The interior of the lid has a partially padded floral fabric stitched to it with the sperratic stitches visible on exterior. The fabric is aged and could use un-mounting and cleaning. The basket itself is in very good to excellent condition and just has patina and dirt accumulations from passage of time. I swabbed some of the dirt but I guess the correct thing would be to unmount the inner lid fabric and do a fast soap and water rinse. 10 1/8 inchs widest diameter. 4 inches in height. Restored Glued Joints, Floral Medallion over Scaled Splat over Fluted Legs Item# 120011WPP25 This is a beautiful French Louis XVI Period side chair from the last quarter of the 18th Century. Probably crafted in France though there are no impressed maker stamp marks to verify origin. It has a strong Neoclassical influence to the design, the overall appeal favoring square symmetrical lines with a sense of reservation throughout. The embellishments are complicated and impressive, but contained to only a few- the crest for example is a layered infinity-motif beneath a squared and overall plain molded frame, flanked by round layered rosettes at each corner. By choosing not to heavily carve the entire frame ... moreof the back, the eye is immediately drawn to the incredible splat work, a deep floral carving of multiple dimensions over a scaled tapered pillar resting on a fluted plinth. Each of the four corners is pinned with tiny wooden pegs. The seat is a beautiful green damask upholstery. Tacked around the three visible edges with round brass upholstery nails(the back edge is left untacked) The apron is molded, each corner a square-framed circle motif, the entire chair resting over four turned and tapered deeply fluted legs. The entire surface of the chair is first covered with a thin layer of gesso, this covered in a green and beige paint with heavy patination and oxidization throughout. It is an incredibly charming overall presentation, the chair joints strong for regular active use as a functional chair in your home. This is a fine little chair you will use regularly, either beside a hall table, as a chair in front of the desk in your study or as a highlight piece beside the fireplace. The base has a very cool shape that is evocative of bistro tables or garden tables, with some rust as is typical with age. This is an Original 1890's Old Green Painted Wooden Wash Tub in Good Original Condition. Measures about 23" in diameter at the top. 19" in diameter at the bottom, and 12" tall. Has the original wood and wire handles, bottom is hand chamfered. the metal rings are original. The boards are a tongue and groove construction. Primitive Blue Green Painted Foot Locker Small Tool Chest Trunk 4H Lift Top Folk
Painted pine primitive six-panel trunk or foot locker. This piece has a layer of blue paint over green paint and has a 4-H logo stencilled on the lift top. Sturdy construction with dovetail corners and applied molding around the bottom and iron braces at the corners. Beautiful stamped metal handles have been attached to the side. Brass key surround at the front lock. Unsure of exact age- the trunk itself probably dates from the 1800's. But its most recent paint job has to have been after 1910, when the 4-H logo was created. It may have been built as a tool chest and then repurposed for tack. Overall. This piece is in very good condition, although there is significant wear to the paint and some wear and minor damage to the wood itself. There is also some rust around the bolts that secure the hinges. No other significant damage. The trunk ... moremeasures 24 1/2" long and 13 1/4" wide and stands 11 1/4" tall. This listing is for a very nice antique cut glass bowl. This bowl has been completely hand painted in all of the cuts. The cuts are rose blossoms. Stems with thorns and flowers. The rim is gold. There is some wear on all of the hand painting. I have tried to show this in the pictures. Take a look. This bowl is from the late 1800s, early 1900s. I feel the wear is honest wear from years of washings and cleanings. It measures 7 3/8" across and stands 2 1/4" tall. There are no chips or cracks. The bottom is ground flat with cuttings. Up for auction are these vintage salt& pepper shaker. See Pictures) These shakers are made of ceramic. They are 2 1/2" tall with allot of detail. The back ground is soft green and white. Antique Primitive Pine Lift Top Trunk Painted Green Tool Chest Country Folk
Antique green lift top chest. Classic primitive or country style. It looks like it was made from pine and has a basic six-panel construction. The top is made from three framed boards with a raised piece on top. Iron side handles and a molded base. Paint looks original or at least very old. Interior has sections for holding things in the front and stepped sides to hold boxes up. There are also strips of gathered leather attached to the top that may have been for tools and a cut-out"L" shape that may have held a carpenter's square. So it seems likely that this trunk was probably a tool chest at some point. Trunk probably dates from the late 19th or early 20th century. Overall. Pair Of Hand Blown/Painted Victorian Green Glass Vases 7 3/4" Tall -Ruffle Top
This is a really beautiful pair of Victorian hand blown and painted green glass vases that are each 7 3/4 inches tall. The vases are decorated with white Lily Of The Valley flowers. Small dot flowers, white icicles and ornate gold trim. The vases both have pontil marks on the base and are numbered in gold paint"4" and"5" I have no idea what the numbers mean. Vase number"4" rocks a little when you first put it down which is not surprising on a hand blown piece. The base is 3 1/2 inches wide at the widest point. The base is 2 7/8 inches across. The ruffled top of the vase is 2 1/4 inches wide while the opening is 1 inch wide. The vases are not marked, with the exception of the numbers, and are in excellent vintage condition. There is wear and slight paint loss around the neck of the vases where they were handled ... morethe most. I am also listing a matching covered bowl that the lid is also a bud vase. I bought this entire collection at an estate sale from a family that had the most extensive collection of collectible glass I have ever seen. It was so large, they have the same estate sale every month so they can get everything displayed and every time we go, there is always a ton of items I did not see before. It is a multi level house and I think they are doing it floor by floor. There are no marks on this piece and it is in excellent vintage condition condition, there are areas where the gold paint has worn off on the areas where the piece was handled most. This beautiful antique Noritake tea strainer has a white background set off by a green top and two floral trios featuring flowers- one purple. One orange and yellow, and one pink flower, each. The tea strainer has three feet and a handle that are hand painted with gold Victorian designs. Several of the holes in the well of the strainer are also painted gold. The bottom of the strainer is marked with the green"M" wheat marking indicative of being manufactured between 1920 and 1940. Nice on the inside. 9" tall; 6.5" diameter at the bottom. I guess they used these for dry goods and meat storage. I can find no markings. Too bad since i am in Red Wing country.
