I had a wooden store sign made back around 1974 and needed a bracket for it and got the bracket from the sign maker who happened to have this one. For some reason. I don't remember, I ended up using some other bracket and I kept this one figuring that someday I would find a use for it, but it never happened. I've always kept it under cover and I came across it the other day getting some wood out of my storage building which is attached to my shop. It's about 49 to 50 inches long and on the higher end which attaches to a building or whatever you're going to attach it to it's about 22 1\2 inches high. The 2 swivel bolts where the sign is attached are about 28 inches from center to center. The 28 inches doesn't restrict that the sign has to line up exactly on 28 inches, just letting you know this particular distance. The gray finish on it right now is metal primer. The 2 bolts where the original sign was attached had a red& white metal sign hanging from at one particular point in time, because when they took it off, they cut it off and there is a piece of thin metal on both bolts that has red& white on it, probably a nice Esso or Mobil sign etc. that would be worth quite a bit these days. The sign was well made being welded and bolted both at critical points and everything is still nice and tight as the day it was made. It most likely was made back in the 1940's- 50's for a gas sign when so many of the brands were expanding their stations. This is very old, not a reproduction it's a Victorian ornate piece of wrought iron from the 1800s. The man I bought it from demo's buildings for a living. This is a more desirable wrought iron piece then the later cast iron. I believe this is a window guard rail. But it might have been a part of a balcony or porch rail or even a fence. Has the original ... morechippy pale green paint and rust. It is solid, no missing pieces or cracks. You can tell this was hand forged. Love the details of the heart like scrolls, lovely. It's 39.50" wide by 19.25" tall with"end pins" If you were to remove them width would be 35.25" and it's 1" thick. Two matching antique hand forged iron gates. Salvaged from a castle in Spain, and dating to the late 1800s. These exceptional gates feature intricately wrought designs with heedful beasts at each top corner, medallions accented with trefoils and fleurons, and foliate inspired accents throughout. The framework of each gate is all hand wrought and riveted and is supported by twisted rods. Each gate measures 32-1/4” by 91” tall and 1-7/8" thick. Antique French Hand Forged Wrought Iron Curved Staircase This French Hand Forged Wrought Iron Curved Staircase was made in France and bought in Paris. It was made about 1850- 1880. There is a French walnut handrail on the top of the wrought iron. There are no steps with the staircase. Just the railing. I think the steps were marble, I can see some marble flecks on some of the base of the staircase. Description: 6- Curved iron sections about 10' 6" long, with 6- 18" panels in each curved section. The leaves in each panel were gold leafed. 2- Landings with French period design, the 5 leaves in the panel were gold leafed. Each landing is 31" wide and 36" tall. 4- Straight pieces 2- Straight sections about 12' long, there are 6- 18" panels and 1- 30" Period French design panel. 1- Straight section about 9' ... more5" long with 6- 18" panels. 1- Straight section about 7' 8" long with 3- 18" panels and 1- 30" period French design panel. 1- Neural Post 3' tall with circling French walnut handrail. The French walnut handrail is 3 ¼” wide and 2 ¾” tall, a beautiful design to the handrail. Over 110’ of wrought iron and handrail. I believe this came out of about a 3 story building and I think it will all tie together. If a person wanted to, they could make 3 large curved staircases out of this or 5 to 6 small curved staircases. The workmanship is outstanding in the hand forged wrought iron. This is rare to find a complete curved stair case of this size. All I see on the internet are pieces of staircases. The staircase will have to be picked up. It is too much to ship; a small truck could easily move it. The starting bid figures out to $ 2,500.00 per section including handrail. For sale is a one of a kind piece you probably won't have the chance to buy again. This piece is completely handmade/ forged and weighs about 13-14lbs. The iron chains have hammered pins at the bottom to hold the hooks. And at the cast iron top to hold them in place. The hooks were obviously hand made as well. And the cast iron top looks to be hand made. When looking at the top there is a small hole where this piece could potentially be wired up to be a lamp. This amazing piece could also just work as art. Or be used to lift pallets or something.
