At the time of listing I had 2 of the single inlet models. And 2 with two cable inlets. The cable inlets are brass which is a nice feature. They are sturdy, tasteful and a bit different. They would be fine on ceilings or on a wall, though be mindful if on a wall they would stick out a bit. Industrial rather than maritime they would look great anywhere you put them. I've had quite a bit of industrial items from the former communist East Germany of late so I suspect they originate from there. The ribbed ... moreglass is in good condition, the insides have light oranging from minor surface corrosion but otherwise they are fine. They have 3 retaining clips that hold the glass in place making a good tight fixing. The lamp holders are good and take a standard sized E27 bulb. There a 2 very solid fixings on each light I do my best to match items when people buy quantities but each light is rather unique. Please note these lights are not suitable for wet area's(bathrooms) or heavily exposed outdoor area's. The seals are good especially. But these lights are not rated for wet area's. I would say these are best suited to covered area's or dry indoor use as this is safest and will best prolong their life. These windows have the rare and highly sought after'wormy chicken wire glass' referring to the textured pattern. One side of the frame has a greenish patina while the other side has white paint over a really cool frame with rivets! Some large sized explosion proof lights. These came out of a former GDP factory, probably munitions, and a striking pieces. The pictures(shot in good sunlight) have unfortunately highlighted the surface rust on the cage, it is very superficial when you see it. I will make sure to clean them up a bit more before sending out. These lights have a Honex glass, almost indestructible it's thick, strong and the glass has no chips or marks of note. The catch to release the glass is a bit tricky, and once done you have to undo the screw on the opposite side ... moreto access inside. Some have different writing inside, to coin a phrase"it's all German to me" some say explosion proof or similar some do not, they all are I am sure. Inside the large lamp holder does in fact take a standard size E27 screw in bulb, the connecting points are in excellent order, near new. According to the plate they take up to 100 Watt bulbs, I know if I kept one I would stick a large round long life bulb in there for a really funky look. The outlet lugs vary, some are covered some not, the opposite ones have 2 different types as well. I do my best to match items when people buy quantities but each light is rather unique. Please note these lights are not suitable for wet area's(bathrooms) or heavily exposed outdoor area's. The seals are good. But these lights are not rated for wet area's. I would say these are best suited to covered area's or dry indoor use as this is safest and will best prolong their life. The mounting plates have a single fixing making the light sit away from the wall. You could modify this be removing and creating recesses into the wall for a flush fit quite easily using the right sized drill bit. If you want more
