Will take best offers. Up for auction is for an antique arched/dome cast iron wall heat register. From bottom to the top of the arch it is 15 3/4" and it is 12 inches wide. It has no cracks or breaks but because this is cast iron there are places where it did not cast perfectly but they are not noticeable except by close inspection. The detail on the top has hand pounded and cast fini als in the shape of a cross and a clover. The wrought iron is hand smithed to make interesting double hoops. Antique Cast Iron Shelf Brackets Door Corners Iron Works ornate industrial vtg
I am really not sure what to call these. They might be large shelving brackets but I think they went in the corners of a large door or entry way. This auction is for the pair of them. Each one measures 21 inches by 21 inches by 31 inches across. One of them is in perfect shape the other has two cracks in the ornate section however is still solid. I thought about welding those two parts but thought I would leave it to the next owner. I was going to put them in the corners of a door way but they were just to large for that entry. This is very rare ornate wrought iron stair railing from the grand lobby of the Sterling hotel. There are floral and spiral leaf details that are rarely found in American iron anymore. Description This is a nice lot that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. They were originally heat grates. The backs were in bad shape so we just pulled the faces off. They are made of cast iron with ornate designs. 2 are the same each measuring 13.75 inches in diameter. The last is 15.5 in diameter. Your big buys all three. They have white pain with rust overall. Overall they are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning. One has a crack. Please see the pictures carefully. Ref: 71317 Shipping. This is a special design of fence which dates back to the 1860's. It is made of a lighter gauge iron stock due to the demand for iron during the war. It has three rows of ornate castings which make it a fence well suited for garden or other areas that require interesting decor. There are three sections that are missing the top row of finials. late 1800s or early 1900s cemetery gates. these are made by Stewart Iron Works out of Cincinnati OH. both gates have the Stewart emblem in great shape size: roughly 90" tall by 67" wide each these will need some TLC. some pieces need to be bent back into shape. The detail is all surprising intact. Sandblasting will make this piece look amazing. Any rust is surface rust. Solid and Heavy! This auction is for 3 sections of fence. One section is 7 foot long and 30" high The middle arbor/gateway section is 6 feet 8 inches The third section is 7 foot 7 inches long and 30" high In all approximately 21 feet. You get the following pieces at are in the photos. 1 lovely antique iron gate- The gate is 41 1/2" tall and 33 1/2" wide including the latch/opening part. 2 long sections- one is 7 feet 4 inches long and has bent pieces that you can see in the photos. The other long section is 6 feet 11 1/2 inches long and has a missing rod at the end that you can see in the photos. 3 large and very heavy posts. Each post is 48" tall and has a base diameter of about 4 1/2" The posts have eight sides. One post has been painted. The second post is rusted and unpainted. The 3 post which I think may be the gate post is cracked around the post. But not broken into ... more2 pieces- also the middle bracket is broken off and that has been wired to the top so it does not get lost. I believe the post can be repaired by a good welder who knows how to repair old iron. I have owned these beauties for over 12 years- we just never got around to putting them in our garden. I love these and am in the process of buying a 1908 gothic hand cut sandstone church and wanted these for the windows. But they would have to be cut and refitted, so I have decided to use reproduction ones that fit. I have a total of 10 available if not sold. Stop by my store and browse over 400 listings. This listing is for ONE window guard as shown. Heavy,heavy they look even greater in person. Pick up only. Measure 66" tall. 31" on the outside where they would be screwed into frame. The inside area is 29-1/4" 2" depth. These are guards that are placed on the outside of the window. You can not remove them from the inside for a quick escape.
