here is 40 ft and a few inches of antique oak wood molding. Not sure if it came off a piece of furniture, table or what, just do not know. Embossed detailed with raised carving and very detailed. Measures 2 inches wide and 1 inch thick. It is used and has some scratches and scuff marks but nothing serious. Could be used for a variety of uses. Upon returning from a three month honeymoon abroad, Joseph Schlotman and his new wife, Stella Ford, began construction of Stonehurst, one of the grandest of the great mansions that once lined the shore of Lake St. Clair in Grosse Pointe. The Schlotmans had hired Albert Spahr of Pittsburgh to design the 40 room, Early English Renaissance manor that was to occupy a 30 acre site flanked by the estates of Stella's three Ford siblings.This home was named"Stonehurst Estate. The Schlotman mansion. Which cost an estimated $2 million, was built about 500 feet from the shore of Lake St. Clair. The circular driveway and entrance were on the garden side of the house. The next to longest are 25 1/4 and 19 1/2 inches. I can measure more dimensions par request. I am not good with my woods so I am not sure what type it is, its very dark. The humming birds are really nicely done as are all the flowers. Someone really put a lot of time into this trim. They are stunning to say the least. They are on good condition with the exception of a few small cracks and chips repaired over the years. You would have to go over them with a fine tooth comb to find them. Very good repairs. Antique Architectural Salvage Hand Carved Wood Griffin Or Lion With Wings
This is a very cool looking antique architectural salvage handcarved wood Griffin or a lion with wings. It probably dates from the very late 19th to very early 20th century. It measures 10 inches tall(25.4 cm) It is 7 1/2 inches deep(19 cm) At the bottom in the front at the scroll it is 3 inches wide. But most of it is 2 inches wide(7.6 cm, 5.1 cm) I have a strong feeling this was from the front of the arm of an armchair. If you look at the bottom. You will see that one side has a strip of wood attached, whereas the other side doesn't. In the back of his head it looks as if there was another piece there which is missing(please see photos) It's developed a great old brown patina to it. It weighs just under 1 lb. 3 oz. 530 g)

The wooden interior was crafted under the direction of the Hayden Company of New York. You are bidding on the entire lot that comprises recovered wood interior pieces that were sold off at auction when the Tudor estate was demolished in 1973. Pictures have been taken of most items. Yet individual pieces have not been cataloged so no specific number of items can be assured. At least 20 pieces, possibly upward of 50 total. There is approximately 600 sq feet of paneling- enough to recreate a panel room or use the pieces to renovate several rooms. This is a designer's dream!
