Antique Stair Carriages This is a group of antique circa 1880 Victorian stair carriages. These have a long story to them. But I will make it short. These came from a Victorian home that was demolished in Falls Church. Va. in the 1970's. My parents have had them stored and they intended to use them in their house. But new ones were used instead. There are 7 carriages total. They are a sturdy wood. I am not sure what kind of wood it is. Perhaps oak. These measure anywhere from 50" long to 63" long and are all about 11" wide. They are all 2" thick. You can use them for a staircase. Or fit them together and make a unique table or bench or anything really. Shelves are another unique option. This is great wood that you just don't find anymore and a terrific find! Condition: Very good. For sale an antique Victorian large wall pocket newspaper rack fold out with heraldic blazon style decoration. I believe this is walnut wood. The burl of the pocket fold I believe is walnut. Beautifully carved with cote of arms motif. The frame has a 10" flying dragon on each upper side and leaves all over the frame, and one plain leaf in the center in case you'd like to personalize. The burl front pocket has"L" engraved. The rack measures about 27" x 18" The wood sticks out from the wall about 3" before opening the rack. The pocket expands up to 6.5" Condition: The bottom right corner is about 8" chipped and glued as shown in last two pics. The front burl wall pocket under"L" has a white spot as shown in pic 7. Huge Victorian Blacksmiths Forge bellows, Industrial, Steampunk, Elm Wood, Prop
These would look stunning in an industrial interior. Perhaps convert to a coffee table or just create a great talking point. Also ideal as a prop for a film set or how about a fantastic steampunk project? They definately have a Jules Verne look about them! Removed from a blacksmiths shop these antique bellows are in remarkable condition for an item of this nature and age. Very rare to find one of these where the leather isn't in tatters. There are one or two small holes and some rubbing but really very good considering(more detailed photos to come) The woodwork. Which I'm fairly sure is elm is very sound and secure, a few isolated worm holes but probably long dead and I've treated it anyway for good measure. The wood has been scraped and sanded to reveal a nice grain and then finished with high quality Osmo oil. Most of the studs, ... morewhich I think could be made of lead? are in place and secure. There is as you can see some heat damage to the nozzle tip but all the metal surrounding is rock solid. It'd be fairly straight forward to weld a new cone tip on if you so wished. They do actually work as intended. at least in the fact they project a good volume of air when squeezed. I was told they where originally suspended from the ceiling and operated by a long pull down lever. Which is included(photo later) Haven't got the exact sizes to hand at the moment but will update later. I'd say approx 6ft+ overall length. Obviously very heavy and will take 2-3 people to lift. Vintage Antique Victorian Brown Bird Cage Heart Design Wire and Wood
For auction is a vintage/antique brown bird cage with a working door that latches. I do not know it's exact age. It is made of wire that is shaped in the design of hearts; the rest is wood or wood composite and the base is wood composite. It is app. 25 in. in height and a little over 37 in. in diameter for the top round wire part of the cage. Condition: The bird cage is weathered from its age with some chips on the wood composite that can be seen in the pics. and it's a bit dusty. I would be happy to email/post more pictures.

The block is made of solid, chestnut, and has a dark stain. The lovely geometric design featured on the face of the block was hand-carved. Also note that chestnut is a rare and valuable wood; it’s not commercially available due to the blight introduced between 1900& 1908. Which made the North American chestnut trees virtually extinct by 1940. There are a couple cracks stemming from the bottom edge of the block. We wanted to try to close them using some glue and clamps. But they add a nice, distressed charm to it and preferred to leave the decision up to you. Original Antique Victorian Iron Wall Sconce From Whitechapel. London Taken from a building renovation in the late 1990s and possibly the only one of its kind left from the area Description: Hello. This is an original antique Victorian wall sconce taken from Whitechapel, London, in the late 1990s. The item was on the ground floor of a building on New Road that was undergoing renovation from residential to commercial property(the street although once home to many in Victorian London now has many takeaways. Halal restaurants and cafes) The tenant was having a shop sign fitted to the front and when asked if the sconce could be removed from a covered side courtyard type entrance he happily agreed. The person who removed the sconce was the shop sign fitter. And fully aware of the significance of the item, kept it in his garage where it has remained ... moresince. There are no sconces left on buildings in Whitechapel- most having been damaged or thrown away- and it is very rare to find an original example of one from this area of London. Whitechapel is after all. The most notorious part of London having been the since of the Jack the Ripper murders. Although the sconce was retrieved from Whitechapel, the building's tenant did not know the history of the item such as how long it had been on the building, or when it was put there. In any case. Thankfully the sconce was rescued and persevered. It could now make an excellent collectors piece, or garden decoration for a large candle or hanging basket. Condition: The sconce has been repaired at the base part of the hinge. Look at the pictures and you will see a small patch of light metal that has been welded on to join together the two parts that had suffered a crack. The metal is pretty rusted and the oak wood mount is worn in places. It still functions and moves freely on the hinge. Shipping: All items are dispatched the next working day after payment. These are a very nice and unusual carved wood bullseyes. They have a soft minty green painted color that was done years ago. These measure 5 1/2" wide and are 8" tall. There is a little added piece of wood to the top. Which one is loose, so you may want to add a nail. Both pieces are together as one listing. Sold as a Pair. Each piece is made of solid heartpine, is painted white, and has a lovely, fluted detail on one side. Two of the pieces were installed on the right and left side of the window which they were removed from. Awesome Old VICTORIAN Wood Header CHIPPY crackle green gorgeous SHABBY PATINA original hardware. This is a great piece. I was told it came out of a Victorian home in Ohio. The paint is a beautiful crackle green finish and it has a piece of the original hardware still attached. Its in great shape for it's age, the only damage I notice is on the left corner of the crown molding, it is cracked and splintered(can be glued) and the paint has flaked off. The other corner has some damage but not as bad. The back side I might mention has some damage where it was preyed of the wall. There is no paint on top of the crown molding and the other end where the molding was cut to fit the space. Great character and statement piece.
