Vintage Antique Lot of 6 Unusual Oblong Hole Pointed Top Fence Post Caps Tops !!
Hi: For your consideration here is a cool unusual lot of six(6) vintage or antique galvanized steel fence post caps! These caps are about 7 1/4" tall. The outside diameter of the base is about 2 1/2" and the inside diameter of the cap opening is about 1 7/8" The more oblong than circular top hole is roughly 2" by just short of 1 3/4" inside diameter. We found no maker name but the caps are marked with what looks like'91-1915' We are not going to speculate as to whether this is a date mark, part number, or something else but these are not modern post caps and they are heavy duty weighing over 1 1/2 pounds each. The photos do the best job of describing the condition in detail, and we have tried to show all details for your inspection. Overall there are scratches/scuffs, oxidation, some areas of very light rust, ... morefinish loss, and a bit of dirt, but no cracks or missing pieces that we found on close inspection. She has the old white paint that is chippy, peely a little rusty with some dirt and with paint loss for a great patina.
