Up for auction is this beautiful. Very ornate, solid oak cabinet door. It was originally on an oak sideboard/cabinet Circa 1860-1900. The front of the door is a creme color which looks to have been painted years ago. This is a solid door. There are some nicks/wear as to be expected for age/use(doesn't take away from it's beauty) The carving on the front is in great condition. It has one brass hinge and a victorian brass pull on the front. Measures approx 13 1/2" in height, 18" in width, and 1" in depth. This is a Great Architectural piece for displaying on a table/wall! Authentic Antique Victorian Wasp Catcher Beautiful Blue Glass Great Shape
A beautiful authentic Victorian Wasp Catcher. There are many imitations out there. But this one is the real deal. An ingenious invention that is equally useful today. Simply pour an inch of sugar water into the bottom and place a plug in the top. Wasps and flies can enter through the bottom and remain trapped until they die. Perfect for use at a picnic or on a patio. This one features beautiful blue glass that appears to have been possibly hand blown. Overall, it is in great antique shape with no cracks, chips or cloudiness to the glass. The wire hangar is rusted and believe could be replaced by someone skilled at such a task, or left alone for a primitive look. Measures 7.25" High by 5.5" across the bottom. NINETEENTH CENTURY Architectural Engraving* PARIS. FRANCE* Classical Water Fountain* Made in 1877- This is a great antique architectural print for display. A sepia-toned artistic rendering of a classical water fountain submitted by a student of noted French architect Constant Moyaux and printed almost a century and a half ago. Constant Moyaux(1835-1911) was born in Anzin. France and studied art at Valencienne Academy. In 1852 he entered the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Where after students had shown sufficient merit in their work, they could compete for the Prix de Rome. This was a rigorous annual examination that offered winners a scholarship for advanced study at the French Academy in Rome. Where they studied and sketched classical architecture. Moyaux won this competition in 1861, and after returning to France, he worked on the designs ... moreof many buildings and was elected to the Academy of Fine Arts in 1898. This is an outstanding piece of antique architectural memorabilia. A great sepia-toned rendering in the classical style, published almost a century and a half ago. This antique architectural print measures approximately 21-inches-by-14-inches. And it is very finely detailed(which the scans do no justice to) It is in excellent condition and will display beautifully. This architectural rendering is an ORIGINAL PRINT- IT IS GENUINE.
