Up for auction is a rare map of North Dakota that scrolls out of a metal case. It was made by Pathfinder Auto Company in Minneapolis. Minnesota. It is in really nice condition for it's apparent age(unknown as it has no date) The case is 13" long and the map measures 17" wide when it is pulled out. As I understand it, it was attached to the window of the car and pulled down to look at it. I have never seen one of these and I bet it would be a great find for any antique collector! Philip Denoyer geographer. It has very interesting subject matter of 1880- 1892 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS. ANTIQUE PULL DOWN MAP SET IN BEAUTIFUL OAK CASE Set of 8 World Maps- Unrivaled Series 1 State Map of Kansas An amazing pull down map set in a beautiful oak cabinet. I have many more photos so PLEASE CONTACT ME with your email and I will send them to you. I have shown several maps. In varying conditions. The description of the maps follows and I have photos of all maps. This is a beautiful Oak Cabinet with a nice set of 9(8 matching) pull down maps. There is one state map of Kansas that does not belong to the series. It appears to be quite old, but has no date that I can find. The remaining 8 maps are from a series titled"Unrivaled Maps" and include: North America, South America, Asia, United States, Africa, Europe, Western Hemisphere and Eastern Hemisphere. I have not been able to find a date on these maps but I believe they are ... moreearly 1900's. I will try to describe each of these as best I can and I have many additional photos that I have available to send to you if you are interested. The oak case measures 47" in length. 18" in height and is 4 1/2" deep. It is quarter-sawn oak and is well made and old. The front of the cabinet is hinged and opens to display maps and allow them to be"pulled-down" Each map is held in by a pin on one side and a slot on the other. The front of the cabinet has hook and eye closures on both side and a lock on the front(which I do NOT have a key for) It is a beautiful cabinet and is excellent condition. Maps All 9 of the maps are in used condition. None are pristine and several are in bad condition. I believe of the 9 I would rate 3 as being in good. 3 in fair and 3 in poor condition. The North America, Asia and United States maps are in good condition with areas of fraying along the edges and bottom, creases and soiling and some minor tears. Antique Canvas Map Ancient Greece New Testament School Wall Historical Pull down
Here is an old(antique) Large. Pull down map of ancient Greece(looks like the Pauline age) It does have some discoloration at the bottom- in some of the pictures you'll notice some lines and shading that aren't on the map they are just shadows behind it(sorry bad pictures) the map is in otherwise good shape. There is no date on the map itself but the latest patent date on the pole is 1901 so I'm assuming the map dates around that era. I'm not sure if the coil mechanism works- I have done my best to describe this item and as such it is sold as is.

Antique Early 1900's Pull Down Classroom Map of Asia
For sale is an incredible antique school wall map of Asia that was manufactured in Chicago. Illinois by A.J. Nystrom& Co. This wonderfully aged map is printed on a canvas material and comes with the original metal bracket which still works and is very easy to mount. Due to the fragile nature of the map, it must be removed from the metal bracket to roll it up and down by hand. Have no fear though, it's very easy to do. The original wooden rod is still attached to the bottom of the chart. This map would look great hanging in your library or study or would serve as a great educational work of art in your child's bedroom! Additional details: Measurements(with bracket) Approximately 54.25" Long x 41” wide Circa: 1920's Item Condition: Good antique condition! Colors remain bold and vivid. As noted above. You will need to roll ... moreup/down the map by hand due to its fragile nature. Surface of map has light soilage from years and years of use. Canvas has some normal wear such as wrinkles, bends, frayed edges, light soilage, spotting, etc. The bottom green canvas material has some tearing(as seen in picture#5) as well as water staining and creasing from being rolled up for many years. There is some liquid staining along the bottom and right hand corner corner. Near the bottom center of the map, about 4 or 5 inches below Sumatra, a chunk of the map's surface has worn away, exposing the canvas material beneath. There is also a very small puncture in the map at the very top, along the white border. Depending on how much you unroll the map you may not even see it. We tend to think that each of these flaws adds to the overall wonderful antique look of this piece. Please take a gander at the pictures for further details.

Antique Vintage Cram's Physical-Political Asia Large Pull Down Map - Markable
Here is an Antique Vintage Cram's Physical-Political Large Pull Down Map of Asia. These were used in schools and this one appears to have been produced in 1964. These are Markable-Kleenable. You can mark on them and then simply rub off the markings. The map itself measures approximately 50 5/8" wide and 57 1/2" long when extended down. The total width of the map in its holder is 55 1/4" wide and these holders work like a pull down window shade. These are made with some kind of canvas on the back and are heavy duty. This rolls up, sometimes it takes a couple of pulls just like a window shade but I seem to remember these being like this even when they were new. This is in good clean used condition, some of white area does have some light yellowing but now bad. Antique Pull Down School Map of Africa, George F Cram Co, Excello series, OLD
This is an old pull down school map on linen. It is a map of the Africa. Dimensions are 43.5" wide x 56" long. There is no date to be found. Just that it is the Excello Series, and The George F Cram Company, Inc; Indianapolis 7, Indiana. It has French West Africa which ended in 1960. The condition of this map is not great as it has staining from previous moisture damage. There is staining present on the back side of the linen some is mildew stained. The front of the map has some age stains also. I personally think it has a lot of character and think it has great decorating potential. It rolls up and down well. It has been stored indoors in a dry environment for 30+ years so any stains that came from moisture happened well before that. This map is old and I wish I could get info on the exact date. DENOYER GEPPERT 1916 ANTIQUE EUROPEAN HISTORY PULL DOWN SCHOOL MAP
This is one of many old school maps I have in cases that came from a demolished school in Prairie City Illinois. I bought them over 35 years ago. They've been in my attic since then. They are copywrited 1916 and say 5th edition 1923. They are pull down maps with an oak hanger that holds the rewinding roll. The back of the oak hanger has 2 flip up metal tabs with holes for screws that I use to hang them. Each map measures 44" wide and 30" tall. 2 maps on each roll as shown. This map(H23) Is EUROPE 100 years ago(1914)The other(H27) is EUROPE after the great war in 1920. Almost 6 feet tall. VIVID color. Pull-down rod is gone but I have one I'll send with it. Very educational maps. The wooden rod on the bottom has the pull down ring. These have heavy canvas material on the backs. There's a little wear on the outer edge from ... moreage but overall great condition and color. These would make 2 great framed maps. Good luck.

This auction is for an old pull down map. It is of Europe. I would say it is from the 1920's. It is made by Denoyer-Geppert. The map itself was drawn by R. Baxter Blair. The map measures approx. 42 inches wide and approx. 52 inches long. It is attached with the brackets on what appears to be the original wood board. The springs get a little stuck and sometimes takes a few pulls to get it to roll back up. The map itself has some condition issues as can be seen in the photos.
