Description This is an exceptional staircase that was salvaged from a Victorian Mansion in Clarion. PA. We have pretty much everything. Two newel posts. Railings, barley twist balusters, moldings, landings, and paneling. As you walked in the front door. The staircase was just ahead. You take three steps to the first landing. Turn right and up two steps to the second landing. Turn right and up 13 steps to the second floor. Turn right to hallway railing that is 153 inches long. Handrail going up 13 steps is 129 long. Landing 1 is 41.25 long by 40.25 wide. Landing 2 is 39.75 by 39.25. The steps are just over 7 inches high by 11.25 deep. My guy calls this a 7-10 rise. The first floor newel post is 85 inches tall with a paneled shaft. Carved cap and turned finial. The second floor newel is 51.25 inches from the top to the floor. It has carvings ... moreat the top and great ornate moldings and a big finial on the first floor ceiling. This newel post is nailed into the joist and goes through to the first floor ceiling. 41.75 Feet of Craftsmen, Quarter sawn oak wainscot
You're bidding on 41.75' lineal feet of original quarter sawn oak wainscot from a dining room in an Arts and Crafts Bungalow in Bluffton. IN. I have misc trim pieces to help with finish out. The building was constructed about 1910 so this is original, virgin timber wainscot. The original finish was clear and later it was painted. The paint has been removed and it all now appears as the photo above. The original clear finish allowed this to be stripped clean. No paint left. Please note that the below dimensions show the panels varying slightly in width. This was due to the room's configuration(length of walls) It's very unlikely that the panels that are 11" wide will be able to be discerned from those that are 10" in width if placed next to each other. Quarter Sawn Oak Cabinet Face Raised Panel Pair Doors Architectural Salvage
From early home. Brings this nice cabinet front in quarter sawn oak. With two raised panel doors, and the front frame with a divider in the center. Was in the library of the home, recessed in the wall, matching the paneling in the room, appeared to be hidden. Overall measures 68" wide X 71" high, each door measures 26-1/2" wide x 58-3/4" high. Each door has a brass finger pull for opening. Was hard to photograph the frame, there wasn't an empty space to put it so you could see it easily. The second photo shows how it would look finished. I don't have the doors hinged to the frame, they are on the floor, but should be about 5" higher which is why the opening is at the top. The center panel has a hole where a sconce was mounted. Large Pair 1900's Quarter Sawn Oak Three Section Multi Shelf Bookcase Salvage
Our last salvage job. An early 1900's home, brings this lovely pair of quarter sawn oak bookcases. First photo shows one in the home. From a library, the pair flanked a beautiful mantel. At each end of the room, a panel of oak that sat at the end of the bookcase, along with another long horizontal panel along the top. Measures 5' high, 8' wide, and 13-1/4" deep. Is divided into three sections, with notched shelf holders as seen in the photos. Have the shelves as well as the drawers that are along the bottom, a couple of the pulls are missing. In great condition. Adding more photos soon. Will list the mantle with alcove, beams, windows and more from this exquisite room. Impressive Alcove 1890's Quarter Sawn Oak Warming Niche Columns Mantel
From our most recent salvage job. A alcove warming room with mantel of quarter sawn oak, two ornate columns, with raised quarter sawn paneled walls, and two bench seats with brass finger pulls, has storage below. Most of the photos are when the mantel and alcove were still together in the home. You will get the columns, all the paneling in the alcove, in safe storage) as well as the limestone insert. Have been told this style was where Frank Lloyd Wright got his inspiration. A quiet niche when back in the day you would come home in a buggy or sleigh, entering through the back door to a small wonderful place to warm up. Overall the outside alcove approximately measures 10' 8" wide. 6'10" high. Mantle measures 6' 4" wide, 4' high. Firebox opening dimensions are 4' 6" wide x 3" high. Heavy Antique Quarter Sawn Oak Beams 14' 8" x 10 x 7 Three Sided
Here we have two long oak beams. Created from three lengths of oak. Each beam measures 14' 8" long, 7" high, 10" wide, both in great condition. From a note beneath one of the beams, they were put in place in 1926. The last couple photos are the room the beams were removed from. A mansion, we were glad to rescue these great pieces.
