Up for auction are four unusual Lucite balls. They all measure approx. 11 1/2" in circumference. Stems are all a bit different but they are approx. 4 1/2" l. I have no idea what they were used for. But were told they date to the 1960's by the person who sold them to me. Just great looking. I have sold a few at $10 each and still have more than the 4 shown. Hello.This is for a gas valve that would run straight into your home with out a meter.In these parts we use to tap into our natural gas at the home and the gas would come through these Valves and into your home.This is a practice no longer encouraged because of the fires and death that would ensue.I found this at a site on the creek where a house was pushed into the creek when the new road was built back in the sixties.This is all I know as of now on this artifact from Mid western history. Antique Copper Art Deco Hexagon Aquarium Terrarium Fish Tank Mid Century Modern
This is a beautiful and rare early mid century copper aquarium. It is in very good condition with some minor scratches on the glass panels and natural tarnish on the copper frame. The caulking is loose but the panels are not. It is missing the bottom panel. The panel could be replaced with Plexyglass or similar for a quick fix and the joints will need to be re-caulked to hold water. It measures 16" on the diagonal and 14" wide from flat side to flat side, it measures 14" tall and the inside depth is about 9.75" It is sturdy and strong with no looseness in the metal joints. Mid-Century Maple Gymnasium Flooring 1000 square feet (approx)
We acquired this flooring from a colleague in the salvage business who had purchased it for his home. But never used it. He stored it in a vacant house for several years, and recently decided to sell it to us. It's in great condition, very clean and dry. Unfortunately we did not count and measure all the pieces, but we estimate there to be over 1000 square feet in the lot. The pictures show a sample taken on the day we unloaded it(3 pickup truck loads) and where we have it stored on pallet racking. I took a couple pictures of a short piece to show how it looks up close. The face is 2 1/4 inches and it is 3/4 inch thick at the thickest part. The pair once served as the bed posts of a footboard on a Mid Century, Art Deco/Egyptian Revival bed. The pair features large brass lion heads with nice detailing. The bodies are fluted wood columns that taper very slightly toward the bottom. The raised bases are brass. There are screw holes up and inside the bases. Vintage Mid Century Drinking Fountain - Attach to Hose Spigot - Attach Hose
Vintage Drinking Fountain- Attach to Hose Spigot Attach a Water Hose or Cap Closed the Other End With the water turned on. Depress the button plunger at the base of teh stem to dispense cold water! The basin drains to the ground by the open metal tube at the bottom. The plunger can be loosened and then the body of the drinking fountain rotated. So that it is attached upright at the spigot. The small screw near the plunger controls the rate of water flow at the output of the fountain. About 11 1/2" tall. Bowl is 3 1/4" in Diameter A cool old Mid Century drinking fountain that would be great at parties. A real conversation piece.

Wonderful recent estate sale purchase. Hand wrought brass lavabo from Italy dates to the 1950s/60s. Tank with lid measures 28" long and 13" across. Bottom piece is 7" long and 13" across. Bottom piece has a vinyl type liner. Not sure if this piece is original. No dings or damage. Beautiful warm old patina. Lightweight hammered and rolled brass. An exceptional beauty. Thanks for visiting Vintage Apt. you never know what the Gypsy Lady will bring! Large Aluminum Bell Wow. Neat quite large aluminum bell. This bell was installed on the top of a fence in the backyard leading to the family's pool. When I acquired this great bell at the estate sale a neighbor several doors down told me he and his family had been listening to that bell for over 50 years as it rang out regularly! Measurements. It's approx 14" high(of course if you found a finial you wanted to use. It would be that much higher) It is about 14" wide at the yoke's sides. The bottom rim of the bell itself is about 9 1/2" across. Condition. It's been outdoors for a long. Long time and shows typical wear from the elements. Might have had a finial, but that is gone. I think one or two screws are missing. Structurally it's ... morein good condition and is ready for 50 and more years!
