This is a rare find! These gorgeous carved doors are from the late 1860's. They are in good condition and come complete with the door jam and the molding. The molding is outrageously thick. Pair of Antique Diminutive English Garden Urns with Swirls and Filigree!
For your purview is a very sweet pair of antique. Turn of the century, cast iron English garden urns on sturdy plinths, 27" tall. Each urn is beautifully embossed with swirls and filigree with a ribbed base and center bun. Each individual plinth measures 12" tall and has an embossed center wreath of Laurel or Eucalyptus leaves. These urns have survived a number of decades that shows well on their distressed patinas. Each individual urn by itself is 15” tall with the top of the trumpet measuring 11” in diameter. Absolutely lovely filled with Forget-Me-Nots or wildflowers cascading down their sides. Asking $750 for the pair. Free pick up at a location near Chapel Hill, NC. Pair of Antique Cast Iron Horse Heads Gate Posts w/ Horseshoes
This is a wonderful old pair of cast iron horse head gate post toppers that have been used. So they do have a few spots of surface rust. I have not attempted to clean them in any way, so the lucky bidder gets that job. They have no chips or cracks in the cast iron and the horseshoes do move back and forth. They are very good quality cast iron, but I see no maker marks, which surprises me. They have a two inch opening on the bottom, so they will sit on a two inch pipe or fence post. Lions Paw, Acanthus Leaves, a Draped Swag and Sea Serpent Scales, which make for an EYE-catching combination! For the AGE of these pieces. Well over 100 years old. The Condition is EXCELLENT antique. There is one minor hairline on 1 of the pieces. Noted in very last picture that is approx 2" across. This can only be seen from the front of the piece, it does not go through to the back. A pair of late Victorian decorative cast iron brackets. 14 3/4" high, 11" length from wall. The decorative element reminds me of the type of"gingerbread" that you see on Aesthetic period bamboo furniture. The iron looks like steam-bent wood or bamboo that has been lashed in place with rattan. The surface is so crusty with old paint coats that I'm sure that more detail and maybe even a foundry name would be revealed when these are stripped. They have single mounting holes at the bottom and double mounting holes at the top. One mounting hole is broken off of one bracket but you are still left with sufficient holes to mount it securely. A STUNNING PAIR OF ANTIQUE FRENCH ORNATE GILT BRONZE CONSOLE OR FURNITURE LEGS
FATIGUED FRENCH FINDS This is a pair of simply stunning antique French bronze legs for a console or furniture. They are in the Rococo style and are dripping with shells. Acanthus leave, oak leaves and other organic embellishments. They are hollow in the centre but very heavy. Each leg weighs approximately 2.800kgs. Each one is surmounted by a square piece of wood with a wooden dowel peg protruding from the top. One of the pieces of wood has a crack in but nothing serious and you may wish to re-finish the wood as there are scratches to the surface. At the narrow end of the leg there is a large solid bronze fixing plate with two screw holes. One of these plates has been bent slightly and will need straightening. They really are a stunning pair and could be used in a number of ways. Antique wrought iron from prestigious New York City building! This is an extremely rare find! This antique wrought iron fence is from a renown New York City building erected in the late 1800's. The historical building still stands which was protected for over a century by this beautiful tall fence. The fence is 6 1/2 ft. tall and is all hand banded and turned the original way. The iron was well maintained with top grade protective paint. There is no rotting. Even on the bottom of the verticals. The finials are also surprisingly intact with very few, if any breaks. There are 6 posts which have ornate cast iron finials. These are used on either side of the two pairs of gates available with this lot. Each set of gates is 10 ft. wide. A pair of Antique gilt metal ormolu mounts or finials in the form of Swan heads. I imagine they have come off a piece of furniture/bed or perhaps a clock and would be extremely useful today to add to another piece of furniture to enhance the decorative look or cover up some sort of fault. Description A sympathetically restored pair of call bells on their original numbered pine board. Removed from a Victorian hotel dating from Circa 1880. Numbered'10' and'12' this board was in the reception area so guests could get the attention of the various hotel staff. Originally this board was slightly longer but unfortunately those bells were missing. The bells have been cleaned and lightly polished, the springs stripped, cleaned and finished with iron paste. The board has been cleaned, re coloured and waxed. Unusually the return springs over the bottom of the arm rather than the top. Not sure if they would have originally had decorations on the front. They are very decorative and ooze faded château chic grandeur. They are in the Rococo style and are in the shape of a fabulous acanthus leaf cup holding a pine cone. The gilding on the toleware has mellowed in places over the years to reveal the metal beneath which has a fabulous coppery/ bronze hue. This is a stunning effect and could not be ... morereplicated. The base of the finials have some patination to the metal and have their original bolts for fixing to a pole. The finials are of a good size and will add château chic grandeur to any window. Your bid buys the pair. They unpainted measures 37.75 wide by 9.5 tall and is 1 inch thick. The painted one is 43.25 wide by 9 tall and is one inch thick. Overall. They are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good scrubbing but will clean up nicely. Both have either dowels or dowel holes at the ends. Each andiron features a triangular body composed of volutes and a central foliate flourish, a stylized crown tops each one. These small andirons are made of cast iron and have a nicely aged patina with the expected wear. Each andiron measures 10-3/4” tall, 7-3/4” wide, and extends 10-1/2” from front to back.
