Pair of Vintage exterior fanned pediment architectural salvage
Here are a couple of Vintage fanned pediments that could be used for exterior decor above doors or for any creative idea. They each measure roughly 70" long by 20" tall by 3" thick. They are in decent shape except for a couple of cracks(picture 7) These are easily repaired and then with a couple coats of fresh paint they are gone. The chips are on the back of one of them(pictures 5&6) and should not affect them as your casings. Mouldings and siding will hide them. A wonderful carved wood antique French door cresting or pediment. This has the most lovely deep carving and scrolls. There is the classic French shell carving at the top scrolling down to swirling art nouveau-ish acanthus leaves- it's quite beautiful. It measures approx. 81 x 31 cms. It stands proud by approx. 10 cms. this is the depth of the decorative carving at the top. The base stands proud by approx. 4 cms. In very good condition with just a tiny slither missing from one side of the top. Not very easy to see but it's there- or rather nor there. Showing in the last photo. There are some holes at the top of each end where there would once have been some twiddly bits. It's has a light'lime' wash to accentuate the fabulous richly carved detail. It weighs just over 3kgs. Antique architectural salvage cast iron overdoor pediment
This heavy cast iron overdoor pediment came from a local estate. It is cast in heavy cast iron and has seen several paint incarnations and is in the style of Louis XVI. The current one is gold over a dark translucent brown. The overall effect is quite stunning and will certainly stand out on any gable or over a door as intended. The piece is intact with no defects. Just several layers of paint. Measurements are: 30" by 11 ½" and 1 ½" deep.

Very decorative and very French. Wonderful shape and very stylish. It measures approx. 110.5 cms in length- 44 inches. The height is approx. 34 cms-13.5inches. It will stand proud by approx. 8 cms- 3 inches. This is being sold as I found it- fresh from a country brocante. The right hand carved piece has the very end and a couple of leaf tips missing- this is showing in one of the photo's. Evidence of past worm holes- I don't think this is active. FRENCH ANTIQUE CORNICE- PEDIMENT- DOOR CRESTING. Fabulous door cornice hand carved in oak. Measuring 68cm long x 24cm deep. The cornice features two lions either side of a shield like crest which is topped with an overhanging spray of leaves. This overhang projects by approximately 4cm from the rest of the carving. It is totally complete. With no missing bits. There is evidence that the right hand bottom section has at one time been cracked but this has been very well repaired(see last photograph) In wonderful condition considering it's great age. Late 1800's Cast Iron Parlor Stove Pediment with Trent Stove Tile. Victorian parlor stoves were very ornate and often decorated with ceramic tiles that were custom made to fit into the cast iron. The 2-piece cast iron pediment exhibits stylized Gothic Revival motifs. It is nickel plated.With wear and surface rust.A little elbow grease with OOO steel wool may bring up more of the plating. The tile is marked Trent(Trenton,NJ) and has chips as seen on some high points,but no cracks. The crescent shaped notch is moulded into the tile at the factory to prevent round tiles from spinning,as it sits around a pin in the cast iron. Look closely at the center of the carving and some of the thin layers have come apart and need secured if you want. Each piece is 19" long for a total length of 38" Thickness is 3/4" There is a raised piece that runs above the zigzag pattern and the thickness of that piece and the main piece combined is 1 1/4" Eastlake design. This piece has been stripped of most of it's original finish. Nice carved detail. Missing pieces to build or rebuild or create something new. Not sure what the wood is. I believe the carving is hand done as it does not line up perfectly-see photo-the pieces are the same but not identical. Antique salvaged pieces.

Antique French heraldic pediment. Natural wood patina. c1890
This is an antique French petit pediment. Measuring approx 13 1/2" wide x 6 1/2" tall it has a lovely honest. Natural patina. Hand carved from a single piece of wood it has a few hair line cracks but nothing that affects it strength or charm. In its natural untreated wood finish it would be immediately ready to paint. Stain or wax to your own preferences though it would be a real shame to cover that natural patina.

An antique French moulding. Pediment, cornice or cresting. This has a good classic look. Good length and interesting design. Excellent central design of a bunch of hanging figs and leaves. Lovely classic swirling scrolls either side. There are scuffs and nibbles and the very top of centre seems to have been sliced off. Probably done to fit in it's past. There is a small slither missing from the very far left side. 2 small wooden pegs on the base- probably to be removed. 4 small and ancient holes from long gone worm in the back. Outside 2 have vertical grooves that match the middle one. Parallel grooves also along the bottom and top trim. 2 other recessed panels have classic Eastlake/easthetic carving. Very good central details of a raised anemone or daisy with this falling overhanging tulip above. Really unusual and rather beautiful. Perfect size with and overall length of approx. 24 inches and a height of 10.5 inches. It measures approx: 24 inches- 62 cms in length. The overall height is 10.5 inches- 26 cms.
