HAND CRAFTED, BETWEEN THE LATE 1700'S TO EARLY 1800'S THIS FABULOUS ANTIQUE CHILD'S TRAVELING BED IS FROM MY PRIVATE COLLECTION AND IS EXTREMELY RARE. AS YOU CAN SEE I'VE USED IT IN MY HOME AS A TELEVISION STAND AND FOR DISPLAYING OTHER ANTIQUES ALL THIS TIME. I BOUGHT IT FROM AN ANTIQUE DEALER IN SAN DIEGO. CA MANY, MANY YEARS AGO AND HE TOLD ME AT THAT TIME IT IS MADE OF TEAK WOOD AND FROM INDONESIA, CRAFTED SOMETIME BETWEEN THE LATE 1700'S AND EARLY 1800'S. I CAN IN NO WAY VERIFY THESE DATES OTHER THAN IT SURE APPEARS TO ABSOLUTELY BE FROM A TIME AND DATE THAT YOU AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN. IT IS MADE WITH SOLID WOOD, VERY STURDY AND STRONG THO THE WHEELS ARE A BIT WOBBLY NOW AND MISSING ONE OF IT'S DOWELS. IT IS A HEAVY ... morePIECE AND THO I'VE MOVED IT A FEW INCHES THIS WAY AND THAT IT IS REALLY TOO HEAVY TO BE MOVING ON IT'S WHEELS. No Reserve Antique SIGNED Microscope Brass, Silk Candle-Shade - Est. 1700/1800's
Offered is a unique. Very rare and remarkably well preserved English antique lacquered brass microscope candle holder and shade in a lovely shagreen case. Once assembled. The shade can be adjusted via the telescoping base into the required position to provide light to the microscope and protect the user from the glare of the flame. I would estimate this as dating somewhere between the late 1700’s to early 1800’s. Although I cannot say with certainty as it is challenging to pinpoint so please make your own judgement as well regarding age. As a wonderful bonus. This also has a beautifully written signature on the bottom of the stand. Which states“ B. Barth. London. This lovely item consists of five pieces(case. Telescoping base, shade, base attachment and candle holder) The“X” shaped stand of the base folds. And the telescoping arm extends. ... moreTo lock the telescoping arm in place. The candle holder needs to be attached otherwise it slides back down(likely how it was designed) The thin cylinder serves as the joining piece between the telescoping base and the shade. Other than the stand. All the pieces fit well into the case, which has a nice lining. As can be expected with thin telescoping attachments. The fully assembled piece is not perfectly rigid; however, it stands nicely with only a marginal tilt between the two telescoping sections(again, just likely how it was designed) The case opens and closes by gently pushing the notch on the front and flipping it open and closed with your thumb. The shade/ fan is original and appears to be made of silk or similar material. As shown in the pictures. It has some wear commensurate with age and careful use, as well as some tears; however. It is amazingly well preserved for its age. It still folds in and out very nicely. But, of course, it is very old so you have to show care. Fully assembled and extended. It measures approximately 50 centimetres tall(approximately 20 inches) Again. Overall, the set is in very nice condition. There is some wear to the lacquer a

This piece came from Europe and is truly Baroque style. This is very ornately hand carved. The drip pans for the umbrella stands are missing and there is a split in the bottom shelf that runs across where the drip pans would be. There are 4 wooden dowels that serve as racks to hold hats or coats on the upper portion of the stand. Originally I believe there were 6 racks but looks like 2 are missing. ... moreThere is a long oval mirror in the center upper portion of the back. The mirror looks very old. It may be the original mirror. There is a lot of discoloration around the edges of the mirror. There is a glove box in the center of the stand with a hinged lid. There are bun feet on the front. This item is in great condition for being 200 years old however it is antique and will not be perfect. I do not know the exact age or who made it. This stand measures 76 7/8 inches tall, 30 ¾ inches side to side and 14 ¾ inches front to back. It weighs 54 pounds. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested. ANTIQUE SOLID OAK BUTLERS HUTCH SIDEBOARD CHINA BUFFET CIRCA LATE 1700
18th century solid oak Butlers Hutch This was purchased over 30 years ago at the Antique Buyers guild( The old Helms Bakery L.A) We where told at the time of the purchase that it dates to the late 1700's and was made in the Adam period French in origin. It is a impressive piece of furniture. It is all hand carved solid oak. The cabinets each have one shelf inside bottom is sagging so I placed a piece of hard board in there. It has a incredible dark patina. It measures approx. 94 1/2" tall 47" wide under 24" deep The hutch is attached to the base using dowels So it lifts off the base From what I remember they only stick out a inch You need at least a 8' ceiling. My home was built in the late 1940's so the ceilings are 8'2" a newer home might be a tight fit. Years ago because I was concerned about earthquakes ... moreI attached 2) 2"x4"s to the back to make it sturdier. They are stained to match. So for those of you with a tight fit. I think it could be set up without the dowels across the back because of the 2" x4"s the 2 spindles in the front supporting the hutch also come off. There are dowels sticking out both ends. You could leave one end in and maybe put a screw trough the bottom. One other modification I noticed will up inside the cabinet is that wood was added on both sides under the base's top( I would guess the top may have been sagging under the weight of the Hutch) hence the addition. There are 2 small dowels missing on the rail on the inside( good place) hardly noticeable. One small piece gone off the top. Again hardly noticeable. I didn't catch it when I bought it. Other then that as you can see it is impressive without being over bearing. I don't need to sell so I don't plan on dropping my prices. This price is what I want to part with it. If you want it but can't pick it up contact me to see if we can work something out. LOCAL PICKUP MEANS.NO SHIPPING AVAILABLE. PAY FOR ITEM WHEN PICKED UP. NO ELECTRONIC METHODS ACCEPTED.

Most of the time any edge splits are short. Minor, insignificant and have been closed- either long ago or more recently with small pieces of archival tape. Most often these splits are trivial and easy to overlook visually. Basically, they would not significantly affect the piece adversely. The item is offered as seen. Antique Wooden Carving of Saint, Disciple, circa 1600-1700's Santos
Antique Wooden Carving of Saint. Disciple, circa 1600-1700's Santos Antique Wooden Carving of Saint. Disciple, circa 1600-1700's Santos This auction is for a carving that I bought from an estate in Switzerland. It shows a man with long hair and beard in a long fluted robe with a sash across his left shoulder. In the left hand. He is holding a book and in the right hand, either he has his hand folded under or the fingers are missing. I was told by an art expert that this is most likely a disciple because his head is turned sideways as if he were to be looking at Jesus. I don't know if it could be St. Peter or which one would be associated holding a book. When I bought this statue, it was not mounted but we had it mounted on this wooden platform. It could be just as easily removed if so desired. The color of the wood is a rich blackish ... morebrown with a very old aged patina. With the platform, he stands 14.25" high and without the platform, he stands 13.25" high and is 5" wide and 2" deep and he is flat on the back and there is a hole in the middle which makes me think that he was attached to a larger tableau- possibly in a church. MEDIEVAL ANTIQUE REVOLVING HAND CANNON MUSEUM QUALITY PIECE ARMY 1650-1700
Hello and Welcome to GOODTILLCANCELLED Auctions. We started this account to bring people hard to find rare items that we are selling for clients. Our asking prices are negoitable and we accept best offers. You are all ways welcome to email with price and someone will respond promptly. We have listed for your consideration AN ANTIQUE REVOLVING HAND CANNON MUSEUM QUALITY PIECE ARMY 1650-1700. This hand cannon from what I FOUND out c1650-1700 from China or Mongolia but Im not a expert. The piece has a hand forged. Nine barrel Iron Head of about of about 10" length for 18th Century battle use. Outstanding example features nine barrels of about.36 caliber by 3 1/2" length securely affixed via stacked, horizontal bands around a center piece& welded into place at top& bottom as well as sides with flared, quad-sided muzzle.See Photos) ... moreEach barrel was individually loaded and fused via touch hole at back end of this primitive, asiatic Revolver of course, and could be individually lit off via a quick-match or punk as the pole mounted gun was spun in the hand with pole under the arm. The fuse holes can clearly be seen at the back end where the"octopus" re-enforcement fingers are welded to the base of each barrel to prevent rearward motion. This unusual Revolving Cannon has of course taken on a very dark& grainy, though smooth, patina from almost two Centuries. The Muzzle shows some flaking& deterioration of the quad-sided front edges from salt air& gunpowder resaidue accellerated corrosion. but overall this piece and all barrels are still a virtual mono-block as originally made back in the early 1800s era, and we've no doubt it could be loaded& fired, though it;s proper place is of course on display. Antique European English Oak Armoire Late 1700's- Early 1800's All Pegged
This is a beautiful antique wardrobe of English origin. We believe this piece dates to the late 1700's/early 1800s. Constructed from oak. This is a solid piece of funiture with peg construction. We've put a high price on this item while we are still researching its value-please feel free to make an offer. Dated 1789 on bottom stamp. Standing on 3 legs. It measures approximately: 1.15" tall x 2.25" diameter Weighs approximately: 1.2 ounces Stamped on bottom with several stamps: A.B" 1789" A.A.K" and a symbol which appears to be the city mark of MOSCOW. One or two of the legs seems to be longer than the other-so even though it sits firmly on the table. It is slightly ... moreslanted. There are several deep scratches and milder scratches on the bottom of the item. One area of the top rim has been slightly dented in, but barely noticeable. I took photos in different lights to capture as much detail as possible. Item sold"AS-IS" please see photos. I have done my very best to describe this item as accurately as possible. North Africa great cartouche Sicily c.1603-1700 original antique engraved map Africa Proper Issued c. 1700(map has pencil date of 1603. But we are unsure if this is accurate- it could well be 1603, but to our eyes it seems closer in style to 1700) Fine original antique engraved map. Printed on quality paper which retains its inherent structural flexibility and soundness. With a fine large vignette cartouche. Note shape of Sicily at top center. In Good+ to near VG or better condition[note: we grade very conservatively and always seek to disclose any noteworthy flaws] The printed area remains visually pleasing. A nice impression of an interesting antique map. Any minor defects along the sheet edges and in the margins may be seen in the photos. Original fold-lines as issued. Sheet measures c. 12 3/4" W x 8 3/4" H. Engraved area measures ... morec. 11 3/4" W x 7 1/2" H. 21416] note: All old sheets of printed paper possibly have short edge splits. Each sheet has existed for a very long time and has probably been handled repeatedly in the course of it's existence. It has a history unique to it as an object. Most of the time any edge splits are short. Minor, insignificant and have been closed- either long ago or more recently with small pieces of archival tape. Most often these splits are trivial and easy to overlook visually. Basically, they would not significantly affect the piece adversely. The item is offered as seen. Please look carefully and make your decision knowing this antique image is nice. But it is not in perfect"like new" condition. However, with whatever flaws it possesses, it remains entirely worthy of ownership and inclusion in any related collection. We feel it will prove very pleasing to its new owner. We stand behind everything we sell. Everything we offer is guaranteed to be an authentic original antique item as described. We do not sell modern reproductions. Please visit our eBay Store. Antique Deacon's Bench Late 1700-early1800's- Solid Oak- 5 feet long
This beautiful solid oak hand-carved bench is a rare find. It measures 60 in. long. 43 in. high and 19 in. wide. The seat lifts up for storage. I inheirited it from my mother who received it from her mother. We believe it came from Germany or France but have not been able to find much information on it and certainly nothing like it. The bench is much darker than it looks in the pictures. Almost black with age. It is in near original condition with the exception of a small piece of wood on the seat which had to be repaired due to wear. It has only been wiped down with Murphy's Oil Soap to remove dust. What a wonderful addition this would be to home or office. If you would like more photos or information please write. We would prefer to have the buyer pick it up or arrange their own shipping. We will ship if necessary. Shipping cost depends ... moreon your location. Please write for quote. Thank you for looking.

In 1626 he became a citizen of Frankfurt and could henceforth work as an independent publisher. He spent most of his working life in Frankfurt. Early in his life.
