(see photo#3) The bottom side has been warn down by decades of traffic. This paver was laid down with the writing side facing down and was filled with tar(see photo#8 taken on 7th Avenue in Ybor City) This has protected the writing face. There is still tar present on the sides. This paver displays very well! It has a salt glaze that is only shinny in the middle which gives it a 2 shade effect. Very unique looking! Of all the southern states in America. Florida by far had and still has the greatest concentration of historic brick streets, Mainly because ... moreof our sandy soil. Unfortunately most streets have been paved over or removed. This Copelad-Inglis block was very popular in Florida and was used by dozens of cities& town in the state. REYNOLDS BLOCK 1890's to 1910's era Recovered from historic YBOR CITY. FLORIDA, near 8th Ave& 13th St Own a part of Tampa's history! Good condition for age. Writing side looks good but has both corners chipped off. bottom has large section missing. Still displays well! Does not look like it was warn down by traffic and probably was near the curb. please see photos) This is a rare paver for Florida. I have only seen the SALT GLAZED REYNOLDS BLOCK in St. Augustine& Ybor City. Not sure of other cities in other states but for a Florida paver. It is as rare as it gets! This block was recovered near the intersection of 8th Ave East& 13th St North when they were building the streetcar line back in the early 2000's. These blocks are only located in this section of Ybor City and are few& far between. This is the oldest ... moresection of town that dates back to the 1880's. Of all the southern states in America. For sale are dark red. Salt glazed, architectural bricks salvaged from a house built in 1914. We know there are more than 8000(we estimate about 8400) but we are selling all of them as a lot as if there are only 8000. On average, the bricks weigh 6.125 pounds and measure on average 8-5/8” X 4-3/8” X 2-3/8” The bricks vary dimensionally up to 3/16 of an inch. These are salvaged bricks so some are in very good condition while others do have chips and extra character. Please see the pictures for more. Available for pick up as well as shipping. The Clinton Township High School Building was built. P hoto courtesy of Amy Westervelt) Despite the efforts of some members of the Clintonville community. This school was demolished in 2014. Photo taken this year. Just before demolition. 2014) The basement was originally paved with these bricks. And at some time were buried in sand and concrete was laid over them. They were the last thing the demolition crew pulled from the site. They have an interesting sanded finish with shades of red. Orange, copper, and brown.
