The paneling is tiger oak and is done with craftsmanship that is not seen anymore! The ornate crown molding is gesso over wood. It is done so well that it truly looks like carved wood. The door is also included. The overall dimensions of the room are 14 feet x 12 feet making approximately 52 linear feet of paneling at 9 feet high. including the crown molding and the door We have more of the paneling available from adjacent rooms and an ornate entryway and foyer with matching doors and Gothic arch. This is a quite stunning wooden oak pediment with the female head centrally with other relief carvings of acorns and leaves of which: During our research we have been informed it dates from the mid period of the 19th century and is of black forest origin. Dates about c1840. Relief carvings of the oak leaves and acorns to either side of: The quite stunning head of the female with the surrounding carvings. A ribbon to the base centrally. Rectangular in shape with the carved arch above with the end sections. The pediment has an overall size of about 40.5 x 19inches. Max depth of about 3inches. Condition: Considering the age. ARCHITECTRAL- OAK DECORATED PAIR- SALVAGE Approximate measurements: a) 19" x 2 1/2" 9 1/2" x 3/4" b) 19" x 2 1/2" 9 1/2" x 3/4" Approximate weight: 7 lbs. An oak pair of.detail pieces is what I am listing. They were part of a table that an older feller had stuffed in his barn and used for who know what. It was a horrid brown poopy color. And cream. And red, and another brown.and you get where I am going. There is still some paint in the crevices where the embellishments are placed. The details are added and not part of the larger wood. The oak is quarter sawn so it has that amazing tiger oak look. The measurements are without the pegs since they all aren't there. I am sure that the artist in you will think of beautiful items that these could become. I am located in central Illinois and used to own ... morea small sawmill business. A few years ago we sold the saw but kept the lumber thinking of all the wonderfully beautiful things that could be created with the wood.furniture. Art, and anything in between. Well, three years later I haven't even made a dent in the inventory. Knowing that a move is coming, and not really wanting to move it, my treasure trove of amazing looking lumber is open to you. Most of the trees were removed from building sights and some were also salvaged from tree services. Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia. PA Victorian Home. They are made of oak and are painted. They were originally part of a set of doors that were beyond repair so we removed the decorative elements. There are several quatrafoil panels. We also have moldings that form a Gothic arcade. The squares are 7.75 inches square. It is approx 9 feet of Gothic arches by 7.5 feet tall. Overall. It is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There are some missing moldings and various breaks. The Gothic arches are molding pieces without any backing boards. Three Tiger Oak panels: The smaller 2 panels are 47 11/16" x 24 3/32" at the base. The narrower measurement is 22 1/16" The large panel is 47 11/16" x 61 3/16" The depth of all panels at the base is about 2" The narrower measurement is about 1" These were salvaged from a church somewhere in the mid-west in the 1970's or 80's. My dad's friend salvaged church organs and came home with these one day. Don't know the age of the panels but they are beautiful solid oak. They are still in very good condition. There are two small red stains and some scuffing along the base of the large panel. The construction is identical on all three. Except that there is no return on the bottom of the large panel.
